  • whats the mask gonna do anyway?

  • 2:40 he's coming to my school to speak on saturday :D

  • Is a country legally responsible for the radiation caused health damage in other countries, when a reactor explodes? Of course when you are dead it may not matter to you.....

  • Primarily, It could wipe out peoples' health and their lives in the future, and cause lots of suffer not only for us, but for the next generations. Economy, politics, power, money whatever you call it. The more nuclear power plants we build, the more stable our economy, of course...

It's been forgotten, that we are so defenceless against any nuclear disaster. You can't take the money with you, when you die.

  • you can kiss hundreds, if not some thousands of square miles good bye. Just take some D-11's and start pushing about 4" of top soil towards Fuku:. bury it, put concrete over that and place solar cells over the concrete. There will be at least 400 sqmi of solar cells and you'll get something for your buck. If you think solar cells are ugly look at what you have now.

  • mmmmm gama radiation . great for breakfast! helps bring the population down.Kaku has a hard time being legal ......good dude / thanks for your post ...sorry it took me so long to find this. Be active ....be Real!

  • How come this has been put out of sight in the media in America? Now all I hear about is Syria. I am sickened. This is the real threat we need to worry about and it is shut out in the media. Just sickening!

  • What can go wrogn?

  • See, we can trust corporations to ensure our safety.

  • This is so sad :(

  • 50 000 people uses to live here, now it's a ghost town.

  • Nuclear power could be so much safer if they built more stable thorium reactors instead of uranium, rather than using 40 year old plants with known safety hazards and design flaws. Thorium reactors wont replace traditional reactors because they can be used to make nuclear weapons. As long as we have countries like Iran and north korea trying to get them it will never happen. The whole concept of splitting the atom was developed with the intent of killing people and destroying things.

  • REALITY HURTS! AIN'T A DREAM.

  • @truthnlies2 Have you been to Daichi? If I'm wrong then explain why there hasn't been a single confirmed death at Fukushima?

  • @SnugglePuma I'll explain: Any deaths REPORTED IN MAIN STREAM MEDIA will be because of "stress" or any other illness, not because of radiation. It is a worldwide media COVERUP. Welcome to 2012. Inside Japan, it is even worse: No one is talking about radiation or evacuation. The corporations that profit from the nuclear powerplants are the SAME as those that control the media. Shining example: General Electric. Tepco is Yakuza. Japanes gov is Jakuza. Read Enenews and ES-SFK blogs.

  • @reptilespantoso I've heard people make similar outlandish claims about disasters in the past. By the time it becomes obvious that they were wrong, everyone has already forgotten. It's kind of infuriating that you won't remember any of this years from now. Already in Japan people are forgetting. They don't care about the radiation or choose to ignore it, life goes on, bitch...

  • Thank god there was no such thing as the internet when Chernobyl exploded. I can't even fathom the kinds of bitching and conspiracy theory nonesense that people would be engaged in on the internet when something as bad as Chernobyl happened...

  • @SnugglePuma you are suffering from a condition called "normalcy bias". It means that you project the recent past onto the near future. NO LIFE WILL NOT GO ON YOU DUMBASS. As far as Chernobyl, they covered up the MILLION DEATHS. (publication Nablokov) They covered up the transgenic damage (no more healthy babies). Go to Belarus and say to them it's nonsense! But I bet you're too frightened for that. If you have any guts, listen to this VERY CAREFULLY: /watch?v=vwYDPUszF4s

    WAKE UP!!

  • @reptilespantoso Actually, I was making the point that Chernobyl was a horrific disaster and this Fukushima disaster pales in comparison. There are a lot of crazy people here that think Fukushima will be the end of the world, but how can that be the case when Chernobyl was hundreds of times worse and yet life goes on!

  • "leading nuclear scientist Dr. Michio Kaku" - actually, he is a theoretical physicist.

  • the us for not willing to participate on reducing their 25% part of all the worlds co2. or japan who was unlucky to have an acident at their co2 natural power plant?

who are the victims of global warming? not the us, its the countrys who allready have problems, africa, soth america and some parts of asia. so before u guys start paniking just know that u are not alone, the rest of the world is paniking about your habits and blindness.

Global warming is not an acident, we can help reduce it.

