  • This is Awesome you guys!!! I lived in Zimbabwe 17yrs ago and I used to listen to the boys music when they would come to Zim to perform. Loved them.. Still do, this brings back a lot of memories.

  • oh yes you are right.they remind me of the old days playing around my late mum. my kids love the songs though they don't understand what's been said and we always dance to them every time we listen to them. the songs makes me shade tears of joy when i listen to them and the beat is just something else, trying to dance the way they used to dance them songs

    In this song they sing complaining about the social challenges of this village.He later vows that he never go back because of this divisive behavior of the village.The songs goes like:

    The village of Lubabo  I will never go there There is too much verbal quarrels

    there is a lot of backstabbing/deceit/ backbiting there is a lot of lies and lies

    I cry yo yo

  • Navulu, is song in which a son always remembers or reconunts(Kuvuluka) the words of his Late Dad(Tata)/Mom(mama)used to teach,instruct him.The song says:

  • As you know zambia has 73 languages. These songs, I beleive, are in kaonde (kikaonde). But many songs by the mulemena boys are in bemba (icibemba). This is not my language but I can confortably understannd what they are saying. Not good enough to translate with confidence :)
