Him forcing the rest of the band to sign over their rights to the name Guns N' Roses before the Get In The Ring tour was a total bush league douchebag move on his part. Ironically, from reading Adler's book, it seems that he would've been the only one with balls enough to call Axl's bluff and tell him to go get fucked, had he not been sacked a year earlier. His firing was the beginning of the end, if you ask me.

Really? I saw some clip on here recently where Slash even brings it up during an interview. I tend to try to avoid picking sides, but, I can't imagine Slash admitting to having signed if he really hadn't done so.

@bigboy1010101able Steven Adler after he was fired he took a combination of 100 Valium Tabs, shot up as much Heroin as he could get and downed a couple of bottles of Jägermeister, he should of died, but had a stroke.

His mother obtained Power of Attorney as Steven was suicidal, Steven stated that she stole around $5,000,000

Steven is doing great now, he is married and recently played on Slash's album. He has his own band Adlers Appetite

His book "My Appetite For Destruction" is a great read.

@mylesimax oh, i know what you mean. Izzy has a distinct style and his songwriting is HUGELY important. izzy does not get enough credit, but i think he is generally "respected" for what he does. i just think adler doesnt really get the respect he deserves as a drummer.

Agreed. Contrary to popular belief, he was actually IMPROVING when they sacked him. No way was he as sloppy live in 1989-1990 as he was between 1987-1988. Plus, he sounds better than ever today.
