  • This was great! Wonderful soundtrack choices for each scene. Lost In Space could really work well as a CGI series -- they can keep all the retro design aspects, never have to age the kids, and the aliens can be more than a guy in a carpet or silver paint!!!

  • Very nicely done. I enjoyed it.

  • The best musical score ever to open a television show!

  • Actually, the idea of this video was completely surrounded by West "decking" Smith. Then I built the rest of the video around that. Thank you for the comment.

  • Really enjoyed that! Great job of editing in the sound effects and voices! Loved to see West belt the good doctor. He should have shot him too! Maybe in the next episode.

  • Great work i must admit! this is actualy have must took place after the last episode of the entire series junkyard in space. That final episode actualy didn't explain much about what the robinsons become after that, they have returned back to their home planet? or just continue their space adventures.Like many other series they have close it just like that,at least to i dream of a jeanie they have made some movies to show us wich was the true end.

  • I like the way the tripod set up stays intact and standing when teh dinosaur stumps right by it! LOL

  • @PiroozAzDirooz Well the Monster DINO was really careful - plus that would have been one more thing to animate. I wish now I had made his tail slap that tripod up in the air - landing on it's top with a puff of dirt!!

  • @hamiltonpl That(Dino tail slap) would have been great. I sent your work to a friend in London, he loved it and wants more! Is there more we can see? You did great.

"Oh The Pain! The Pain!" LOL

  • Dear Hamilton: Simply fantastic!! Amazing serie. Great effects and sound!!

    Wagner from São Paulo/Brazil.

  • This was really fun to watch!

    Excellent opening credits!

  • Where did you get the original theme music? All the cds with TV themes have the synthesized version on them.

  • @bradhig Look up the multi CD set - Fantasy Worlds of Irwin Allen and I think LALA Land label has a 40th anniversary Lost in Space CD set too. Good luck.

  • Love that launch sequence. The Jupiter 2 sitting on the launch platform with a countdown clock and soldiers around it. I just thought of a weird idea. A ship like the Jupiter 2 is on a launch pad in Ekaterinburg centered in a certain cellar with the roof open of course. As the ship is about to take off Bolsheviks attack the control room and someone falls into a control panel causing the ship to be sent bad commands sending it off course.

  • This is very nicely done and with a lot of love.....Thank you for this!!!!!

  • This is sooo cool!! I hope you do more of these. I loved the original TV series. I use to watch it when I was a kid.

  • Hamilton! very cool, I love his animated version, I'm always seeing parabens,,, reminds me my childhood 70 years-fernando from brasil/petropolis

  • Someone may have mentioned this but Maurine's hair is SEXY! And penny is BUILT! When did Will get so buff?! Too bad West didn't think to shoot the duetronium while it was in the T-Rex creature's mouth(he appearently missed a certain shark flick...). Wow, Smith ran into the ship VERY smoothly. I seem to remember an episode where the Robot stood alone against an attacker and when 'WE' next saw him he was de-activated. Was that the logic?

  • @Velocity9s No. It's not necessarily logical but that's the point it makes us wonder "what happened?".

  • Also, incredible job re-creating the voices, u did so good!

  • @angel55676 The voices were from Season 1 episodes. I just had to string them together in such a way to tell a story.

  • @hamiltonpl Could you string episodes together from SPACE CREATURE into The NOT so Great Vegetable Rebellion, so we see that it was only Wills dream

  • @artax84z That's a good idea. But we might have everything after WAR OF THE ROBOTS a dream.

  • This looks great but... Well, I've talked to CGI experts before and when I ask them how you can stuff up CGI, and they ALL mentioned trying too hard on the faces. I think you've tried to hard, maybe a little less detail. Don looks emo here, which is a shame cause he was so HOT.

But what am I complaining about, this must've been so hard to do! Besides, I couldn't do any better lol... so other than the faces, A-M-A-Z-I-N-G job!

  • @angel55676 It's interesting you say this about the faces. I did try very hard - HOURS of work researching straight-on and profile shots of the actors from the TV show. But recently, I decided if I had to do it again or continue this in any form - I would likely use the faceroom in POSER with existing face texture maps- they will look better. All I need to do is have them "resemble" the character and I think it will be fine. My best faces are Don, Smith, and John. tks for the comments.

