fabulous...this has been one of the best dance companies in the world since it's inception, in 1936...first time I saw them was at the Hollywood Bowl in about 1957...I was very young, but the the excitement of the performance never left me. I've tried to see them everytime they are in the U.S. Don't miss the chance to see them!! They are still wonderful, even though the high water mark for talent in the company was in the 50s, 60s and 70s...

cool, I recall when we were on a short tour of Leningrad, some on the tour had wanted to see the Kirov Ballet...they were from San Francisco....but apparently the Kirov was performing in SF...I do not know if that was true but still a fun story.

From Moscow - a city-feast, in Siberia or the same people do not drink or rare, because nature is harsh and there should always work. And the work is incompatible with alcohol.

Yes, the quilt showed an african art type figure, so she had vagina open, just like in much primitive art. So they have originally black university in same city, are they and all museums to throw out all african, and other primitive art so two tea baggers wont be offended. Of course they wish they could.

The other channels are full of TV Shows like dancing with the Stars, Singing with the Starts and so on. Just like in American TV.

@darkusmistress This is a terrible mistake. If you have something you do not know, ask. We have as well as you dance in the streets and programs such as dancing with the stars, but it's all the commercial stuff, and this program is assembled from the dances of the peoples of the world. If you are traveling and of course you know how big the world and has an idea what the folk dances.

@Elerianna Thank you for your comments. Folk dances embody the spirit of a people, yes. What Moiseyev has done is to elevate them to a high art form, because his dance troupe has such superb technique and training. It's what Haydn, Tchaikovsky, Bartok, and many other composers also did. They borrowed or used folk tunes, and by their command of musical form, regional folk tunes were transformed into art of a different level, length, and complexity.