  • my point is, buy using nuclear power japan is already trying to reduce global warming. japan is also a player in the international climate debate. well if theres an acident at nuclear powerplant theres nothing you really can do to stop the radiation if its allready leaked. on the other side bu not willing to participate on international ''deals'' about reducing the global CO2 level there is something you can do but you dont want. so who is worse?

  • well lets take our eyes off japan and A power. you americans must not forget to se the other side of this problem. while u guys are complaining/fearing & not trusting the japanese goverment and claiming that they are not telling the truth you forget the problems that you give the world.. lets talk about global warming. basicly the qonsiquences of global warming are as threatning as radioactive-leak. face it in both cases humans way of life is thretened. so wich one is better.

  • Still with all this information we still teeter on the edge of nuclear war.

  • One sure sign of fear-mongering, tabloid journalism:

Repeated use of the term "shocking". (I counted at least 3 instances in this video.)

  • Schools and surrounding areas located 60 km (38 miles) from Japan’s tsunami-hit nuclear power plant are unsafe for children, showing radiation readings as much as 70 times internationally accepted levels... c'mon who's telling lies???????????

  • Their acting like they were going to live forever...as far as I know it's the only constant. You can avoid a lot of things...death however is NOT one of them as the ratio is ONE TO ONE.

  • The Japanese government is seriously downplaying the real amount of radioactive substances that leaked from Fukushima. Radioactive emissions from the crippled nuclear power plant may be five times higher than the numbers released by the authorities

  • this is a world wide event,,,and no accident,,,,,thanks Rothschild's and the like. you will pay

  • All this when the sun is sitting right there? Give me a break. Let's beat these energy guzzlers at their own game. Join with your neighbours, your street, your wider community to bulk-buy discount solar. Get off the grid. Fuck them. They don't deserve our money if this is what they do with it.

  • asians have absolutely no commons sense. Thanks alot for not considering the fact that your building a god damn bomb on a tiny little island.... they take no consideration toward natural desasters... thanks alot you fucking idiots... they should not be allowe3d to harness nuclear energy anymore. under penalty of death.... Wer are talking a huge biomass in the ocean is going to die... and a shitload of people... sweet. thanks ling chung.... your awsome and your smart too.....

  • If they divide all the electricity produced by these 6 molten down plants into the cost of the plant+fuel+electricty previously billed+damage so far+damage for next 100 years+insurance+contamination now and in the next 100 years+ cost of labor so far and 100 years out, they will get the true cost per kilowatt for 130 years. Was it worth it?

  • @blkcolas - yours is probably one of the first comments that makes sense since my original comment :0)

  • cars were neatly in parking lot, and no sand or mud, thus tsunami had no effect... meltdown was caused by computer virus "stuxnet" which infected seimens cooling controls. this was a DELIBERATE CONSPIRACY. DO YOUR HOMEWORK before you start hurling the tin foil hat garbage....

  • I agree manekinekotattoo! But they won't, the US already has plans for 6 more and Japan TWO more! After all this! It's ALL ABOUT THE MONEY! I know ppl. that were exposed to Cesium 137 in the 50s in Utah bomb tests, near Ogden, and they are essentially mentally disabled (they drank milk from cows who ate contaminated grass). This makes Hiroshima and Nagasaki look like a firecracker.

  • that dr guy looks like jimmy paige from led zeppelin

  • Build the reactors underground FFS! What is wrong with you engineers?

  • Three out of six nuclear reactors still in meltdown. What is going to happen to ocean, where is radiation headed to? When it rains is the rain contaminated with harmful Fukushima radiation?.Have the crops, or people in the bread basket of America been affected,or warned on news, about this dangerous radiation.I hope Fukushima was not a man made HAARP accident. Is the milk and cheese still showing signs of radiation.Have expecting woman, and children being warned about food contamination in USA?So sad

  • @ChemtrailKansas Unfortuneately yes the rain has radiation, radiation levels have been found in milk in USA, everyday it spews more and more radiation. The ocean is polluted with it now, there is a guy who lives in Japan- he has a diary online where he writes about what's really going on and how officials are hiding the true scope of the disaster. fukushima-diary d o t c o m

  • @1111rhn Of course radiation is detected from milk, it's naturally radioactive. Same with bananas and several other foods we eat.

