I've only killed the rogue tomato and already I am level 25 with Heavy Lance and a Kotetsu (I prefer the Heavy Lance), Barbut, Traveler’s Vestment, Battle Harness. Once I level to 30 I'm going to kill Wild Saurians to get the Bone Mail and Bone Helm. The funny thing is... I got my Kotetsu and Heavy Lance on the first kill... I got REALLY lucky and hopefully get equally as lucky while killing Wild Saurians. :|

If u wanna get lots of pheonix, what i did was, kill lots of wolves and sell the wolf pelt. and then buy the pheonix. After that keep killing Dustia till i got like 70k gil and then bought another 99 pheonix.

And also for the Dustia method make sure you run out of the area before it shows how much EXP and LP you get otherwise he won't spawn anymore.

I little advice. When doing this method turn your settings on Slowest game speed and wait mode. If its on slowest you dont have to worry about Dustia hitting you with dark. Also don't pick up Penelo until AFTER you've leveled up with Dustia to where you want. If you go to soon all characters will be low level except Vaan. Wait to get to at least 50 before you get Penelo. Saves you a lot of time in the long run.

The westersand is blocked off, the z caverns is blocked off, nalbina is blocked off, osbourne planes is blocked off.

The starter, Giza Plains Sunstone quest? Finish the Sunstone quest and drop off Penelo. Then you'll be able to go to the Westerlands again and farm Dustia.

I don't recall what places opened up when I got Fran, Balthier, and Basch, but I think whatever level you have at the time you first meet them will decide what level they'll be when they start off. At least, it's better to be safe and go ahead and level if you're trying to get them at a high level alongside Vaan.

First make sure you have lots of Phoenix downs, for the actual monster. Next make head to Westersand and find the Corridor of Sand. The passage to it is about to your right when you leave the city. Once you find it, step out back into the first area and whittle your HP down to about 10% or less and enter the area. Just wait and it should come. Then just use phoenix down on it and leave quickly, rinse and repeat.

Good vid, but you forgot to tell people how to keep chaining it. In order to make Dustia not dissapear after you kill him, you have to leave the area before his dying animation finishes, or he won't appear again until you leave the westersand.

Don't do It. I think it's hella stupid. It's best to stop around lv 30-35. When ur characters are around lv 70-80 it takes

about 100,000-200,000exp to reach the next lv.

Dustia give 1000exp. U do the math.

yeah buy 2 silver bows in nalbina and poison and blind need to be lvl 30 or higher and travellers garb: recommended cast blind and poion on 1 after kchaining wolfs to highest lvl then u cast that and have vaan and penelo pre: palace shoot on him with silver bows when he has little less than 250 hp stop shooting and wait untilll it kills him then he will drop sometimes a burning bow rare though i did it like 33 times i got 1 burning bow good luck

the only way you can break the chain is if you kill a different monster,save the game or leave the town or area you are in.....you can use potions and to make life easier turn your gambits on to nearsest foe and phoneix down so he will do it in auto mode

Here's a useful tip for the Dustia chaining - set the battle speed (in the config menu) from 'fast' to 'slow.' Because items are used instantly and it means Dustia takes longer to use dark, it's much safer!

For the Werewolves. I've been having so much trouble with these two. The strategy I've formed is to cast protect on myself and blind them. You can usually blind at least one of them. For some reason blinding both is extremely tough. It just won't happen sometimes. Like impending doom working with these two beasts.. Running terrified and your magic just doesn't work!
