  • 2 things that I loved about WrestleMania IV:

    1) The WWF Championship was contested in a tournament; a feat that wouldn't be duplicated until 10 years later (Survivor Series 1998 was the last to hold a tournament to crown a new Champion)

    2) Hulk Hogan WAS NOT wrestling in the main event. Randy Savage and Ted Dibiase wrestled a beautiful match that night; and Savage became the NEW WWF Champion.

Sadly, Hogan would hog Savage's spotlight for a whole year until WrestleMania V.

  • Wresting sucks now but i will keep these videos to remind my self what good wresting truely is all about.if wwe go bank rupt good for them.

  • loved venturas banter.. he should run for presidency.. use his executive orders to force himself back into the WWE.. lol

  • classic shit i grew up on....brings back memories...

  • After WMIII they just couldnt top that. But like someone said. WMIV was entertaining. But the realy winnder of IV was Monsoon and Ventura. If it wasnt for them IV would have been a total flop. Wrestling today should really look back to the glory days

  • From 2:13-2:17 Awwww How Sweet

  • BEST WRESTLEMANIA INTRO EVER!!!!!

  • @HBK344356 very much agreed

  • Everyone at this event was ZOOTED on tons of cocaine

  • I like how BASIC the ring entrances were for WrestleMania 4 and 5 were.

No HD sets, no titantrons, no HD crap to give you a seizure. Just an entrance, the WrestleMania logo, the WWF symbol below. One of the reason why the Hulkamania era will forever stay as No. 1.

  • @lightning116 The 80's and 90's had the perfect blend of production values and match quality.

  • Not the best Wrestlemania but certainly the BEST Wrestlemania intro

  • i liked the olden wwe...

  • Jessie reminds me of Crocadile Dundee

  • Gladys Knight was amazing here.

  • @1981CrueHead true. She just rocked. One of the all time greatest WM vocal performances

  • the greatest tournament in wwe history and i'm glad my fav Macho man won it all

  • now this is a wm not the boring sht they got today

  • @bizzybez

wms these days are way more packed. 70,000+ & with better pyro/wrestling.

those days ew it was so grey.

your like 60 right? go fuck your grandkids..

  • Man they sure do bring back a lot of good memories, today's wrestling for the most part is a complete waste of fucking time, they don't use the proper music anymore like they did back then from the original composers, now days most of the theme songs are from stupid modern pop/rock.rap bands. WWE went started going down the hill in year 2000 and it keeps getting worse everyday, WWE is on life support!

  • i always ask my father that how is it like to live in 1980s..

  • Are u guys serious about this being one of the best wrestlemania. Most of the matches were lame. The crowd sucked. They were not into it. A few cheers here n there. I was bored to death. The only good thing was the macho man getting the belt. Side note the million dollar man is one the most under rated wrestler ever. That guy puts on a show..

  • This was the early days of the WTWIW Era.

-Which gave birth to the Big 4

-Midcarders and jobbers like Randy Savage and Ted DiBiase were getting the top card push.

-New stars like the Rockers,Hacksaw Jim Duggan,Bad News Brown,Demolition and Big Boss Man were coming in.

  • @steeltownbrown52 and let's not forget THEEEEEE ULTIMATTTTTTTEEEEEE WARRRRRIIIOOOORRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @romans52345 My mistake.

  • @steeltownbrown52 no worries...oh and also Rick Rude

  • @steeltownbrown52

Yupp, the ol school Rock n Wrestling was done with largely. After the pinnacle of WM3, retirement of Piper, throughout 1987, it was just a cool down period to this new transition period of being more over the top more gimmicky. Until about WM8, when Hogan left in 92, and Bret took over, that was also the period of the real comical characters before it started to get more serious (pre-attitude in 1996).

  • The golden age of wrestling!

  • Monsoon and Ventura are legends. Trump must have paid big bucks to have Wrestlemania IV and V after selling out the silver dome!

    My two favs!

  • Could somebody answer this:

Bob Uecker is looking for Vanna White the whole wrestlemania then at the end he's looking for Vance White?

  • glorious years of my wrestling time

  • I love this intro too. Arguably One of the Best WMs Ever!

  • Gladys Knight, 2nd only to Aretha Franklin in "America The Beautiful"

  • i love this intro, it kicks fuckin ass!

  • duh!!

  • PITY TURNER RAN AGAINST THIS,,,,,,it could have been a classic

  • @jasongreenwooduk2 He went head to head with WM4. Was his show better?

  • i would kill for one of those hats @ 0:34

  • one of the best wrestlemania's simply because a deserving world champ was crowned in macho man ooh yeahhhhhhhhhh

  • really? I was there in Trump Plaza, and I was a big Bret Hart fan before he was really a fan favorite. I'm happy I got to see his switch to a babyface. But, man I've got to say, this, in my opinion was the most predictable WM. This and WM 7. I was there, and I think it was a bit lame. Still better than the "wrestling" of today, I can't even watch that trash.

Wrestling of the 80's and 90's the absolute best. Now Vince just sold his soul for ratings. His father would turn in his grave.

  • i agree with u man

  • thisisshane i agree wrestlemania 4 is my fave

  • WrestleMania IV is and will always be my favouite WrestleMania next to WrestleMania VI.

  • there are not too many ppl that would say that but from wrestlemania 1-25, my favorities have to be 6 and then 4

  • classic intro, thanks for the post.

  • wrestlemania 4 and 5 are my favorite!

  • yeah the american song

  • wrestlemania iv live on trump plaza hotel and casino, atlantic city new jersey

  • And V.

  • This was the first Wrestlemania I ordered off PPV as cable only came to our area just that previous summer. Guess what the cost of the PPV was? $19.95.

  • 20 bucks for 4 hours plus of some of the GREATEST wrestling ever seen.

now 20 years later, 60 bucks for HHH vs John Cena borefests.

    sad indeed.

  • WM 4 was very entertaining, particularly because of the over-the-top banter between Monsoon and Ventura.

  • @philaman1972 yeah they were my favourite commentator due by far

  • @erok8150

    no you faggot.

    fuck your mum

  • @erok8150 Greatest wrestling ever seen? Where you on crack when you watched this? It was garbage on the highest level. WM 5 was alittle better but still WM4 and WM5 are considered two of the worst big name events in the history of wreslting.

  • @erok8150 i agree this years wrestlemania was a bore fest i am so happy i watched it for free instead of being ripped off 65 bucks i miss the good old days of pro wrestling all we have is Ring of honor thats wrestling and i do mean wrestling

  • @erok8150 Triple H beating up Cena alone is worth the $60.

  • @erok8150 Remember back then a lot of people had hot boxes so some people watched this for free. I miss the old analog boxes. fuck digital cable

  • @erok8150 This was due to Reagan being an ass-hole, and lowering taxes for the rich!

  • Favourite WrestleMania of all for me!

  • amazing