  • no ppl on earth deserve this much suffering through No fault of their own God may help them

  • Human civilization is TOAST. Fossil fuels are running out and now there will be no "nuclear renaissance", due to Fuck-oshima.

Solar/wind are feeble resources which can never replace fossil fuels. Nuclear fission is civilization's only chance, and we've chosen to shitcan that chance.

My advice to anyone reading this? Buy a fucking gun and several thousand rounds of ammo (because when things get really bad, gangs or government might try to put you in a slave camp, forcing you to crank generators.)

  • @bjggjb They have found several species of marine life that are the only forms of life that do not require the heat or light from the sun to survive. They produce, and contain and distribute energy independantly, and no one knows how or why. The sad thing is that they are so deep under the surface of the ocean that it is impossible to bring them to the surface due to massive changes in pressure. I see your point, and yes, our mindset as a species is very disconnected..

  • @bjggjb why cant solar/wind/wave resources replace fossil fuels? that must be in your part of the world, and is that because you are tooo much addicted to fossil fuels that you are willing to invade countries to control it?

well thank god that there anit going to be anny ''nuclear renaissance'' for think that accidents cant happen at american plants?

  • @samtheturntablist green energy..cant support 7 billion..ppl

  • @bjggjb My advice to anyone reading this? Buy a fucking gun and several thousand rounds of ammo (because when things get really bad, gangs or government might try to put you in a slave camp, forcing you to crank generators.)

is that your goverment you are talking about? you have allready shown that you are capable of holding slaves (black history) and making your own rules (guantanamo)?

  • @samtheturntablist This isn't an issue of skin color, you dope.

If society collapses due to energy shortages - there will still be power-happy people who want electricity/running water even though there's no more oil/coal/gas to produce it. How do you think these power-happy people will GET their electricity/running water? By voodoo, or the electricity fairy?

Naw. They'll just force VULNERABLE PEOPLE to provide the energy (whether they're black, white, or polka-dotted.)

  • @bjggjb

    Geothermal, Solar, Wave, Wind, Fusion.

Anyway Michio Kaku a great man.

    ___

    "22,000 AD

The Chernobyl disaster site becomes fully safe"

  • @TheNotoriousJesus 22,000 AD:

Human population worldwide... approximately 50,000 (mostly around the North Pole, eking out a Stone Age existence.)

Why? Because geothermal, solar, wave, and wind power were too feeble and unreliable, and humanity turned to COAL as a result of sensational fear-mongering which made people afraid of nuclear fission. And the world became a scorching desert due to climate change.

Fusion? It will probably never work (it's always just "20 years away!")

  • @bjggjb

You must be kiddin? Coal/Oil is running out ;) Peak Coal is coming within 30 years.

Geothermal, Solar, Wave will of course work, your assumptions are backed up by nothing. What else do you suggest? Just keep draining on non renewable sources? Nuclear is great an all but has plenty of side effects.

  • @TheNotoriousJesus You didn't understand my post.

Google "James Lovelock+climate change". The coal we use over the next 30 or so years may well push climate change past a point of no return, with accelerating temperature increases, disruption of world weather patterns, and most of the world becoming uninhabitable by 2100.

That 22,000 AD picture I described was of a world where humanity had long forgotten that Earth was ever anything but a Stone Age hell.

    It could well happen.

  • What I don't get is why is it I saw not one film of any buildings shaking in Tokyo at all. For this "9.0 earthquake" that was supposed to have hit. Did any one see any news footage of that?.............AT ALL???

  • You know what, I think that Big Pharma is involved with supporting nukes. radiation causes cancer and other diseases, and then we get sick and Big Pharma makes money off us because we need to buy their band aide drugs.

  • I am a Constitutional Conservative and even I know nukes are bad news. The reason why I point out where my political leans lie is because when you say you are a Conservative people usually think u r supportive of nukes.

  • @DizziNY1 What's your alternative to nuclear fission then? I'm curious, because as a "constitutional conservative" I'm pretty sure you don't believe in Atlantean Crystal Power, or Ancient Tibetan Harmonic Chanting Power, or that wise benevolent UFO aliens will come to our rescue. (And I'm guessing you already know the skinny on wind/solar (too low an energy return on energy invested, aka EROEI.)

P.S. PLEASE, PLEASE PLEASE don't say "cold fusion"!

