  • This is why the USA should have joined the ICC, so they could prosecute everyone involved in this murder.

  • Why is it when something happens in the US that people don't agree with, their upset gets directed toward the President? We do understand that the President couldn't have done anything for this guy. He probably, hopefully, has bigger fish to fry than waste his time on this.

  • thanks for your research even then

  • I think hes the prsident now??

  • I curse this state's government for the murder of a potentially innocent man! May the entire government in Georgia suffer tramendous tribulation frrom this day forward for the stain of injustice through out your history. I pray that the highest Government brings this Karma back to you swiftly!

  • @grace200572 Funny how you speak of Karma, yet you're so quick to wish misfortune on others. You best be careful with that them there Karma.

  • @darthtalon1984 he isn't guilty and even if he was, Death penalty is smth stupid. Fortunately, Amnesty International and other NGO are hereTonight is your country making a big mistake! Peace from switzerland..

  • Fortunately, killing innocent people is not unconstitutional. The president has been doing this all over the world ever since he was sworn in. Why should he stop now? G0bama 2012! 4 more wars!!

  • FREE TROY DAVIS, FREE MUMIA

copy and paste this all over if you agree

  • @baconboy246 No thanks, chimp. The bastard Davis needs to go down and go down hard. Wednesday night is ON.

  • @eca234678 You're next you pale ape cracker!

  • @Theonealways1 In your dreams, you racist little cunt.

  • Thank you for uploading this video winny

  • Don't worry; Obama will be shot and Davis will be juiced.

  • What a wonderful video. Just before seeing this video I thought about what obama is going to do.

We are all looking for some leadership in the US I live in the United Kingdom where we dont have the death penalty.

  • I am so glad we don't have the death penalty here in the United States Virgin Islands. I have been following this case for a long time. Only God suppose tho take life away. Not Man! The bible say THOU Shall NOT KIll.

  • Will the great change agent Barack Obama speak to this or continue to remain silent? Or has another long day of China-bashing and interest-group pandering worn him too weary?

  • The US judicial system is in the dark ages.

  • One of the witnesses didn't even know how to read and the police made him sign the statement which he couldn't read. I also find it suspicious that a white cop was killed and Troy is black. I think people were a little to ready to believe that he is guilty.

  • Troy Davis deserves to be juiced. If you bully witnesses enough, they are likely to start second-guessing themseleves. These days, all you need to do is mention the word "innocence" in the court room and it takes years to get the job done!

  • Did you know that the suspected actual killer, Red Coles, went to police the morning after with a lawyer? Of course he blamed it on someone else-and immediately Davis' picture was broadcast all over Savannah. And you expect an eyewitness to be able to make an unbiased ID after seeing his picture everywhere? You need to examine the FACTS before you run your mouth. And PS did it ever occur to you that the witnesses were "bullied" the first time around, hence their recantation?

  • Troy Davis is a cop-killing scumbag and Barack Obama will NOT be our President.

  • Are you kidding me girl? He shot a cop. Would you rather have cops on the street or people with guns harming others. Instead of saying possibly innocent, you should have said definately guilty. Besides, Obama isn't going to win. His trials with drugs in youth make him a terrible person.

  • You are a moron... instead of posting a bunch of jackass opinions that have absolutely no relevance, why don't you think about what you're gonna say first... and then not say it. Or at least try to misspell under half of your ramblings.

  • @robovwv LOL. Oh Wow. I sure hope you've turned into a better person since then.

  • Give me a call when you get to Charleston, Rachel! I'll put you to work with us on the campaign. Gillian Bergeron - Obama for America Lowcountry Volunteer Coordiner - GBergeron @ barackobama . com

  • According to Court records say Troy Anthony Davis shot into a car that was leaving a party on Cloverdale Drive in a Savannah subdivision and struck a man in the head, severely injuring him by a bullet that lodged in his right jaw. A few hours later, as the Burger King restaurant was closing, a fight broke out in which Davis struck a homeless man in the head with a pistol.

  • Officer MacPhail, wearing his police uniform -- including badge, shoulder patches, gun belt, .38 revolver and nightstick -- ran to the scene of the disturbance. Davis fled. When Officer MacPhail ordered him to halt, Davis turned around and shot him. Officer MacPhail fell to the ground. Davis, smiling, walked up to the stricken officer and shot him several more times.

  • The officer's gun was still in his holster. Mark MacPhail wore a bullet-proof vest, but the vest did not cover his sides and the fatal bullet entered the left side of his chest, penetrated his left lung and aorta, and came to rest at the back of his chest cavity. The officer was also shot in the left cheek and the right leg.

  • The next afternoon, Davis told a friend that he had been involved in an argument at the restaurant the previous evening and struck someone with a gun. He told the friend that when a police officer ran up, Davis shot him and that he went to the officer and "finished the job" because he knew the officer got a good look at his face when he shot him the first time. After his arrest, Davis told a cellmate a similar story.

  • A shell casing that was found at the scene of the murder was linked to the Cloverdale Drive shooting. A woman who was staying in a hotel across the street from where Mark MacPhail was murdered identified Troy Davis as the shooter after seeing a photograph of him. She also chose his photo from a 5-person lineup, as well as identified him at his trial. Numerous other eyewitnesses also identified Davis.

  • yet nearly all of the witnesses have recanted their testimony... obviously we're not on the same page vis-a-viv the death penalty, but looks like we both like Ron Paul. all the best- CDS

  • The slain officer's widow, Joan MacPhail, decried the ruling. "I believe they are setting a precedent for all criminals that it is perfectly fine to kill a cop and get away with it," she said. "By making us wait, it's another sock in the stomach. It's tearing us up."

Take care, be careful on campus and enjoy your time in college!

Remember the victims, never the murderers - prodeathpenalty dot com

  • this is something of the point, my friend. there is a good bit of evidence pointing to this man's innocence; certainly enough to preclude his execution.

  • Rated. Free this man!!!

  • Witness testimony has been shown to be some of the poorest available and this man was sent to death row based on witness testimony. I hope his case is completely overturned.

  • THANK YOU RACHAEL COX!!!!! It will be a horrible miscarriage of justice if Troy is executed. Bless you!

  • my understanding is that there is no voting, per se. the videos for the debate are chosen by some super sceret CNN staff, etc.

  • "A student from the College of Charleston has posed this question to

Barack Obama, and it may be asked of him if it receives enough votes."

I'm not sure how to vote. Do I just have to watch the video or do I have to save it to my Favorites or give it a high rating ???

Anyway, thank you again for having taken the time for answering me.

  • Hello AutumnDevi, well thank you for your response. Actually I'm French and I've already voted in France not so long ago. My question was referring to Troy Anthony Davis. I've been on his website and there was a link to this page.

  • How do you vote ?

  • well, you register anytime after you turn 18. when you register to vote, you are automatically eligible for jury duty. oftentimes, high schools will have opportunities right on campus for the 18 year old seniors to register. after that, you pay attention to the newspapers, which will indicate a federal office (usually a local public school), where you can go on a certain day (nov. 11 for pres. elections).

  • (cont) at the place, you show some sort of identification, go into a poll booth, and use whatever ballot system that state/district has in place. theres a lot of different ways to vote including anything from machines to paper ballots, but so far all of them have been looked at as unreliable in some way or another (for more info about this, look up the 2000 presidential election).

  • i don't know if you're asking this as a joke or if you're from out of the country and don't know how the election process works, but i hope my response is helpful.

  • i thought my friend CINQMARS might be referring to voting in this video contest... not sure... but we appreciate the comments nonetheless

  • I think they mean how do they vote on the video question.
