Min Pins were originally bred to live solitary lives with little human contact as rodent control in barns. I think it's a poor owner that trains all that character away. Yes, I know you wouldn't let a larger dog get away with that but most larger dogs are bred for strength, size, jaw strength and loyalty. Min Pins are bred to be Hyper little go getters. My mins are house trained and Loyal. I wish Caesar would come to my house, I'd put Bino on his little fruitcake behind, for the false info.

Sorry to tell everyone that is a min pin, stag red. Min Pins are loners and aggressive by nature,they were bred that way. I have two Stag red Min Pins, Bambino and Samson, they were handpicked for their aggression to small fuzzie animals. Mine are pets and work animals. They protect my home from intruders, rodents and unwelcome guest. We live near a creek and have all sorts of pest that look to gain access to my home, to no avail. This little dog is just showing displeasure with the camera.

@Jessica141996 Its called training from youth. It has taken me two long years but I finally got my Min to stop barking on command, sit on command, and not stray when let off a leash. Also of course biting has been forbidden. It took a lot of diligence but with training and a stern but caring demeanor it can be done. Now that the lovely lady Luna has been trained she is a just a complete joy to be around and family and friends can all comfortably enjoy her company!

The problem with these little dogs is folks think its funny when they growl and get mad but its not cute. The dog is stressed and one day may bite someone. I feel very sorry for these dogs. Min Pins need to be kept calm.

I had a Min Pin for 15 years. My dog was born with an attitude. They do get cranky but for most of all they are picking and playing with you when they growl at you. Dobie was 5 when I had my second child and everyone under the sun wanted me to give him away. I gave him a chance. He cried when the baby came home. As we went on with our everyday life we had no problems. When my baby started crawling that was it he was fair game for my Min Pin. Dobie loved the baby.

I don't know why everyone is saying that min pins are nuts if you wake them up. Mine doesn't growl or show teeth if I happen to wake him up. He either looks at me super groggy, or gets excited to go outside. >_> I find that weird that your dogs would growl at you like that.

Min pins are very dominant dogs! They are born pack leaders even tho its not good for them, Iv had my current one a month and its on going work. shes only 18 months and rottie, huskies, Labs ect fear her and follow her! she was just like that when we got her.. shes on going work but so loving! Try using tips or watching the dog wisperer. it works a treat! now mine is only agressive (through fear) to new people. but shes better with dogs and more acceptable to people now!