  • @bjggjb coal !

  • @DeviousBetrayer Coal, eh? Well, here's hoping it's YOU and not me whose home gets pillaged (and possibly gets murdered when you try to interfere) by the hordes of desperate Mexicans and Central Americans who will be migrating northward as global warming causes everything south of Colorado to become basically uninhabitable.

  • good job science! atheism is the way to go! it brings peace and technology that has really helped civilization! hahaha not. i pray for us all.

  • why cant they send a marinefleet and help that country ? and for 1 time without shooting the whole place appart?? because the words freedom and democraty are words with a bad taste these days....when is the last time we did something usefull ???

  • 5 million people in a living hell. These reactors need shutting down.

  • japan is a waste land now !

all of it is not safe forever

  • @danworthj - hey dumbass...I have a very nice and large garden here in Japan, and we grow our own vegetables, because unlike your fucked up country, it's not illegal to do so! A million years before we can grow food? Gee, I guess they should have waited to reform Hiroshima and Nagasaki huh? I'm the devil? Man, you have serious issues!!

ps) Next time, before you post - get a clue, asshole.

  • The Japanese Gov. is TRYING to hold on to they're people & economic stability. They will LIE over & over again to keep some resemblance of normality.Japan has been split in two.No one will be able to farm or live in east/central Japan for generations. Thousands of Families will deal with mutation & cancers for almost a century. I am so sad for the future of those families.

  • I work as a programmer and it shocks me that the intelligent people in my workplace don't see a problem with what has happened and think that more nuclear plants should be built. Is this some kind of collective psychosis where we actually want death and destruction? We need to do some inner work. Everything in the world is wrong at the moment and we can't sit around and let psychopaths create more of these world destroying facilities.

  • I'm not Japanese, and I find it very pathetic and sad that when faced with facts your first recourse is to lower yourself to such race-based attacks.

It speaks volumes of your character and true motivations.

Pointing out that you have no clue what you're talking about isn't an insult.

It's a fact which undercuts all your poorly made suppositions.

And now we have further evidence of your ignorance. You know racism is born out of such things.

  • milk is fukued

  • And as we're straddling from one deal to the next, who's got his eye on the planet, as the air thickens, the water sours, and even the bees' honey takes on the metallic taste of radioactivity? And it just keeps coming, faster and faster. There's no chance to think, to prepare; it's buy futures, sell futures, when there is no future.

  • Who needs nature, or earth when you got money. Gaia is fighting back as we can see. The only people left in this future whirled will be people who are connected with gaia. Why do people give that shill Maku Kaku or what ever his name is credibility. He is another corporate suck whole. Freak!

  • By the way, the radiation did not stay in Japan. It's all over the world, especially north america, but it's in the oceans, our rain and drinking water, given that they're the same.

  • It takes a psychopath or a monster to say a tsunami caused a fire.

  • TEPCO officials should be burned at the stake. This shit is in our food chain, our air and our water... they should be tried for the murders to come

  • BRAVE REPORTER.SHIT

  • Great masks! Yeah, that will work to keep out Gamma radiation, NOT.

  • Please read the Book of Revelation 6 - 14, because everything has been prophesied for almost 2000 years in this super prophetic book. RFID Chip = mark of the beast, HAARP = the embodiment of the dragon, New World Order = the wild beast, the Illuminati = the anti Christ system. 666 just means it's man made according to the Greek via scripture 4 all . org Mathew 24 says that this Gospel of the Kingdom shall be being preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations, then the END shall come

  • in 6min of sun light can power the usa for a year solar power!

  • @iluvrocknrap

now go find 100% efficient solar panels...

  • @bobthechipmonk I just need some money from those world bankers then ill buy a bunch!

  • @iluvrocknrap

you have to find the tech first...

right now we only have 30% efficient.

  • @bobthechipmonk LOL! Where to find efficient solar panels? You'll find them in the same place as the Wonkaberries, Tesla Death Rays, fairy dust, suppressed cold fusion machines, and Ancient Egyptian Pyramid Power generators.

BTW, it takes FOSSIL FUELS to mine, extract, and refine the massive amounts of rare-earth metals needed to make solar panels, for what that's worth to you.

  • @bjggjb

You still can't have 100% efficient solar panels...........

    Get educated.

