Ryan Shanahan is just one of many health gurus who are trumpeting the effectiveness of utilizing the kettlebell into the exercise regimen. Don't knock what you know nothing about. Rob Riches could realistically get better results in less time in the gym, by adding the kettlebell tool.
@FYPNLP Kettle bells are great for giving you DYNAMIC strength and for combat like boxing , wrestling , judo. But for body building you don't need it. I would reccomend Kettle Bell for anyone who would like to develop quiality strenght. But don't watch this guy for that. Vadim Kolganov is best for that ...

this guy is a joke, minimum weight for a man is 16 kg yet he recommends 8kg, which is a starter for a woman. His exercises are garbage, it's muscle isolation which completely defeats the purpose of the kettlebell, and finally I can't believe he's promoting the myth of spot fat removal, doing a "gun sling" will not reduce fat in that area, only cardio will. If you want to work out with kettlebells get at least a 16kg if you are a guy and 8kg if a woman and a copy of Pavels "Enter the Kettlebell".

I've been using kettlebells only 4 months now. I started with a 16kg & then got a 24kg, recently i got a 36kg & i love them! There are so many exercises & i still use my 16kg for certain things.
I use my kettlebell 2-3 hours a day 6 days a week & it's because i love them lol. I used to be a huge stoner & was getting fat, i replaced my marijuana with kettlebells & i love them :)
@holywaterx i think it's down to the individual. you can't say that the minimum weight for a guy is 16kg. heck i was i'll for best part of a year and lifting 5 kg was tiring for ages. so maybe it might be your minimum, but not for everyone.

There's a big difference between bodybuilding with weights and exercising with kettlebells. With Dumbels you isolate your upper arm, but Kettlebells incorporate many musclegroups at one time. with kettlebells you build functional strength. for instance, when you push your car out of a hole when it's stuck, you wont isolate your push to the legs only, you use all muscles possible. It's a fantastic tools, weight doesn't matter when it comes to benefit.

I'd like to see the Sgt. even try to snatch a 24kg (53lb) kettlebell, i bet he'd kill himself. Yeah, but working out to look good still builds powerful muscles, aesthetics don't rule out strength or endurance. Besides, Rob Riches can deadlift 550lbs at only 190lbs, I'd say that's quite impressive and shows he has a strong core.
Here's the difference between bodybuilding and KB training. One takes hours to do so many body-parts and another takes a total of 10 to 15 mins or less. Which one do you want?
Bodybuilding: people basically lift for pain, tear their muscles so they can rebuild (repair) bigger. Bodybuilders work certain muscle groups at a time & sure, they grow big. But this doesn't really offer good overall strength.
Kettlebells: you don't feel pain, you feel stronger the more you work out. your muscle regions work together, which makes your body work as one unit basically, rather than using 1 muscle group.
what would be nice is to see someone on this show who was a genuine expert rather than a self proclaimed guru. Rob can't even do the Arnold pree effectively!!! as for him being a top pt he wouldn't get my money. the Nazi type guy from Canada is pure comedy, I like fattitude and ripitude tho nearly fell off my chair lol. The kettlebell guy is using a women kettlebell (and I think it's one of the lightests). If you're looking to buy one you should go with something heavier like 16kg (40lbs) if you wanna get into training.
Rob Riches has some excellent advice, I truly respect him. The kettlebell guy I'm skeptical of; some of his advice contradicted Riches' who is a pro bodybuilder.

I wonder if this guy would put up his numbers for the snatch test with the 24 kilo. That's the thing with kettlebells, the real exercises are so beneficial you don't need all of these gimmicks and weird movements he does. Real strength and endurance comes through hard work.

This Shanahan guy probably tried to get certified with real kettlebells but couldn't take the hard work so he just created his own bullshit program. You can see from his movements that the technique isn't right. Go to a real expert and not these fad-chasing losers.

And the kettlebell is known to develop strong trapezius muscles and thick necks, he has neither. But hey, if you like beach muscles then by all means follow his teachings.

There's a big difference between bodybuilding with weights and exercising with kettlebells. With Dumbels you isolate your upper arm, but Kettlebells incorporate many musclegroups at one time. with kettlebells you build functional strength. for instance, when you push your car out of a hole when it's stuck, you wont isolate your push to the legs only, you use all muscles possible. It's a fantastic tools, weight doesn't matter when it comes to benefit.

That guy is a joke! how heavy is that kettlebell, like 5 lbs? how can any man over the age of 6 expect to get a workout with that? I'd like to see the Sgt. even try to snatch a 24kg (53lb) kettlebell, i bet he'd kill himself. That Model Rob seemed to actually know a bit, but its still just working out to look good, and not to athleticly perform.

Yeah, but working out to look good still builds powerful muscles, aesthetics don't rule out strength or endurance. Besides, Rob Riches can deadlift 550lbs at only 190lbs, I'd say that's quite impressive and shows he has a strong core.

Here's the difference between bodybuilding and KB training. One takes hours to do so many body-parts and another takes a total of 10 to 15 mins or less. Which one do you want?

Bodybuilding: people basically lift for pain, tear their muscles so they can rebuild (repair) bigger. Bodybuilders work certain muscle groups at a time & sure, they grow big. But this doesn't really offer good overall strength.
Kettlebells: you don't feel pain, you feel stronger the more you work out. your muscle regions work together, which makes your body work as one unit basically, rather than using 1 muscle group.
Can't say how epic kettlebells are, but they own.

Rob can't even do the Arnold pree effectively!!! as for him being a top pt he wouldn't get my money. the Nazi type guy from Canada is pure comedy, I like fattitude and ripitude tho nearly fell off my chair lol. Gregory do yourself a favour and get some real pts on your show I can recommend some if you like. They wont be naked but they will give good honest advise and exercise tips

The kettlebell guy is using a women kettlebell (and I think it's one of the lightests). If you're looking to buy one you should go with something heavier like 16kg (40lbs) if you wanna get into training.

Rob Riches has some excellent advice, I truly respect him. The kettlebell guy I'm skeptical of; some of his advice contradicted Riches' who is a pro bodybuilder.
