based on the comments...punk is all inclusive. some softer. some harder. street punk, squat, crust, hardcore, pop, it's all in there. if you take an honest punk band i.e. rancid and put it up to anything that is not punk, you will hopefully hear the difference. music and the message behind it. it's not something that is black and white. tim has it right. he is one of the most punk cats in the world as is rancid. they play slow sometimes, but if you listen to the lyrics...it's punk as f..
