I have coinmaster for a year now. having trouble finding silver. but hav e found alot! of old relics, very good depth. the pinpointer is right on. just takes some time getting use to. i try t change batteries very often, thats a big part if ur not finding deep targets. But adivse would be buy a pinpointer. makes a 100% diffrerence. i bought a cheap one a harbor freight 16$ not very much depth but helps a ton..
I've been working mainly the beach. I don't have much trouble finding the target, but I probably should pay more attention to the discriminator so I don't dig as much junk. At the beach I've been finding mostly recent coins. I hear you will find more old ones at old homesteads or old foundations or abandoned villages. Good luck.
I just bought a Coinmaster and from the looks of it yours is kinda sporadic like mine. I tested it out in my grandparents lawn, and mind you my grandpa is one of those scrap haulers, so I kinda figured I'd be gettin a lot of trash but I couldn't hardly find most of the stuff it was reading. I don't know if I'm workin it wrong or what. Also, I was wondering if you ever find those really old coins more on beaches or in dirt. I want to find jewelry but I really like old coins. Got any pointers?
@dublecc24 I think it is great. The price is right and I am finding a lot of coins and some jewelry as well as other items with it. Mostly at the beach. I guess one of the challenges is finding a place to hunt. But I'm haveing a great time with it. The built in pinpointer and dicriminator, type ID and adjustable sensitivity are all very helpful.
