  • I will son.

  • Interesting.

  • ...Damit. You are Right.

  • It might not be the world that is sick and twisted my friend...

And I think the word you're looking for is 'rhetoric.'

  • grammar gestapo

  • Buckman82 - are you suggesting that we should seek to simply limit the evils of government, but not eliminate it? Presumably then, there is some benefit then to having a government? Share with us just what that benefit is.

  • Well the track record for gov's is bad i know. Yet i believe there should be some one there to make sure someone can not screw me on a deal and never worry about repercutions. Second i believe there should be some organization for the volenteer soldiers that want to Defend our country. And third the gov is meant to be there to help me keep my rights and privacy. If i wanna swallow walnuts the gov is there to tell people they cant stop me no matter how unhealthy it is.

  • Do you address country protection in your podcasts?

  • I sure do.

  • Hey stefbot,

In your world, how does a country protect itself from invasion or military attack?

  • I don't think that Ron is above criticism, but the extreme way that people are criticizing him is very unfair. The guy deserves a tremendous amount of respect for sticking to his principles. He is the real thing.

  • I don't think that Ron Paul is perfect or even close, but he is having a profound effect on this country. He is a major catalyst for freedom. He is getting real results. I have talked with many RP supporters and they will be activists for freedom for the rest of their lives. I know that I will be.

  • I think that the way to do it is the way that Ron is doing it now. He is exposing many people to how freedom really works and how you can implement this into various issues. I have learned a tremendous amount from him initially and from others who understand. I am amazed at how many people criticize Ron Paul. It is unbelievable. Why is he getting so much negative attention. Even from people that you would think would be supporting him.

  • Reagan tried it before, he was going to get rid of the Department of Education. Goldwater tried before him...

Ron Paul has no chance, and it would be even worse for libertarianism if he gets elected, the special interest groups would simply paralyze the economy and the uninformed would simply conclude that freedom didn't work.

  • One thing that has happened recently is some of the Wall Street people have come out in support of Ron Paul. If enough of these people got behind him, it could change everything.

  • The special interest groups won't necessarily suffer if Ron gets elected. If Ron were to get some of his platform enacted, the people and special interest groups could both benefit. If Ron was elected, his presidential speeches would be something to hear. I wonder how much clapping there would be.

  • I think that your analogy is interesting, but I don't think that it holds up when comparing it with Ron Paul. Ron knows way more about what he is doing than your son character. You seem to want to go from the way it is now to a completely ideal system. The only real way that it could happen is a complete revolution instigated by people that are completely dedicated to this ideal. I don't believe that this is the way to go.

  • Perfect video. 5*

  • Spectacular!!! Bravo. I loved it. I totally agree. I have found Youtube very active with Ron Paul supporters. When I have spoken against Ron Paul I have been murdered ... I am sure you have also. Great video.

  • Thanks bro! :)

  • I love this podcast. It really fucked me up in a good way. It really pissed me off until I realized I couldn't argue against it.

  • Yeah, ok, go start an "Anarchist Party"....

The paradox will $uck you up even more....

And don't forget to salute your anarchist brothers and sisters....LOL.....

  • There is no such thing as an Anarchist Party, at least not that I'm aware of. Though, it would seem like something that we should have in every election. Not only should we be able to choose between fucking ourselves over with 2 morons, we should also be able to choose to end this game of politics all together as well. At least there would be the appearance of a choice. The only reason it's paradoxical is because it's not written into the constitution as an option.

  • Another paradox.... "Do Anarchists need a Constitution"....LOL.....

Continue painting yourself into the corner!

  • I'm not quite following. We have a constitution because the founders thought we needed one. They also thought that there should be checks and balances upon the government. Therefore, I think it is paradoxical that there wasn't something written into the constitution that allowed for a peaceful overthrow of the system.I'm not offering prescriptions, I'm just stating facts.

  • If you have any serious concerns, I'll be happy to talk to you about them. But I never said anything about an anarchist party, nor about salute anyone, nor about anarchists needing a constitution. Do you want a conversation or not?

  • Yeah, it all stems from this foolish podcast aimed against supporting RON PAUL, and instead supporting Anarchism. I am for being realistic, and I am for RON PAUL who is definitely IN FAVOR OF FOLLOWING OUR CONSTITUTION.

That's my anchoring critism aimed specifically at this podcast!

  • Actually, that's not a criticism, just a statement of opinion.

  • You Dorf, a criticism is an opinion, which needs to be stated to be sensed by others.....

What obscure dictionary are you using..../?

  • No, a criticism of an intellectual argument requires reason and evidence.

  • both were provided!

  • The fact that Ron Paul likes the Constitution is not an argument. I like Shakespeare and ice cream, does that prove anything? It's like saying god exists because the Bible says so - it's not an argument at all! But never mind, this is not a good venue to get into all this...

