  • I dedicate this song to our romanian dictatorial president... Basescu (which is far worst than Ceausescu was before). When we, the people, we'll catch you, we'll hang upside down, like italians did to Mussolini, together with your mistress Udrea and your dwarf toy, the so called "prime minister", Boc! If you are romanian, thumbs up! Down with dictatorship! Freedom for Romania!

  • I'm not able to put a link in this comment, but... I've been working on a track that is partially inspired by this song. It's still very much a work in progress. I have yet to add vocals or even finish the instrumental, but there's enough there for potential listening pleasure. The track is called "Be Afraid" and you can find it on Soundcloud under the artist name "Tapes Tree". Free downloads all the time.

  • Its like, You put on Pentagram and everything else is just waste...

This ranks over Sabbath, and, mind You, I sold my fkn soul to RnR.

  • Awesomest song ever ! ! ! !

  • God send me here, to show me how awesome Pentagram is...

  • Great song!!

  • I will see them live today. Fuck I´m excited!

  • Thanks to watching Richie jacksons beastly psy funk skating :)

  • I give this song a ; Hell fuckin' yeah!!!!!

  • Wow! I didn't know that the Original of the Songs sounded this great, I love the version of the Fuzztones, but this one is even better!!

  • pentagram has intelligent lyrics

  • @jeffvoyd I dont see the intelligent lyrics here, however i love this song.

  • @jeffvoyd

    boohooo q___q cry more

  • @kruxy huh?

  • Everyone recognized the Pink Floyd Diss in this?

  • @zawzero why would you think its a "diss"? i think its more of a reference because theyre both really stoner bands. he didnt make fun of them at all.

  • @zawzero

Dark Side of The Moon came out in March of 1973. This is obviously not a "diss" on Pink Floyd because Be Forewarned was from 1972... You should learn your music.

  • @thrasher848 Thank you for setting that straight, i saw that comment and my fist stopped short of my monitor.

  • Kinda bummed they didnt play this one live yesterday at MR Smalls, such a fuckin heavy track.

  • What a kick ass song. I just discovered these guys, better late than never.

  • This song is extremely revolutionary for 1972. Where in the world would i think a band playing Doom Metal in 1972? In the times of Beatles, Jimmy Hendrix and Led Zeppelin?

  • @antomnium

    Sabbath?

  • @antomnium Sabbath would be doing so.

  • The most interesting thing from is than the metal bands play sounds far, far ahead your time. Like all the geniuses ahead his time, people whom play metal are considered outcast from society. Maybe for your extreme realism to deal with social themes, and, we need to agree, most people in the world are too alienated to care with social issues. The most common thing they do is to discriminate and outcast intelligent people.

  • I bet my balls that guys of "System of a Down" have heard this album!

Aposto minhas bolas que os caras do SOD já ouviram este álbum!

Apuesto mis pelotas que los chicos del SOD han escuchado este disco!

  • @LeloMigueis da ond cê tirou system of a down, mano? kkkkkk' nda ve com pentagram.

  • Such Hawks, Such Hounds sent me here.

  • I'm speechless. This is incredibly dark and heavy, yet so groovy.

The band is also totally distinct from Sabbath and Zeppelin so please stop comparing. Sabbath and Zep aren't the be-all-end-all you know...

  • @ExtremeBogom The voice has clearly Led Zep influences...

Yet it doesn't diminish Pentagram's talent to compare them to Sabbath or Led Zeppelin...

  • I cannot click the like button as much as I would like to this song.

  • Does anyone know what tuning this is in?

  • @Skate4apples richie jackson part

  • This is without a doubt, the best version of this song. I love the version on The album "Be Forewarned", But this is sooooooo much better! Where did he find it? And where can I get tabs!?!?!?!?

  • just great, this band is so fucking amazing...!!

  • i <3 pentagram

  • dark side of the moon, heart of the sun, both pink floyd references.

