I find the majority of these concept art designs to be very gritty grungy and atmospheric and with some tinkering would be well placed within a 3D MMO environment.

most of these designs are either not intricate enough or just very generic. With all the amazing conceptual artist I see scattered around the internet it seems they "half assed" it. An exception is maybe @ 3:27 that one has a nice aesthetic.

I saw the CEO of Jagex On G4 and He made it Official that mechscape is coming out some point between Late 2009 and early 2010,but who knows he wouldn't say much.

March was the original planned release date, but clearly wasnt true - Jagex have failed on this one, Mechscape wont be as popular as runescape is, they should have spent the time and resources updating their current (successful) game, instead of jumping 2 big feet into the unknown and bringing out a new game that they cant guarantee the popularity of it, imagine how much better runescape would be if they used their technicians updating it instead of creating Mechscape!

nothing is going to be there main priority because runescape and mechscape both have there separate teams a team of people work on runescape and a team of people work on mechscape. so therefor nothing is going to be focused on more cause they both have different teams....

no, they said on the official fan site of mechscape, that rs and mechscape have completelly different teams. COMPLETELLY, and that if anything, rs will profit from the technologicall advances brought forth by mechscape. so really, i expect rs to be beter than ever at this point.

Nobody has a definite answer. Jagex doesn't want people to get, "over-hyped" over it. It happens when the customers are so eager to play it and think it is gonna be so good then when they play it, it isn't what they thought it was. They don't want this to happen.

The thing is, and I should probably have put that in the description, that the game isn't out yet and all of these images are POSSIBLE concept art. We have gotten two official pieces of art, but these were all before MechScape World received these. Thanks a lot!

I hope MechScape will be like RuneScape too, in a way. I just don't want MechScape to be like RuneScape in most ways or it would just seem like RuneScape in a sci-fi skin. From the official concept art (got to MechScape World to see) I think that it will definitely have some very new features as far as story and setting and how everything functions goes.
