If I'm not mistaken, this is vintage 70's video not 90's. Although Blue Man Group were obviously inspired by them to some degree, I would say that Mummenschanz and The Residents have much more stylistic connections to each other than either of them have to Blue Man (The Residents also began in the 70's).
