The inner tube is the trick if you put inner tube on the bottom of the fire it will give the tinder time to dry out enough to ignite remember is survival all is fair
ppl always say you can use "birch bark" to start a file & in most case's thats TURE, however its not so true when its being raning and it's a nighmere to get lit, But ppl argu this point and say it dont matter its wet as "it's full of oil" But in my experience it dont make any difference, i could never get it to light. so whats your view / experience of this ?
your right Fritos work great as a fire starter but i don't burn the hole bag all at one time just feed the fire a few at a time and it will work even on wet wood
That is a great idea the only problem with that in the Mojave Desert is that the first hot in May and the wax is melted and spilt all over the carpet under the seat Ive had really bad luck with wax here
Like a boyscout, be prepared. Fire is too important not to have. Having one SURE fire technique is a MUST have. My secret is a 5oz tuna can with rolled up cardboard stuffed inside, several strips of cotton shirt as wicks and then fill with wax. It'll burn for about an hour and dry out wood.
Well, I don´t mean to sound rude here, but, how often do you have gasoline with you, really? + I´m pretty sure that the fire will go out as soon as the gasoline has burned up, maybe the fire will keep on burning for some minutes or so, but not much longer. It is mainly the gasoline that burns, not the wet wood. The wood need longer time to dry than the time it takes for the gasoline to burn up.
WET?? Looks like lots of sunshine from here

I like to use a bag of Fritos. Fritos burn a long time. Maybe not the best for wet wood, but great for getting a fire started.

Did you not see the inner tube in the center of the fire? You ether didn't watch the video and just talking smack or you had the volume off

I apologize, I could hardly hear the sound of the vid, because there were alot of noise around me.
Therfor, I couldn´t hear what you said that the inner tube was used for.
Again, sorry.

you are right if you don't put the inner tube
in the fire. it will burn out when the gasoline burns off