  • it could also take Solar energy to make solar panels. depends what you want to use.

  • @iluvrocknrap, is that so? and you'll get the metals to do the panels from...?

  • @iluvrocknrap In theory only, as we don't the capacity to collect it. And at the current level of technology we don't have the area to build it. And while it sounds "green" the manufacturing process for solar cells is not, it's no where near the nuclear levels but it's not "clean & green".

  • Ahh Michio Kaku.

    Discovery Channel one-stop-shop scientist extraordinaire.

His only contribution to science being string theory -- itself a step backwards to make math into a form of religion.

The media loves him because he's always worth a few sound bites.

I think he'll say anything to get screen time, like a dog doing tricks for rewards and approval -- even if said approval is based entirely in ignorance, like the rabid anti-nuclear power crowd here.

  • yeah!! and you surely must be an astrophicist or a nuclear scientist or at least i bet you went to harvard or yale or princeston or some other prestigioust university right ,or maybe he's got some mind control power to convince the media tv mogools he is worth of listening and attention, but im sure you too have that skill and qualification rigth!!! ..

  • @nic2011usa

Astrophysicists don't know anything about nuclear energy either. Michio Kaku's credentials have nothing to do with Nuclear Physics. That's a fact.

A prestigious University like Princeton doesn't mean anything either, but thank you for proving that you are as ignorant as I've said you are.

Kaku is what we call a Soundbite Scientist. The media doesn't need convincing, they're only slightly more intelligent than you. They only care about soundbites that let them script the "news".

  • @Kujirakira im guessing you must be japanese since you dare to insult me first here is my turn.

you been japanes how does it feel to be of the same race responsible for the two major fucked up disaster ever befall on the human race .first you were strucked TWICE with the most powerfull weapon ever created by intelligent life .and then the earthquake and now the fucking nuclear plant explosion ,

  • which is now radiating more radioactive material than the chernobyl ,the 3 mile island and any other nuclear desaster or bomb put together. i want you to look at the dying from the fallout, i want you to see the deformed fetus of unborn babies , and the sicked childrens with leukimia and other horrible desease and take a good look in the mirror and say to yourself "someone who look just like me of the same race who is from my country who speak the same language did this is..

  • About a minute into the video the guy with the gadgets detects harmful levels of radiation... at 1 minute 55 seconds into the video, they're still there. Mm Ok.

  • How amazing that 25 years after Chernobyl the "Radiation zone is still 30 KMs and it is only 20 km in Japan. Yet Japan is even more epic in preportion. And most of the populace is focused on their own little crumbling world..

  • liz Hayes , just speak those first few words about yourself. i never heard anyone say or think the worst was over ~~

  • its the asian version of Bill Maher! except not annoying.

  • lol they are exagerating about the world getting contaminated.....,the world was indeed contaminated but the contamination level is still so close to the normal level that it makes no difference in the whole world outside 40km of the plant.

  • @GhostAholics I think you need to check your facts on that one, even tepco who lie "to prevent panic" have admitted that the radiation is outside of the 20 km in Japan, and govt, scientists and citizens in north america have found it here. Denial is a dangerous coping mechanism.

  • @manekinekotattoo sure! radiation is outside the 20 km zone! we take radioactive material from the naure and bring it in our power plants. that should tell you that radiation is everywhere! there are about 40000 radioactive disintegrations per second in your body and if you take a geiger-counter you will realize that you will always and everywhere hear that strange ticking noise!

  • @manekinekotattoo - denial? I live here pal! TEPCO is one of the biggest and corrupted government owned organizations here in Japan! The nuclear radiation you think you are finding in the USA is from ....THE USA!!! When one of your own nuclear facilities leaked shortly after the Japan event, you heard virtually nothing on the news!! And when Seven Mile Island leaked massive amounts of radiation, it didn't affect Europe at ALL! The media is full of shite!

  • @manekinekotattoo

If the world and its people has been contaminated by Fukushima and Chernobyl, then the world must decide in a referendum, not only the nuclear countries, whether we shd have nuclear facilities. Europe has abandoned nuclear, the world must do so now! kk

  • @manekinekotattoo - I don't need to check shit pal! I live here and the reality is NOTHING like the media is portraying!! I bet none of them have shown you in the US that locals are being allowed to move back into the nearby areas after the ground and waterways were checked for radiation? The levels were only marginally higher than pre-quake! If you're American and dumb enough to believe the crap your media tells you, then you have no place commenting on things you don't know the truth about!!

