  • After that monstrosity the gals went back to japan and this jerk of a comic is now a has-been.

  • Ahead of it's time, much?

  • This was released on DVD? Does it come with a free 40-gallon drum of Kool Aid?

  • This show was released on DVD while "Captain Caveman" hasn't. Something is very wrong here.

  • Jeff Altman is a pig

  • I barely remember this show, but who was Jeff Altman?

  • @smith1958b Jeff Altman was ostensibly a "comedian"; he's had numerous guest appearances on many shows, including The Dukes of Hazzard and Thunder in Paradise.

  • Best show IMO.

  • 80s television is always like a bad bad hangover

  • yes, and this garbage was gone in six weeks; largely because they did not speak english. talk about a couple of capitalistic bitches.

  • @fran9860 I'd put the blame on Fred Silverman and his pathetic ideas of success.

  • @RetroToledo Super Train! It's Love Boat, but on rails!

    Brilliant!

  • This show was ridiculous but I think I watched every episode. It's available on Amazon for the low price of $165!

  • i heard this show was shit according to tv gide but i must say it looks good if you go by the sumo lol

  • The girls were cute, but the show sucked.

  • I had almost forgotten about this until I saw Jeff Altman on Letterman this evening. It was a good kind of bad show.

  • Pink Lady & George Takei would have been an awesome show

  • @nuwavevidspud Ohhhhh my!

  • @Lexx2 Is what he said after seeing Jeff Altman's "comedy"

  • ITS KEI!

  • This show looks like a dream I once had after taking too much NyQuil.

  • there is a book "BAD TV" that talks about this and it is on dvd. Good show but doesnt make any sense. you need to read the book about it...

  • I thought I was the only one who watched this show. I only watched it because Jeff Altman resembled my math teacher who I had a crush on at the time. lol

  • In the Navy=background music?

  • @gerryono Pink Lady did a song called "Pink Typhoon (In The Navy)" which borrowed heavily from In The Navy. I bet that's the reason for the background music.

  • @AceofFours

    Really?

Thanks for the info, I don't know much about Pink Lady

Have you heard of the Candies, by chance?

  • The only problem (besides the "slapdash" way the show was put together and the bad ratings) was that Mie and Kei could not speak or understand a word of English. They had to learn their "patter" and "funny lines" phonetically. NBC executive Fred Silverman, who "discovered" Pink Lady, and insisted they could become another "Sonny & Cher" or "Donny & Marie" [his previous successes on other networks], fervently hoped that viewers wouldn't notice the flaws. After six weeks, they did.

  • Happy 30th anniversary, Pink Lady Show!

  • Man I remember watching Pink Lady & Jeff ever week when it came on NBC. Those ladies were freakin' hot. I was disappointed when it was cancelled.

  • Long Live Pink Lady!!!

  • Those ladies are cute.
