I feel that Nintendo should widely vary their characters as there are more than just White or Italian people in the world. I would love to see all different races appear in Mario, as they definitely need WAY more human characters anyways. All they usually have is dumb goombas and koopas and other useless characters with the only humans usually being Mario, Luigi, the princesses and Waluigi and Wario :/

@HitomiSusuki1 i dont agree..... i think the idea of mario came around when blacks and whites were separated. i believe that is why all the characters are white. and when black people where treated equally i think that they didnt really want to change the characters. i feel that nothing should be changed in this classic game

Yes, Mario was created during the 1980's as you are well aware of, the very first game being Donkey Kong which debuted in 1981. Also, the main basis of Mario, Bowser (Donkey Kong att) and Peach (Pauline att) were suppose to be based off of Popeye, Olv Oil and Bruno, who as you know are all white.

During the Mario Golf and Mario Tennis Series, they seemed to have thrown together a bunch of random characters probably in hopes that one would make it big. Sadly, they were pretty much nothing but fillers :/ I hope that they come up with something more than just goombas, koopas and all those others guys that we already have enough of, and make a human character that will be popular :)