  • I'll add further, again, due to the huge ignorance of a large majority of Americans who are actually dumb enough to believe what their media tells them, that the radiation did not and could not, reach your shores. Did it ever reach shores when you were happily blowing up nukes in the Pacific? No. Did it reach American shores when your government cowardly dropped 2 nukes on Japan in 1945? No. Did it reach the UK when 7 Mile went up? No. So STFU and get a clue!!

  • @GhostAholics

its funny that u can compare the 2 bombs from the USA and there very!! small!!! nuclear disaster.

maybe u must get the clue that a reactor like fukushima holds thousands of tons of radioactive material . not 5 kg like the bomb from Hiroshima! enjoy your future. in japan.

did u ever ever ever saw the documentary :The Children Of Chernobyl? soon there will be a movie called The Children Of Japan. and after that the children of the earth.

  • @GhostAholics --it looks like the mind-conrol propaganda is working. I feel for you.

  • @GhostAholics you are definitly right! we have a special word for that in germany. it is called "hirnschmelze" and it means "brainmelting" to summarise the process that was started by the media to get more and more attention. the lady in the video knows nothing about radiation of any kind but the people only need a little device that makes strange sounds to convince them of the upcoming apocalypse. donte give up fellow :)

  • @GhostAholics

get a clue! shill! you need an award for dumbest thing ever writen.

  • @GhostAholics You're gonna get cancer dude.....You can google it... People all over Japan are taking their own readings of the radiation... For Christ Sake its even available on Facebook...... Why would Japan tell you, you're going to get sick and die, they need you to be calm so you will stay and work and keep the economy going.... If you equate love and caring with your Government, you'll be the first to go.....

  • @openmindedozzie - hmmm...okay...we already bought a giga counter and absolutely ZERO radiation in the western part of Japan. Seriously, I'm not concerned by the crap you gullible souls believe from the shit the media is pouring down your throat.

  • @GhostAholics well just to let you know everytime it rains in Canada, we get huge amounts of radiation, measurable, each and every time.

  • @getagripcanada - maybe so, but it ain't from Japan! You heard virtually nothing of the nuclear radiation leak that occurred recently in one of the US States.

I've heard all kinds of shit about the radiation from Japan affecting cities like Pittsburgh, but not others, killing unborn babies but not making mothers sick, to 20 million tonnes of radioactive debris floating towards Hawaii. Anyone who believes the mainstream media deserves to be duped!!

  • @GhostAholics it comes in on something called the "wind" from JAPAN then if falls in something we like to call "rain" which then hits us in the head as we walk around in it. Then this winter we get something called "snow" that also falls on our heads, but has one unique characteristic, it doesn't go away for months. Cool eh? We will be surrounded by radioactive snow for months......can't wait.

  • Hello

  • They had to stop 20 kilometers away, holy shit. Chernobyl is no where near that bad.

  • we're fucked..

  • First of all, radiating mean emitting. Fukushima is not emitting people. It's irradiating people. Second, sorry to be a pain in the ass but I couldn't help myself. Great upload by the way. It's so important that people see this. Many think that the tragedy is over when really it's only just begun. The world must not be allowed to forget what is happening in Japan. Who are the next guinea pigs?

  • WOW fallout 3 right there

  • store up on bottle caps and nuka cola quantom yo

  • Why Is this reporter not in a protective suit?

  • @MsJster7 "Why Is this reporter not in a protective suit?"

Because she's an Aussie reporter, mate.

We come from a country that contains every single one of the planet's top 10 deadliest snakes. You think we're scared of a little radiation?

Godzilla himself could have appeared in the background shooting radioactive beams from his eyes and battering down skyscrapers while she was doing her piece to camera and she wouldn't have missed a beat.

In fact, she'd probably have wrestled him to the ground.

  • Why are there English subtitles when the spokesperson is speaking English?

  • The comments amaze me on how uneducated people are this report is true radiation is nothing to play with and man has gotten themselfes in big trouble with these plants. Not realizing that the earth has control of us an earthquake can take these plants down in seconds and leave the radiation out there for us to die. Humans think they have so much power over the earth the earth owns you. Good report and the stupid comments only shows why we are in this mess.

