Saw the Reverend with Flogging Molly; he opened, then a Swedish punk band, then Street Dogs. My son and I agree- they coulda dumped Street Dogs altogether for more time with the Big Damn Band.
@yvwic50 They opened in NYC for Flogging Molly 4 years ago and man did they get the crowd fired up with songs like this... Unfortunately, Jesse Malin was the act in between and his whiny vocals had the crowd turn on him within 2 songs. Gotta be tough to follow Rev. Peyton.
@jamamanjamh13 She really only plays washboard as far as I know. And its actually a steel guitar, with a pinky slide (or harmonica in this case, ha) Slide guitars usually sit flat (horizontal)
@gravymanz54 I didn't get to see them yesterday at warped. They went on at the same time as Every Time I Die, and they were the reason that i went to warped. But i got a Rev Peyton T-shirt and cd from them to show my support!
Saw these guys last night. Rocked the house like nobody's business. "We gotta play a song, some might say it's a silly song, but that doesn't change the fact that Breezy's cousin was on cops!"
I heard him and the band in Fayetteville, Arkansas at the Bikes, Blues and BBQ rally. That evet brings guitar players from all over and in a "Land of Players" this big guy's playing STOOD OUT!!! He is indeed a "guitar player". MAN!
@geminiboys1994 I seen about a year and half ago when they toured with Flogging Molly and have to say became a fan after that night. I may have been a little intoxicated but do remember the vibe that came off in the venue and it just set off the night for Molly. Definetly will be great at Warped Tour
I saw them at a music festival while I was tripping balls. The music was so magical, and the people dancing in the field were so happy. The world was at peace, and I have to thank the big damn band and the most beautiful thing in the world, lsd.
Caught them for the first time with my daughter last night in Richmond and the night before in Charlottesville! Kick ass band man! But then any band with a washboard and a guy that plays slide with his harmonica always kicks ass in my book! Check him out at 3:01!!!
I have to say, even though I'm sure I'll get cussed out plenty for this, they had a better show than Flogging Molly. Although, when you put the whole show together with FM, Reverend Peyton, and the Cherry Coke$, it was one of the best shows I've ever seen. The ending with everybody rocked.
I saw the rev and the band open for Flogging Molly in Norfolk that absolutely kicked ass! their music is something you wouldnt think would be playing with FM,But the sold out Norva crowd along with me absolutely loved them
Yeah they are the best opening band I have seen to date, honestly I would go see them as a headlining band no problem. They ROCKED. I really dug their set.
Oh yeah - saw them at Water Street too... They really got it working, and you know what? seemed like they were thrilled to be there. Loved the sing-along - is that the DEVIL or the DT's???? WHOOOOOOOOO! Only the Reverend (and Washboard Breezy) know fer sure!
i saw them in buffalo too, i watched their entire set, they were really great, i kept calling him the hillbilly tom morello, he was awesome, but flogging molly's show was better come on, and plus, nate and bob were hanging out with people after the show too, they're all great people.
Yeah! I saw them last night with Flogging Molly too, and they were honestly one of the best opening bands that I've never heard of. They really engaged the audience, and that's something The Mighty Stef didn't end up doing. :]
This was an awesome idea for them to tour with FM. It set the stage. And Washboard Breezy is f~king mad crazy on that washboard. She would turn and solo with her eyes buggin out all crazy. It rocked =D It rocked even more for FM to follow lol
These guys kick ass!!!! The sweatiest, foot stompinest, electric show I have ever seen Next to Jason Webley of course. They played together here in Eugene. We had the luxury of spending sometime and having pie for breakfast. Love them.
Definitely see them when you get a chance. I remember seeing them for the first time at The Melody Inn in their home city of Indianapolis. They played Punk Rock Night in front of about 30 people. They've come a long way.
their live show is ridiculous...one of the times I saw them was at summerfest before flogging molly came on...all these kids were sitting around just staring and we had just got done seeing Railroad earth...we jumped up right away (ended up being a group of twenty or so...) and just started rocking out on the bleachers...what was really cool is these flogging molly punk kids started getting up and rocking out...I still see mohawks!!!!!!!