  • @dodabender how can you reference something that wasn't yet created? 1972 comes before 1973...Just sayin' (this goes for "dark side of the moon" "heart of the sun" could be)

on topic, one of my favorite songs, i have their discography and well HELL FUCKING YEAH

  • @EoTMagni Sorry about that man, I wasn't very savvy on dates of album releases that happened before my father's birth. I didn't realize this came out before the Pink Floyd album.

  • @dodabender no problem, bro. I'm the annoying guy fixed with details :P And i have to admit that the whole first year that i knew this band, i thought exactly the same as you.

Anywhore, your dad it's pretty young !

  • @EoTMagni Nah man, he's in his late 30's, I'm only 14 though. I'm the young one here.

  • @dodabender nice to hear 14 year-olds listen to pentagram. I got a smile.

  • @EoTMagni dude, I've been listening ever since I was 5 years old.

  • @dodabender im 14 also

  • Yeah, Be f*ing forwarned! thats what its all about brothers !

  • Richie Fucking Jackson!

  • Both versions are great. Shows the evolution from Acid Rock to Doom Metal, and I like every step in the way.

  • my heart sent me here

  • i love this song..very strong..

  • richie jackson sent me here

  • @cramham HAHA same

  • Comment removed

  • @cramham yeah :)

  • @cramham you know when people say, "ohh thats the shit!" meaning its good? well richie isnt just the shit, he's the one that took that shit. hes a legend

  • @cramham haha and now was the shit

  • @cramham same here. I think that goes for a lot of other people too

  • @cramham like me and 146 others

  • this is a great song..amazing classic

  • never heard of pentagram or liebling until an article in rolling stone, i believe. but they were heavy for 1972! don't remember any other bands of that time sounding like that.

  • I'm 24 years old and nobody ever introduced me to Pentagram. What the fuck? I would like to thank the internet for showing me this band. I can't stop listening.

  • @Skarotum see my comment below. i'm 38 and never heard of them.

  • this is the absolute sickest. so perfectly evil and mindblowingly good.

  • Absolutely timeless. That solo around 2:45 is probably my all-time favorite, out of anything, ever. It's something you'd expect to hear when your entire life is replaying or "flashing" before your eyes.

  • ....start every day with this....

  • basura

  • this is so kool

  • I Never heard of this band but anyone that Is a true satan worshipper will Not give any sign that they worship the devil & they act like the most righteous thing In the world & the will make It known to You that their law Is more valuable than Your Soul & they will try to kill Your Soul If You break their law which they make against You. their laws have Nothing to do with safety It a deceptive way of calling You a stupid fool.

  • this is sweet. not a very good quality sound or heavy drum sound. but still, very powerful nonetheless

  • Sounds better in 240p :)

  • Could any one recomend any modern doom metal bands? I'm not hugely familiar with that subgenre. On wikipedia it is described as slower tempos, down-tuned guitars/bass, and a very heavy sound that in modern days makes use of screamed and growled vocals. I'm curious if any one knows a good band that somewhat fits that description. Thanks.

  • @kylemctreehugger1991 electric wizard, witch idk just go on pandora and do pentagram radio its the best

  • the intro and first verse of this song are the greatest things of all time

  • There is a new Documentary about Bobby Leibling. Search youtube for "ldh promo clip"

  • Why are people fighting on a pentagram video? Just go chill out smoke a joint and come back when you cretins learn what doom is all about.

  • @EscherRelativity rap? acoustic pop? soft rock? you arent a fake you just suck

  • I played this song last week on my car's player with my friends and I was driving on a dark intercities road where all of the sudden I came the closest ever to death by hitting a mega like zillion tons truck face to face ... WHY ?!! because I got so carried away I swear to God Almighty , I just forgot myself to the limit of leaving the steering wheel ...

  • being elite insant a bad thing ya dick

  • @clcs13 I think you should "Die in your sleep". Either that or you are "Much Too Young" or too brain dead. Say what you want on any other videos but, "Be Forewarned" some people on these videos will find you and make it "Your Last Days Here."

It isn't difficult to make a death threat with Pentagram...

  • Anyone know where i can get tabs for this?

