VERY impressive on the slick phone call. That's how I'd have been too. I'm sure the majority of people (on both sides of the line) would not be anywhere near as sharp as those two were here. Great job.
So this guy was stalking her for eight years? Then again America's justice system doesn't do much to protect people from crazy people like that. I hate how the system waits for something to happen before they actually do something about it. I'm glad she came out of all that okay and that she wasn't killed.
the woman who lived in our house before us was attacked by someone he hid in her closet untill she went to bed and then he jumped out and beat her pretty bad
i had a stalker once a gay dude cuz im a dude and im only 13 and i stabbed him cant blame me he ran up and tried to grab me so....ya pwned he sqealed like a bitch >:)
I cannot imagine the fear this woman has had to endure. Just like the dispatcher I was happy that this woman was able to stay so calm. I am glad she has gotten married. May god watch over her!!
wow. who knew that would happen.... that is really scary......... poor woman, stil all woman should have protection if something happened like that. shes luck to be alive
Howcome the cops waited an hour? Surely they should have stormed the house before then - and if the guy started stabbing her in response, they would be able to quickly stop him. I mean FFS, what's the point of the cops being on scene if they wait till you're killed or raped to do anything?
The scumbag is out. I did find Larry Stagner on Google News Archives , but no new articles since 1996. Hope she's allright. I will pray that he gets hit by a car if he stalks her again.
"The story is not over!" This is so true. This poor woman is still afraid of him. I would like to know how life has turned for her. The man has no right to ruin her life. I pray for her!!
Stalking laws have been improved but they still don't completely protect the victims. There should be a program similar to the Witness Protection program for stalking victims and it should include mandatory lifetime GPS bracelets for offenders if they are released from prison. And offenders should be barred from being within several hundred miles of the victim.
My heart goes out to these victims. Being stalked means living with the threat of imminent harm 24/7. Horrendous!
@Gdupfromdafeetup74 your choice but be careful. I know someone who grabbed their dad's rifle and shot at people with it, and I nearly killed myself with my own dad's gun
I'm glad someone on this comment page is exercising their 2nd Amendment rights to protect themselves and their future children from psychotic fucks like the stalker in this segment.
wow, i remember my mom saud that she saw a man looking at her, and my mom got in her car, and the man got in his car, my mom started her car, and the man started his car, my mom started driving down the road, and the man fallowed her in his car, until my mom drove up to the house, and the man was watching her.
When that happens the last place you want to go is home, because then they have you boxed in, and they know where you live! Drive to a populated area and get help
Ive had an actual stalker for 3 1/2 yrs and he put me through absolute hell, he did anything in his power to find me,he would follow me, wait outside in the dark,he would threaten to kill anybody who gets in the way because i was his,and that i was going to have his babies and marry him basically he was a real nut and he just wouldent stop not even when the cops would intervene it got really really bad hed take things from me to "feel closer" he said..stalkers are horrible people!
u know i like rescue 911 but i cant listen to the intro music im 28 yrs old and have always been scared of it since i was little i dont know why but it bothers me all the time and when the commercials are done i just terrified of it

what a scary situation and be sooo thankful that the mom just happened to call her daughter and the woman was very calm on the phone thank goodness she did not panic and stayed calm because that is a very hard think to do in a life threaning or scary situation
If there was anyone in my house who didn't belong in my house and had no good reason for being in my house, i would kick their balls till they're green
The police should have just let the loser off himself. At least then she might be able to live knowing that he won't be coming after her again in eight years.
That would ruin me if that happened he ruined that perfectly normal girl now she is afraid of her own shadow he should be in jail for his life and killed he should have shot himself the police where stupid from not killing him!
It could ruin you only if you let it. I have been through some very trying things of my own but refuse to let them get the better of me. There are defensive trainings you can take to learn how to protect yourself.
The problem with "just shooting someone" even if they are intruding is, the laws are so messed up that the victom usually gets punished for protecting themselves and goes to jail instead of the intruder. Where is the justice in that?
@fox577577 That's rubbish that people "let" it ruin them. If I ruin your leg by breaking it, it's the same as breaking your spirit - it's ME breaking it, not you
That's my dad in that one (Officer Jim Simpson)!! During the filming, Chief Cummins was hit by two police cars and they really had to call 911! (He;s okay though) As for the stalker, he got out and tried to find her again, but is now living somewhare in central california...
That's my dad in that one!!! (Officer Jim Simpson)!!! Kathleen's stalker was released and almost went after her again, but is now living in Central California...(In case anyone would like to know....)
i live on a farm some one did that to me i wold shoot then in the head with my m44 mosin nagant russian bolt action rifle i own shit loads of guns in my gun locker ...
Sicko's like this who are given the oppurtunity to strike again after their prison time is up should just be put out of commission instead of being given the oppurtunity to stalk again.

