  • thats not a tarantula

thats a wolf spider or other spider

  • @arachnidsrulz12

That's indeed THE tarantula, man - Italian spider that can be found around Taranto city. The name 'tarantula' has been shifted by english speaking nations to other, relatively big species like bird-eating spiders etc.

  • @arachnidsrulz12

Lycosa Tarentula (the TARANTOLA) is indeed a wolf spyder from lycosidae family, like any other wolf spiders. From Ancient greek lycos = wolf.

  • beautiful

  • Very nice... I have to get one for my future collection. ;)

  • Thank you :) indeed, they are really nice. Need to get me a new one, lost this one :(

  • i love spiders like that! what camera do you use? sorry for my english :P

  • I use a Nikon Coolpix, so nothing fancy.

  • I am scared of spiders. . . In my opinion, a female spider would be the best thing to be, because I don't have to worry about other spiders at all.

  • Well, then you would have to be the biggest badass spider in your neigbourhood ;)

  • beautiful lyco! =D