  • @realityfrominsanity Good luck man, I've searched everywhere. If you end up finding em' message me. WORD!

  • Darkest hour did a good cover of this.

  • @EscherRelativity rap isnt even music

  • this is the best, thanks for the post

  • @EscherRelativity hey arschgesecht fuck you and whatever horse you rode in on

  • Skating and Pentagram - wtf is going on here ???

  • @yprs probably cause this song has been in skate video....but i don't know correctly what's going on here

  • metalheads; they all act alike and want to fit in a certain category. isn't metal about going your own way? if it is then why do you all label yourself and one another? i love alot of old metal bands, pentagram included, but i can't stand the fan base. just enjoy the music, just because you like certain music doesn't mean you should commit your entire life to it, dress like it, act like it and so on. you're just as bad as the subcultures you all hate. ;-) this is art, poetry, unlike most metal!

  • @DennChooch So fucking true man. I despise the kids that make it a way of life. That's ridiculous.

  • @DennChooch mind=blown! right on, man!

  • @DennChooch

your explaining punk..where metal got its speed and fast pace

  • @DennChooch you got it man, 100%!

    THE MUSIC IS WHAT MATTERS!

  • @DennChooch It's funny you point these thing's out. At my place of work people think i'm ghetto or mr. hip hop.

Dont get me wrong if it sound's good i'm there but it's not like i would go out of my way to show the public: Hey Look At ME . I love metal, punk and rock in general but i also like women that dont alway's fall into my demographic so i look neutral but i guess the majority of my brown folk's are cause of my label lol.

  • @DennChooch unlike most metal?? what do you mean?

  • @DennChooch true dat bro

  • @DennChooch You can go on saying we shouldn't conform~*~~ 'cause it's against what we believe, but even these guys were dressing up and looking the look, so fuck off.

We don't act and look alike because it's Metal, we don't listen to it because it's cool. We were drawn to this music for a reason, and dress the way we dress because it's who we are and no August Burns Red-listening wannabe will change that.

Most other subcultures just suck, that's why we hate them, not because they're conforming.

  • @DennChooch Pentagram and Erik Satie sit on the same shelf in my music collection, right next to Bette Midler, well maybe not Bette Midler but you get what I 'm sayin'.

  • @DennChooch I like it.

  • @DennChooch What he said!

  • @EscherRelativity yeah people are ignorant, also idiotic.

  • Uhh people- anyone from Halleluyah ( I can't spell) is the best plus Richie Jackson- know your slayers and stay educated people- this song is fuckin epic too :)

  • what is this song about?

  • @fayget1 hes the greatest skater that ever lived :) other then rodney mullen ;)

  • @butrocker and jason lee his session in blind- video days is amazing he was the master of tre's before we knew what tre's were

  • @MrGWAR2112 yea that was pretty nuts too ;)

  • @butrocker if you knew anything about skateboarding you would know that rodney mullen is nowheres close to the greatest skater that ever lived.

  • @joeyjbs i know that rodney isnt the greatest skater that ever lived im just saying hes the best out of todays society. i know there has been better im just saying rodney knows what hes doing and hes been doing it for a long time, along with skating in the bones brigade.

  • @joeyjbs If you knew anything about skateboarding you'd know that he basicly created what we call skateboarding. Before him there was no kickflip, no treflip, the only thing there was was riding the pools of California, freestyle(primo, pogo, etc), speed slalom, and a few people who could ollie.

  • @TraBry Just because he created them doesn't make him the best at it.

  • awesome mindblowing rays of rockenergy

  • @fayget1 I would like 2 second that RICHIE JACKSON motion

  • @EscherRelativity were not so different you and I

  • @EscherRelativity True words brother I listen to everything it's all good we just like music where not close minded neo nazi's. ;)

  • Richie Jackson o.O awesome part

  • you don't knoe shit about metal.

  • @BlackstarRaf you dont knoe shit about spelling.

  • Black Metal aint shit, its just not as good as other kinds of metal.