  • "here mate wear this particle mask, it will make you feel better while having no effect on radiation poisoning whatsoever, enjoy"

  • Solar power. Enough said.

  • @blackyblackblack505 They're about 5 times more expensive than coal, less reliable, less energy dense, less power dense, and etc..

Solar can't win against coal, and it is completely useless by itself in terms of constant supply. Same with wind. They're pet projects fossil fuel companies use in order to justify building extremely polluting fast-throttle gas and coal plants, justification being to use the plants as "backup" for the rapid and unstable changes in power output from wind/solar farms.

  • @blackyblackblack505 I'm not saying build more Pressurized water reactors, those are very OLD reactors. Even the guy that patented them in the 50s, Alvin Weinberg, confessed they were far from perfect. He then went off to design a better reactor that couldn't melt down and consumed all of its nuclear fuel, and even consumed radioactive wastes, to produce immense amounts of electricity at far lower prices than coal. He even built this reactor to prove it, the LFTR, and it ran flawlessly for years

  • Was it really necessary for ANY of those people to risk their lives by actually going to Chernobyl just for the sake this report?

  • @Phonehed Chernobyl is mostly radiocaesium, an alpha emitter. You need to eat it to suffer any radiation poisoning. You can technically live in some of the irradiated sites, just don't eat any food grown on irradiated soil.

Now, if they'd have gone inside the sarcophagus, they would have died. But why would you go inside a destroyed reactor?

  • The book "Fukushima 3/11 & Japan's Government. WHY IT SUCKS" also discloses what actually happened there, and is happening at the moment. Its on amazon.

  • And we are STILL BUILDING NUCLEAR Plants....I just don't understand...I don't understand. So sad that we feel like we can control it. Maybe....but as we have seen...that once it gets out of control....it is uncontrollable.....

  • People from Fukushima Prefecture hope for support from abroad. Their plight and concerns of the local authorities are often not recognized.

City partnerships with citizens in Fukushima could help them, please see:

S.O.S. From Fukushima Japan Locals- Our Children Are Trapped In RADIATION! Mirror THIS!

SOS Again from Minamisoma, Fukushima w w w keepvid com

  • This report is completely wrong and useless. I stopped watching the minute I noticed what looked like Pripyat's carnival, I knew where it was going.

For the record, Fukushima has yet to kill a single person through radiation. Chernobyl killed thousands within the first months.

  • @OfficeThug you watch too much mainstream news media.... :P

  • @ToxicDreamer The media is typically unreliable and shitty, except Al Jazeera for middle east coverage. And for the record, I don't have cable.

  • DEMAND MORE MONEY FOR FUKUSHIMA REPAIRS NOW!

TEPCO tells that radiation spreading can be ceased not sooner than in TEN(!) years. Can it be done sooner? Is Japan poor country or what?

Japan must MOVE MORE MONEY INTO FUKUSHIMA reactors and more for R&D to stop radiant pollutions.

  • @digicho Good news is radiation coming from the plant is now at less than 10 millionths what it was back in March, it's very much under control. Cleanup of high radiation sites (the 15 out of 50 sites that read over 100 mSv/yr) will be necessary to allow living conditions, and lower radiation sites are safe enough to live in. Farming in low radiation sites will require special soil cleanup to make produce safe, but that's also cheap.

R&D is good. The more recent plants on site survived this.

  • @OfficeThug that could be bad news, "he plant is now at less than 10 millionths what it was back in March" probably because the nuclear reactors released most of their nuclear radiation and don't have a lot left

  • @ToxicDreamer No way, most of the radiation was emanating from the spent fuel ponds, and there is a LOT of spent fuel on the Fukushima sites. Radioiodine and radiocaesium are being created as the spent fuel decays, and these happen to be very easily incorporable into the environment and in our bodies which is why they're very bad. Radioiodine decays very quickly, fortunately, so to avoid its dangers you just need to stay away from contaminated areas for a bit. Radiocaesium is a lasting problem.

  • @OfficeThug i think the situation could be a lot worse than what you think it is, it takes 10-30 years to get cancer from the nuclear radiation but fukushima could be emitting enough nuclear radiation to give millions of people cancer, the nuclear particles get carried by the wind and come down when it rains, and China Syndrome is happening so i don't think the situation is under control at all. i mean if you live in Japan you might feel good now but that can change given enough time.

