As much as i am upset that my home country Australia lost the bid, Qatar deserve it. Why?
They have the cleanest country in the world.
They are the richest country in the world, so they can pay for the stadiums and resources.
They will promote the middle east and spread football out to every part of the world.

@yobrotherofut the government of Qatar encourages & supports Qatari students. theyre even sending them to the United States & Europe to study for free but if the student fails in his studies, he has to pay everything spent for his study to the government. btw, Qatar Foundation encourages Qatari Women to work, they're giving them the position that they deserve. Qataris are good people :) Im living in Qatar though Im not Qatari.

I truly hope they Re-think the Design on a few of those stadiums, they are so ordinary and cliche. There are only 3 stadiums that might be worth while. Al-Shamal stadium, Al-khor and Al-Wakrah sports complex.

Qatar weather is dry and very hot. The sun shines brightly on almost all the days in the country. Temperatures in the country are on the higher side. Since most of the country is a desert, the temperatures rise above 45ºC. June to September is the peak summer time in Qatar. During summers, the temperatures soar to about 50ºC. It is extremely hot during the day, while the nights are warm, and not as extreme as the day conditions. Humidity is also quite high during the summer months.