  • As I wake

    In the darkness

    And I look around

    There is no sound

    It's so tranquil

    It's so calm like you

But now I hear a noise

Is there any way to out of this nightmare

    Baby I'm alone now

    And you're laughing at me

  • absolutely fuckin awesome. THAT`s doom!

  • The guitars has some kind of vibrating that reminds of surf rock. It can also be heard on demoversions of last days here. Lieblings singing is also vibrant and expressive, but not in a heavy metal way. Did theese guys have anything to do with surf rock or were they from the west coast? i think their sound is very different from Black sabbath´s, even though they are often compared. Both are great bands, but i would say that they have totally different musical backgrund

  • @zulucase some of his shouts and yells reminds me of the power of steve marriott's singing. he's from the small faces. if you don't know about him.. don't be deceived by the poppy music. boy can sing

  • @elruchito I hadn´t thought about steve marriot, but you´re absolutely right! "Afterglow of your love" for example its nothing else but a proto-metal song from a mod-band. I also associate Liebling or maybe the whole band with Sky saxon and the seeds.

  • LOL @ the argument. They were doom, it's as simple as that.

  • Smokin

  • The guy who thinks pentagram is a black metal band also thinks mortician and deth klok are screamo bands so although i'm not a big fan of getting into arguments over genres i think its fair to say this guy also probably believes katy perry to be post hardcore.

  • @sludgegod666 That was just . . . beautiful. Whoever thinks this is black metal is a poser bitch.

  • THIS IS NOT BLACK METAL lol stupidest comment ive heard since someone tried sayin blue oyster cult is black metal you know what i mean hahaha this is doom metal it is perfound and stands alone

  • At first, when I heard this song, at 1:00 I thought Bobby said "I've gone to bed with men and ladies."

    hahahaha

  • fuck rap fuck wiggers y does everybody act black you dont see blacks listenin to metal y is that o because metal is white music rap isblack so stop posin you fuckin fakes get your head right u r not black no matter how much you ridearound in your car bumpin rap u look likefools try to be real ok

  • @clcs13

Judging by your spelling you're no better than the wiggers you denounce. Also black metal is no way shit but pentagram is not black metal tis doom metal.

  • @Waldvonhass You can't call Pentagram and bands like this from the late 60s and 70s Doom Metal because they predate the term. It was called either called Heavy Metal or Hard Rock or Acid Rock back in the day by the fans. Doom Metal and Black Metal were terms devised in the 80s.

  • @SupernautG it's called proto doom metal, officially. in case you were interested.

  • @xainish It is called that now. They did not call it that back in the day. We should not forget what the people who were making and hearing the music originally were calling it either.

  • @SupernautG BUT as the 80's doom mettlers (such as Thomas Gabriel warrior) cited bands like this as the biggest influence of them, and if you listen to the feel of the song, all that is missing from it to be from the modern era is the "crunch" . Sorry, it's in the genre as far as I am concerned.

  • @SupernautG I name it stoner metal!

  • @SupernautG I can call them whatever I want. But I must call you a noob.

  • @SnotAngle I'll call you snot.

  • @SupernautG

So - to take an analogy from Cinema - you can't call movies like "The Big Sleep" and "Sunset Boulevard" film noir because the term wasn't invented until the 1960s?

  • @MadAbdul Well, some people say Wagner is Doom Metal.

  • @SupernautG Agreed these guys aren't fucking metal at all! they are fucking raw ENERGY! pure DaRK energy thats been submerged with Rock FUCK YEA!

  • @SupernautG actually we call them doom because they create this gerne toghether with black sabbath

  • @sexi1708 All I was saying is that those terms did not exist back then - I wanted to highlight how original t hat sound was. They were doom before they created the term.

  • fukkn shit feel it

  • the thing is, if you like music, you like music. if it's hip hop/rap, metal, punk rock or what the f..k ever. it's music . i realy love pentagram, i love shit like wu, i love shit like gang starr, i lovvvveee F-Minus and aus-rotten and shit so fuck it

  • @kalapt dude...F-Minus and Aus-Rotten rule

  • @kalapt check out choking victim and leftover crack, if u like f-minus

  • actually havent heard much f-minus but they have ep's with crack rock steady

  • Surfing wiki for Sabbath and doom metal, I saw a reference to this band, and looked them up. How did I never hear of these guys? I think they just made a new fan.