  • Loved it! You certainly gave Judy a sexy walk but what happened that the Robot was suddenly deactivated?

  • @Monkofmagnesia - well that is a mystery isn't it?

  • Wonderfully done and very entertaining

  • Pretty darn good! Although Don never would have slugged Dr. Smith. Threatened but never hit. Just wouldn't have happened. For all its faults Lost in Space had good values and a young man would not have beat up an older man. That is why no one can make a new Lost in Space...today's values (or lack thereof) would shine though. Lost in Space is part of a decent world that has sadly passed into history. Today foul and coarse are the best we can hope for in entertainment.

  • @IstvanN1961 Nowadays they would have had Don punch him and after Dr. Smith landed Don would have stood over him and emptied a clip of laser ammo into his torso.

  • Wow! Next time put Judy and Penny in bathing suits!

  • what a punch by Don

  • Great Stuff.... Enjoyed it.

  • This kicked as! where is Will, tho?

  • @mpsycho11 He's in the last shot - in the Space Pod...

  • @mpsycho11 Will was right at the end.

  • Mr. hamilton are you responsible for all thse incredible CGI's??? You are a genius! I"m not that crazy of CGI's--but your s are tastefully, invenfully done--you also include the original voices and great original music . That shows me you have a sensitive care for the original TV series-- THAT is intelligence--and makes your cgi's fun to watch!!

  • Judy's face look oddly mannish at points, but otherwise the Land Of the Lost In Space bit was fun. Don was well done and the robot was perfect!

  • Nice work. I just don't remember Penny having that nice a rack on her.

  • Well Done! Excellent Job!

  • Ohh, so close. Best CGI LiS yet. Maybe in a few more years you won't be able to tell if its real or now. This version will make a very nice PS2 game. Please keep up the great work!

  • you should make a version where don take judy in the rover ....and fucks her brains out.....even giving it to her up the ass

  • Judy had a nice little wiggle in her walk.

    Ahhhh, the memories.

  • great stuff.love how hot maureen and penny look.

  • My gosh this is great. Can't wait to watch them all.

  • nice work!

  • Judy looks a bit scary.

  • Doesnt Smith realise that he maybe he better not piss off the Robinsons,or he wont have a way home. Maybe they outta just put him in the freezing tube and keep him there. He causes almost all the troubles. If he doesnt cause them ,he aggravates the problem more.John is really gullible when it comes to Smith. Why do they put up with him?

  • Wasnt there 2 times when the Robinsons were going to or threaten to leave Dr Smith on a planet while they left. One time in the first season "Attack of the Monster Plants". Second time in the third season "the Space Destructors".The first time I think they wanted him to think that they were going to leave him because he didnt pull Jon and Don out of the quicksand. The second time John was going to really leave him because he almost turned Will into a cyborg. But Smith conned him into not doing it.

  • Fantastic stuff! This is brilliant!

  • That is GREAT!!!!!

  • Great work!

  • AWESOME!

  • awesome .... you bubble-headed booby !

  • Nice Work!!

  • WOW! This was truly amazing! Well done!

  • Please make more!

  • This was the best yet of anyone making a story out of CGI. Love it, love it, absolutely love it. Please do more, for a moment I was back in time watching a Lost In Space episode for the first time. DO MORE!!!

  • Phil! You never cease to amaze me at how fast you've gotten a hold of Poser! Thanks for the film credits! - SteveA

  • This is great!!

  • Wow. I watched all the episodes with my dad, they were great along with some bad ones. I would rate this along side some of the greater episodes of Lost in Space, you did an EXCELLENT job.

  • @bigbowser101 It was just a bunch of random events. Clever animation, nice characters and sets, but not much on the plot.

  • I agree. However, one thing to understand about this is that the guy that did the animation could only use the voice recordings that are available in the 3 seasons of Lost in Space. Trying to make a new plot that is interesting would be quite the challenge. Even so, this had more plot consistency and (in my opinion) is better than some of the Season 2 episodes that are stinkers.

  • @bigbowser101 The only thing I could think of while watching this was "oh, the pain".

  • @fjccommish the pain of it all, thats funny as hell dude.

  • @bigbowser101 it took me awhile to realize that the majority of episodes from the second season of LIS were played strictly for laughs - the competition being Batman's phenomenal popularity during its first season..it's been stated that LIS 'lost its direction', this, imho, being the reason...

