Hello MYLA879! I will write a blog post about this soon! I bought my piano down the street from my apartment in the biggest music arcade in Seoul. There are hundreds of music stores in one giant building called the Nakwon building in Jongno. You can definitely get a reasonable price there especially if you bring someone that speaks Korean with you to bargain! I paid about $700 for mine brand new!
I am moving to Seoul in a few weeks. May I ask how you went about purchasing your piano? I have to sell mine here in the States before I go and I never thought about buying one there. Was the price reasonable?
im only 14 and iv wanted to move to korea for like 3 years haha iv lost count of how many apartment videos iv watched haha my mom isnt approving of it so im gonna have to do it all on my own so ehh
If you saw Atlas, the giant who holds the world on his shoulders, if you saw that he stood, blood running down his chest, his knees buckling, his arms trembling but still trying to hold the world aloft with the last of his strength, and the greater his effort the heavier the world bore down upon his shoulders - What would you tell him?
Do you have to be scared there sometimes? As nights? Is it safe to live there? Your apartment is really cute and modern. =) Now I want to go to Korea (:(:
muy bonito e intersante tu video, soulsearching.... tienes buen gusto para decorar....... very nice and interesting video; you have a good taste for decoration.
@AMANDAtheAWESOMEone OOHHH. So you guys really don't have to pay for it??? But does the cost of it come out of the pay you make as a teacher? I mean, is it that you don't pay it directly, but the school system pays for it by taking money out of your pay? Or do they pay it all without deducting any of your pay?
Good tour. Reminds me of my apartment in Japan, except yours is much more spacious !! Also I had a generous two hobs for cooking !!! ha ha. No oven though. I wonder if you are still living in Korea. Nice location too ! So total price is $550 a month? Pretty cheap I think.
Love your excellent piano playing. Thanks for showing your interesting Korean apartment. Wish you had a little better camcorder (Pocket camcorders are very good and cheap these days). You guys don't pay Gym fee because you don't understand Korean....lol
Basically that is not apartment, It is a Officetel which is usually used Korean small office home office or individual small building style room home.
Basically typical Korean apartment have 2 more division rooms and must have balcony or veranda. : )
Do you teach English there? Was curious on what you do career wise. My friend and I are going to go visit this year.

Two filled fridges in a single bedroom apartment, how spoiled. Such a small refrigerator size is common in small apartments in Europe too.

Officetel. That is so cool. ^^ I love Konglish. haha.
I'm trying my best thought to learn actual Korean. I can read Hangul, but, I can't understand it yet.

Do you get a choice of where you want to live in Seoul, or anywhere in Korea?
Also, where are you from originally? I am guessing USA, but the accent also sounds Canadian.

Can you please tell us about what you pay in rent, electricity, internet, garbage, sewer, and other expenses?
Looks like you live IN VERY RICH DIGS!