  • walter sullivan is sitting in the front... creepy...

  • No god damned words for the band and for the song.I say only the best the fucking best

  • Hard to Believe that Bobby is a Christian now, despite that he still wears a pentagram necklace.

  • nearly 40 years later and still sound`s unbelievable what a band

  • These guys are really fantastic.

  • Well pleased to find this , great sound great voice great lyrics.

  • @EscherRelativity Well spoken brother.

  • I love this song. It´s cool hard rocking psych out good song.

  • Pretty jamming---not quite Black Sabbath--but it's cool.

  • suck me dick

  • @clcs13

Some people like both.. you can't just tell someone to limit themselves to one genre of music. Mixing the music is a horrible idea, you get shitty nu metal bands when mixing things like Rap and Metal, but Classical and Metal makes a good combination.

But liking both doesn't necessarily make them fakes. They're fakes if they only go into a mosh pit for two seconds and then feel badass.

  • @clcs13 this might be the most moronic comment ive ever seen on youtube.

  • @xainish There's way too much competition on here. Although it is pretty moronic.

  • @clcs13 you're clearly the biggest fake of the lot. you're trying to impress others by denouncing a genre you think "metalheads" as a whole dislike, well i have news for you. a lot of metal fans like rap too. before this song i was listening to talib kweli.

does that make me less of a metal fan? fuck no, i'll love metal for the rest of my life.

so get a grip and stop being an elitist douchebag. no one likes an elitist.

  • @clcs13 What are YOU doing on a Pentagram video?

The way you're talking, you should be back listening to Pantera or some other entry-level poseur shit for ignorant little kids who think the same way as you.

  • @clcs13 I listen to GG allin but i do have som Promoe-cds at home.

  • There is a band called Thusla Doom that did a cover of this song. i like both of them but this one just seems a little better. Just glad they covered a good song

  • satan is a racist

  • @clcs13 WRONG.

    Satan is mythology.

  • how many 15 year old girls or younger are there on youtube pussy poppin on thier web cam listening to lil wayne and how many are doing that shit while listening to anything else two year olds singing my humps you guys r nigger lovin posers i am from the ghetto so..........

  • @clcs13 metal girls need to take notes from girls who know how to shake their ass, cause no man wants a lazy dyke as a partner.

  • Good music. Don't like modern metal. Don't like metalheads: OMG WERE NON-CONFORMISTS THATS WHY WE ALL DRESS AND ACT ALIKE. I need to get ahold of this album asap.

  • @DennChooch word!

  • I agree, the first thing that i thought when i first hear this fantastic song is that classic blues songs, fulls of magic and energy, this is a punch in the face for those who denied blues influence in metal.

  • yes i am racist to an extent niggers are ruining the world with there infectous rap poisoning our children minds inworse ways than metal ever could niggers have all the women of world wanting to suck black and all the men wanting to be a gangster nigger so fuck you i am racist

  • @clcs13

hahaha you cant be serious, infectous rap? i mean, yeah i can agree that sucks, but the problem is not rap, is TV, and the conformist people who like that shit, is nothing to do with the race or skin colour that is just stupid, get back to school kiddy, the problem is society, black, whites, germans, japaneses, americans, southamericans etc...all of them! is not a matter of skin colour or anything like that.

  • @clcs13 No sir, there's a fine line between racism and asinine. And you're leaning towards ignorance more than anything. It's people like you that are destroying our children. Though, I hate the posers of this time. The wannabe rappers and gangsters. You don't ask to be a "gangster." When you grow up in the ghetto, it's inevitable. And that's somewhere you've obviously never been. You're pathetic. And I hope to Satan, your children do not grow up to be like you.

  • @Umenneskehater word dude :P hoping to satan always pays off, that guys gonna get it
