That's exactly what they do, the paralyzing bite to the spine...And it woks for all the creatures it hunts...Even huge rats...The only thing they attack is the back of the neck, seems to protect them from kicks, scratches, and bites, during their epic battles. @lubelenge From what I read the Stoat is a cousin to the powerful Wolverine and Badger. No wonder the rabbits can't fend the stoats off because there probably tough like their relative the Wolverine. lol I guess the only thing a stoat should worry about being eaten from are Hawks, Foxes and Coyotes. Or their own cousins the Badgers and Wolverines may make a meal out of a stoat as well.
Man I have a very sweet pet rabbit and her sister passed away a few years ago in a heart breaking illness based death. But if I ever saw something like this I don't know if it's a domestic or majestic stoat but dude I'd snap it's neck. Frick that stoat.

stoats can hypnotize hares, believe it or not... they do a wierd dance, and when the hare is totally mesmerized they attack.

The stoat is a natural predator to the rabbit so they do hunt and kill them despite the size difference, I'm saying that for the benefit of people who don't know. However that Rabbit looks like a Mixie to me.

Stoats kill by biting at the base of the skull which renders the animal semi paralysed because it damages the brain.
But the rabbit is still alive, it just can't run away!
