I love the new games but then again I'm only 13 so those are the ones I first played. Growing up I remeber my dad playing the games with me watching.  I recently found the older ones and tried to play them but the controls confused me. I'm just pointing out that for the "older" generation the original ones are better but for young people like me the newer ones will probably be better. It all depends on what you first played but I think we can all agree that it is an awsome series.

when Lara was little, her mum pulled out the sword which took her AND the sword to Avalon.

but when Lara is older she goes looking for the sword fragments of Excalibur.

HOW CAN EXCALIBUR be in differnt pieces if it was already in one piece, AND taken to Avalon with her mother???

Although this, as well as anniversary and underworld are amazing games as well, they will never have the magic that the older ones had, nor the memories. Although these new games are awesome, the first four will always have a special place in my heart.

I've been playing tomb raider since it first came out, and this game stands as a turning point of the series - a monument, to the change of Lara, not only her voice, but physically also, as she was took into the new generation of gameplay, and plot-lining :)

If you read the Game Informer cover story, you'll know that Crystal made it to make her more human... to make her a hero you want to believe in. 'Cause let's face it, the old Lara was, in their words, "too strong that we were always one step away from her." Definitely true. The reboot - simply titled Tomb Raider - is out to change all that. Her face, the plot, etc. were all tailored to make her more relatable. PUUUUMMPPPEED.

I loved this game and have played in numerous times just as the old ones. However it was not as tough as the older ones were. When I finished this game three days after I got it I still thought of it as a great game, with outstanding music, scenery, and very well story, but way too short. I was always under the impression this type of games should be harder or longer.
