I bought a built Mud Duck on Long Island 2 years ago. There were taxi tests but never any flights till this year. The first take off ended badly when the motor quit and the heavy nose brought her down hard. Rebuilt finally I had success with zero ballast. See Mud Duck Success finally
Nice Duck! I guess there wasn't enough induced drag in the design for Bill :) , I'll have to work on that. I am curious as if the flaps on the wing were actually flaps or ailerons and if they were being used?
Too funny! We all said the ducklings were why it DID fly! The pilot has attempted to fly this about 6 times this Summer and there was always a problem. We were all shocked when it left the ground.
The majestic MUD DUCK...DAMN the ducklings caused a duck tail turbulence!! Little leaches! Peel those down feathered blood suckers off and fix the flippered feet (landing gear) and reform the flying V (or is that geese?)!!
Great landing :-(
