When eponine dies they just leave her on the floor, I like to call that a S-O-P. It stands for Sack Of Potatoes because that is how it looks like when they just leave her on the floor.

I don't like that she is left lying there for a bit.... marius is supposed to be left crying when she dies and is taken away.. not standing away from her....

@mammamia4ever It's because they are excited and relieved. They think they've won, so laughing is their way of letting out all of the tension and seriousness. They're happy.