Sorry but some folks are just to sick to be allowed to continue and this is a perfect example of where it is REQUIRED by society to put this poor guy out of his misery.
Give him another chance ?
What about her EIGHT YEARS of torment and now he is out?
He has had MORE than enough chances - Terminal anesthesia -be merciful, be quick, but put this guy to sleep for his and all of our sake.
"your not going to hurt me?" Officers response was "No we are not going to hurt you." what he REALLY meant was "your ass is about to eat some serious pavement dirtbag, prepare to get slammed."
That's what I thought too when I posted a comment like that a year ago. The guy asked "they're not going to hurt me?" the cop says "they are not going to hurt you".
He opens up the garage and they tackle him down forcefully.
The stalker should have never opened the garage door, but he probably did not know the SWAT team was in the garage ready to grab him.
Had the stalker known the SWAT was behind the garage door in the garage which he did not, he would have never opened it.
She did report him earier, but there probably wasn't much the police could do about it back then. They couldn't lock him up just for following her around. That's why in the end she was talking about wanting to get a bill passed that would upgrade stalking to a felony in California.
The standoff lasted TWELVE HOURS?!?!! Damn. Those cops could have easily saved the taxpayers the cost of that psycho stalker's imprisonment... and ensured he'd never be back.
No woman or man should ever have to go through the trauma of being stalked.men can also be stalked just as easily,in some cases women can stalk men too.regardless it is not acceptable and has to be stopped.
lol why is it always a real-estate agent who gets stalked or pulled over by police imposters etc, thats two 911 videos in a row involving a female real estate agent lol just saying
It was probably better that she hung up in this situation, because if the stalker figured she was talking to the cops he might have held her hostage rather than come out of the house with her.
wow! that wuz awesome how after the dude opened the garage door, the S.W.A.T team ran out and tackled him to the ground.i thought it wuz pretty funny.but i wonder wut he wanted to do in the garage.......
Okay what is up with the justice system where a man or woman gets stalked for 8 years? That's like they were treating her case like 'oh he won't do anything to you, he will just follow you, call you, send you letters and maybe break into your house to 'talk' to you' (Rolling my eyes) Keep the man in prison forever.
Which one was Larry?? The guy stalking Kathleen?? The name of the son that went after her mother Susan?? There are too many "nutballs going after ladies" segments on here to keep track of.
Scroll down to the bottom of all the comments, and there's this thing you can click that says "View All [however many] Comments", it organizes the comments so you can see which comments were being replied to. It's less confusing that way.
They met in High School. They were not friends or even acquaintances. Isn't a person that meets another for a first time an acquaintance?? If they are not friends and not acquaintances but met only once, what are they then?
It would be more like a "Psycho" than an "Acquaintance". My user name was not named after Happy Gilmore from that Sandler Movie.. My user name is named after someone else who inspires me.
Acquaintences are people you talk to on occasion, but you don't really know them well enough to consider them a friend. If he just had a class with her or something and they never talked, then they wouldn't really be acquaintences.
No, happy. The segement you're referring to is not on this site. Episode 113, Segment 1 is the one I was talking about. It IS on here. Check it out, and you'll see what I mean.
I just double checked Episode 113, Segment 1. Your right. It IS Susan. The one where the mother takes the shower when the boy lets the man has to had been the "Karen" segment.
Yep, the Karen segment is Episode 112, Segment 1. Karen and Susan were both fake names to protect their identities, though. Kathleen was this woman's real name. There was also another segment where a kid got stuck between the sink and the bathtub, I think they only used first names in that one as well, but I haven't watched it in a while.
I clearly remember that one. The kid was like 3 or 4 but he looked 9 or 10. The mom was putting on make-up because her, the dad, and the son were going out to dinner. I think the kid was simply watching his mom put on her make-up, and he slipped and fell through this small space between the tub and sink. His feet were not touching the floor, and they had to support his feet.
If theirs a chance that he will stalk her again why let him out of jail?

