For the creative people who want to be distinguished from the rest of the houses. If smart people and brave people and kind people and sly people have their own house, we should have ours. How about creative as a trait? Creative, artistic, inventive, resourceful, open-minded (that's an important one in my mind) and innovative could all describe this house. These traits are not seen in Slytherins, who are cunning for their own gain, nor in Ravenclaws, who are intelligent but not necessarily creative.

Oops! Someone has already thought of 'creative.' I suppose that means that our idea is a good one if we're thinking along the same lines!

even though you named the house after an owl, i think its symbol should be a fish(or other undersea creature) because out of the 4 houses, one animal slithers, one walks, one walks/flys, and one flys. And none of them can swim, so you should have one of the animals be a water creature, which ever creature you choose. Thats what i think.

I think it should be for people like Luna, who obviously don't fit into any of the houses but are stuffed into one that doesn't totally correspond to them. So, yeah, basically a house for weirdos. But then again, that would make it the bullied house probably, I mean if the population is all Luna-ey, they would just be made fun of. But if they ARE like Luna, then they probably won't care, so I'm thinking that's fine.

Actually, Slytherins use their creativity and cunning solely for self-benefit, so I would argue that being artistic and productive and inventive for positive motives, or at least for the sake of experimentation, is a distinct trait. I posted a couple minutes earlier about this idea.

To get into Strixenhoot u have to be beautiful on the inside, so u have to be honest,respectful, and a beleiver. You have to be trustworthy and willing to do something for someone else. Lieing and not being true to yourself is not in your nature. Plus you have to be beautiful on the outside, and you do that by having your own style and not following the fold. By being who you want to. That's what I think the trait should be.
