Well, I won't comment on the pretty roses, and butterflies displayed here, but the song sounds fantastic. I like the arrangement, and the vocals are splendid. Lyrics are touching, too.
She does not describe him as a rose, she says remember me when you see a white rose, so it is her that the rose is symbolized. Ghosts as used in this song often represent memory "haunted by ghosts of the past" is a common expression. When he sees this rose it reminds him of her, but like a ghost he cannot touch it, cannot feel it because she is the representation of the rose and visa versa. At the same time he sees her in this rose. So its beautiful and heartbreaking at the same time.

Doesn't look like it went through the first time. The song, to me. Sounds like a love story between a "princess" and her "knight", and as you listen you pick up on the sub-plot of secret meetings between the two, and eventually they're forced apart. Thus "Ghost Of A Rose", their secret love but a phantom, and as beautiful and short lived as a seasonal rose.
It isn't a guitar, at least not in the traditional sense of the word. It's a lute, a medieval precursor to the guitar. It's the instrument you always see Bard's using at renaissance fairs.
The " Person ", is Ritchie Blackmore ex Deep Purple and Rainbow..one of, if not the most talented...guitar and stringed instrument played around today.

Doesn't look like it went through the first time. The song, to me. Sounds like a love story between a "princess" and her "knight", and as you listen you pick up on the sub-plot of secret meetings between the two, and eventually they're forced apart. Thus "Ghost Of A Rose", their secret love but a phantom, and as beautiful and short lived as a seasonal rose.

It isn't a guitar, at least not in the traditional sense of the word. It's a lute, a medieval precursor to the guitar. It's the instrument you always see Bard's using at renaissance fairs.

The " Person ", is Ritchie Blackmore ex Deep Purple and Rainbow..one of, if not the most talented...guitar and stringed instrument played around today.