She did report him earier, but there probably wasn't much the police could do about it back then. They couldn't lock him up just for following her around. That's why in the end she was talking about wanting to get a bill passed that would upgrade stalking to a felony in California.

The standoff lasted TWELVE HOURS?!?!! Damn. Those cops could have easily saved the taxpayers the cost of that psycho stalker's imprisonment... and ensured he'd never be back.
.357 Magnum Bullet: $1.50
8+ years imprisonment: $80,000+
You make the call!

I would be scared as hell if that happened to me!!!!
ABroadwaystar2534 4 years ago 4
No woman or man should ever have to go through the trauma of being stalked.men can also be stalked just as easily,in some cases women can stalk men too.regardless it is not acceptable and has to be stopped.

I wondered if he ever left her alone after he got it?

It was probably better that she hung up in this situation, because if the stalker figured she was talking to the cops he might have held her hostage rather than come out of the house with her.

Yeh i see. Thanks.

Okay what is up with the justice system where a man or woman gets stalked for 8 years? That's like they were treating her case like 'oh he won't do anything to you, he will just follow you, call you, send you letters and maybe break into your house to 'talk' to you' (Rolling my eyes) Keep the man in prison forever.
orlandobabe 4 years ago
If I met that guy and saw what he was doing.
I'd kick his butt from here to japan

Larry was the name of the stalker.
wrestlegameshow 4 years ago
Which one was Larry?? The guy stalking Kathleen?? The name of the son that went after her mother Susan?? There are too many "nutballs going after ladies" segments on here to keep track of.
happy7117 4 years ago
The Stalker.

Thanks for clarification.

If they are not friends and not acquaintances but met only once, what are they then?
happy7117 4 years ago
Not Really Happy (I feel like I'm Talking To Happy Gilmore), If you found out the person was bad, then you're not acquaintances.
wrestlegameshow 4 years ago
It would be more like a "Psycho" than an "Acquaintance". My user name was not named after Happy Gilmore from that Sandler Movie.. My user name is named after someone else who inspires me.
happy7117 4 years ago
Alright.
wrestlegameshow 4 years ago
Acquaintences are people you talk to on occasion, but you don't really know them well enough to consider them a friend. If he just had a class with her or something and they never talked, then they wouldn't really be acquaintences.
allgood2000 4 years ago
No, happy. The segement you're referring to is not on this site. Episode 113, Segment 1 is the one I was talking about. It IS on here. Check it out, and you'll see what I mean.
auburn4wins 4 years ago
I just double checked Episode 113, Segment 1. Your right. It IS Susan. The one where the mother takes the shower when the boy lets the man has to had been the "Karen" segment.
happy7117 4 years ago
Yep, the Karen segment is Episode 112, Segment 1. Karen and Susan were both fake names to protect their identities, though. Kathleen was this woman's real name. There was also another segment where a kid got stuck between the sink and the bathtub, I think they only used first names in that one as well, but I haven't watched it in a while.
allgood2000 4 years ago
I clearly remember that one. The kid was like 3 or 4 but he looked 9 or 10. The mom was putting on make-up because her, the dad, and the son were going out to dinner. I think the kid was simply watching his mom put on her make-up, and he slipped and fell through this small space between the tub and sink. His feet were not touching the floor, and they had to support his feet.