  • @disabled1955 That's true. To compete with Batman and Robin, they mostly used the trio of Will, Dr. Smith, and the Robot as main characters in the episode. One of the always laughable jokes my family has is that during many Lost in Space episodes, it's rare for Judy to have more than 10 lines per episode because of will and penny's biological parents wanting fairly large screen time for them as a child actor..... or something like that

  • @disabled1955 The fact that LIS was played for laughs in Season Two and beyond was a definite downfall for the show...the hard science fiction and survival horror elements of Season One would have (imho anyhow) been a perfect counterweight to the nonsensical shenanigans of Batman.

I think the "Batman effect" is what killed The Green Hornet too, people were expecting something lighthearted, and got the opposite. Noone was ready for it.

  • @Shawnster65 thinking in terms of keeping up with the Joneses can, and in this case, did, have the opposite effect..from what i've seen (and read), Batman piqued and valley'd very quickly (the first season was funny and highly energized; the second season seemed forced; Adam West, at least, looked highly embarassed and very uncomfortable)..the initial success made the powers that over confident, and, yea, instead of competing, LIS should had stayed its original course (so to speak)...

  • @disabled1955 Right on! The first season had some VERY scary moments, the pique of them being "Follow The Leader," the season's finale. Other great ones were "Invaders From The Fifth Dimension" and the classic showdown between B9 and Robbie in "War Of The Robots." Looking back as an original second-gen fan (watching it in rerun in 1969 when I was 5 and all thru the 70's and beyond) I have to say that it's great that we had LIS as it was, as opposed to not at all.

  • @Shawnster65 one point i forgot to mention was the 'belief' that LIS could have gone for another season; but the proverbial handwriting was already on the wall..in the TV Guide of the time, there were four affiliates listed for LIS, and by the end of the second season, two had dropped it..there were only 24 eps,CBS pre-empted it more often (also pre-empted locally for two weeks (between a network pre-emption)..if they were trying to destroy the show during its third season, they succeeded...

  • @disabled1955 Hmm..some ineresting but ultimately sad facts :-( Had it gone the way of the affiliate stations, I wonder if they would have changed the formula back to it's original greatness.

Odd that Batman is always seen as a factor in LIS's doom--I met Butch Patrick at Chiller Theatre once, and he said that it ruined The Munsters as well. Seems the Caped Crusaders did more harm to the fair citizens of TV Land than the foul, corrupt criminals of Gotham City..

  • @Shawnster65 never heard that Batman had anything to do with LIS's demise: by this time Batman, which had been seen twice weekly, was only on Thursdays when both shows hit the skids..hm, but we hear so many stories, but now as an adult, i look at the third season as two-thirds 'not good'...but that's me (fave: Antimatter Man..least: Great Vegetable Rebellion)..

trivia fact: CBS had a choice: LIS or Star Trek, and made what i consider the best choice..wish they hadn't mucked it up...

  • @disabled1955 Sorry for the misgiving on Batman being an LIS killer..it's just that there have been some statements to that effect in terms of it being the reason LIS went super corny and the formula backfired. There were other factors, naturally.

Even more interesting...it was said that NBC was going to pick up Batman after it was cancelled (this on a documentary I'd seen once.) Then NBC would have stood for "National Batcasting Corporation." LOL, man that was a bad one ;-)

  • @Shawnster65 i know i've heard, and seen, more than one thing as to LIS's demise (i think it was June Lockhart who said the show could have gone another season)..i do remember each of the 3 seasons being 'very different' from each other..in terms of NBC picking up Batman, maybe it's a good thing they didn't - i don't think Adam West has lived it down yet..haven't seen 'a whole lot' of Batman, but every time i see Adam West, this is were my mind goes...

  • @disabled1955 One thing people also tend to forget, was that LIS was basically the first intergalactic family TV show too! And June Lockhart made a living off of letting kids callher Mom on Earth AND in Space, lol You'd have thought she'd have become an intergalactic child psychiatrist with three seasons in Space, lol ;-)

That said, with regard to Batman, the reactor core for the J2 was used for the reactor in the Batcave--look closely and the seriesof lights on the bottom are the giveaway

  • Fantastic!

  • LOVE IT! MORE! MORE! MORE!
