This is a very stupid remark. The situation of the asylum seekers cannot be compared with the situation of the 50000 people overstaying their visas. If the government knew about who the 50000 were they would send them back to their countries anyway.
But the situation here is that we have people wanting to clearly, with the permission of the government enter Australia and this is not permitted. If we allow these people then we have to allow every other boat that comes in the future to enter.

This is getting very serious. The asylum seekers are begging for their lives. This situation is the same as the situation of the St. Louis ship, as portrayed in the epic film "Voyage of the Damned".
In that catastrope, the US refused entry of the ship and consigned those poor Jews, including children to the Nazis. The United States of America has never gotten over the shame.
Is Mr. Rudd going to do the same?? Will he now force these people back to murder like the USA did to the Jews?

Would you also consider the original people(Aboriginal) of Australia also trash.....Australia's treatment of them has been nothing less than disgracefully racist...a vile and venal system of overt racism exist in that country...