  • I think you drifted off on subject into your own interpretation. Anyway, we won't get any where with this.

  • Stef,

Watching an Anarchist Salute in Internet is like catching the Pope jack off...

Be a man, take the Hemlock! ya' pinhead philosopher!

  • Stef, I am still laughing at you...

    watching you SALUTE so sincerely...

    .....LOL....

Or are you gonna try to write off that small technicality? LOL... too freakin' funny....

    hmmmm.."check mate"

  • So you think we need to focus more on abolishing government than on electing a president that would reduce government. Makes perfect sense [rolls eyes.]

  • 'rolls eyes' is not an argument, but thanks for watching!

  • A salute is regarded as a form of "respect to authority" (one renders a salute to superior officer, who replies in kind).

However, it is the purpose of "Identify: Friend or Foe"... that simple! of course, relating to Power Struggles, which of course, begets organization.. and there the anarchist argument falls on its sword!

  • ANARCHISTS UNITE........ LOL

Hint: We have organized around leaders since my early days when I was still playing with animal bones and firestones!

In the meantime, even the invention of electricity has made homo sapien any smarter!

to my grand 10^3 son (::

    "VOTE RON PAUL"

  • Hey, I think I saw you "Salute"....

The origin of the "Salute" is for purpose of "Identify: Friend or Foe" (knight lifts visor).

An anarchist should never salute, that's a form of power organization!

  • correction:

"even the invention of ... has NOT made .. any smarter!

  • Metaphors are wonderful places to hide bad ideas.

  • I agree, but calling an idea 'bad' doesn't exactly prove your case!

  • Indeed.

  • i prefer it when your driving round in your car, dont know why, think its because your living room has a cold feel and sound to it.

  • We can collaborate to compete, but the answer is if we can collaborate to NOT compete. Until we achieve fair competition that is of course.

  • Anarchism is a great philosophical ideal. But right now we are a statist society. How would you manage the transition without resorting to violence and still keeping the government agents from retaking control?

  • Excellent question - for that, you'll have to listen to a few of my podcasts... :)

  • Cool. Which ones would you recommend?

  • Just take the first half-dozen or so - or, on my web site, there is a link to anarchist podcasts...

  • It still depends on complete volountary participation though, liberty is a prerequisite for this type of social orginization. Anarchism in America was possible for the first half of our history, but now . . . :(

  • no income tax

    no federal reserve

    no cia

    no aggressive war

i'll take the rest of the bullshit in order to accomplish these things. if they get put back into place as soon as his is out of office, 'the system' is unworkable. i am probably just naive though, and have been tempted by false hope.

  • I had a good debate with a pro-Paul supporter, it's podcast 775 on my web site.

  • Can there be a government without coercion? a completely voluntarily funded government with a single goal in mind..protect the rights of the people who control it?

  • You bet! Listen to my podcasts for an answer...:)

  • Damn it, Steph, can you specify which one?

  • Why don't you start off with his first podcast, "The Stateless Society"? Listening to this podcast will answer many questions and also raise many others which are addressed in podcast number 2. You'll probably listen to about 10 or 20 in order before you start exploring all the different topics from his many podcasts.

  • What do you think of Bonhoeffer you basically destroyed the Nazi Military Structure from the inside out? It is much easier to stab a dictator in the back then to get a sniper to shoot him, wouldn't you agree?

  • I love your output Stef, thanks!

But what's the right choice in this election? They're all skunks, but isn't the least smelly skunk the way to go? This country has had the same rotten system for centuries. It should but it can't (or won't) change overnight. Aren't baby steps the only real solution?

  • I would say no - don't vote, don't participate in the political process - just talk about real freedom with whoever you can! ;)

  • If the system collapses now, how much chance do we have for freedom to take over? You have said yourself - our shit sandwich tastes better than many others.

  • True, I think that it's very important to spread the truth about philosophy, so as few people as possible blame freedom for the collapse, and correctly blame coercion instead...

  • It seems that Ron Paul can be a great spokesman for these ideas. The US president commands a much larger audience than almost anyone else on earth.

We all know that our message is not widely accepted, that we are looked upon as insane, even Ron Paul is seen as a nut for his position. I can see no good in allowing another fascist/socialist to win the vote, regardless of the principles involved in voting.

  • I totally agree with you...Bonhoeffer joined the Nazies which he hated and he destroyed Nazism from within...some anarchists do not want to talk about that.

  • Bonhoeffer joined a secret group of military dissidents, but by that time he was already on the Nazi Party's bad side. He was in no position to destroy anything "from within," and one could argue that neither is Ron Paul.

  • That is an interesting idea. Governments are tyrannical and maybe Stef's outlook is correct. Bottom line though is that government is tyrannical and people are rational.

  • is it easier to secede from a region controlled by a powerful state or a weak state?