  • @ToxicDreamer The immediate areas nearer the source will be badly irradiated, but the general rule about radiation is the more spread out/shielded it is, the less harmful it is compared to the source. Radionuclides also have a biological half life in addition to their normal half lives, which means radionuclides that only harm when ingested need to be ingested constantly and over a long period of time/at high dosage before diseases can start to develop.

  • @OfficeThug Curious this radiation is not harmful to humans or animals? They are just leaving animals die because of radiation on there land they can't go back and get there animals? My friend had cancer so they decided to experiment using only radiation to kill it the gave her to much. Radiation today she has a urine bag, bladder just came apart. Bowl bag all her insides were burned by the radiation. She just not lost a leg due to radiation.

  • @diane189444 I'm sorry for your friend, but atleast he/she's alive. If they didn't have radiation therapy, the cancer would have taken her. Chemotherapy only goes so far until they have to use radiotherapy.

  • @ToxicDreamer Another funny thing, you mention radioactive rain. That radiation is a natural product, not an artificial one. Radon is probably the most common (and deadliest) naturally ocurring radionuclide we encounter. It's a gas and tends to rise up with vapor. What people are measuring in the rain is almost exclusively Radon's decay products

Some places on earth, like Iran, have absurdly high levels of radon radiation that make evacuation sites near Fukushima look pretty silly in comparison

  • @OfficeThug "very much under control"? do you work for the nuclear power industry, the government, a PR firm working on behalf of the nuclear power industry, or are you just a moron?

  • @digitruth No, I read the reports, unlike you apparently.

  • Ukraine was in the middle, Japan right, USA remains in the left, then the world will really suffer! hopefully it won't happen again.

  • thanks stupidass japanese government.. you infected us all. probably on purpose

  • Consider this: Baton Rouge has a very high cancer rate due to fall out from its Petro Chem/Exxon plant..combine those toxins with fallout from Fukushima, BR's cancer rate will ROCKET..TRUE TESTIMONY: the other day a front from the northwest made its way to New Orleans and I developed 2 very strange *canker* sores in my mouth.

These were NOT from stress or food, but 100% certain from Fuku's fallout.

Cancer rates in the northwest/Canada will ROCKET in comming yrs.

    Reality the gov hides

  • STOP NUCLEAR ENERGY! IT'S TOO RISKY TO HUMAN LIFE!

Oh yeah, never mind it's part of the plan to depopulate the earth, right?

  • "The planet isn't going anywhere. WE ARE! WERE GOING AWAY. Pack your shit folks, were going away."

George Carlin - Saving the planet.

  • The end of Japans world basically. Sad.

That lady reporter is crazy. She is standing in a highly radioactive area. Is she gonna get sick now?

  • 5:40 HE SEEMS FAIRLY CONFIDENT OF THE EXPERIMENT!

  • Hey Stupid, maybe it's for the deaf. Why would anyone ask such a stupid question?

  • Leuren Moret, a geoscientist who has worked worldwide on radiation issues, spoke about high levels of radiation from Fukushima, Japan in the atmosphere.

The world and oceans have also been highly contaminated with this radiation.

Leuren stated that when radiation mixes with rain it soaks (contaminates) the land, water and people with radiation.

See Japan Tsunami Fukushima Nuclear Disaster 1/2 and 2/2 with Leuren Moret

  • The United States used depleted uranium and uranium 236 in its bombs in both wars in Iraq.

Nato used depleted uranium in bombs used on Libya.

"After 2003, I expected an increase in the number cases of cancer in Baghdad, most of the cause is exposure to heavy bombing with this war. And most of the congenital malformation for the babies, they are born without heads, without limbs and without noses and without eyes." -Dr Janan Hassan, Mother-Child Hospital

  • "When uranium combusts, it breaks down into particles small enough to get into every part of the body not just the lymphocytes but also the brain, liver, sperm, egg cells...And because they have damaged chromosomes, of course they are likely to produce genetically damaged offspring themselves, as well the next generation after them." -Professor Albrecht Schott MD, Chemist speaking about Gulf War victims of depleted uranium weapons
