Good beginners phone but it's too fat and thick. When you put it in your pocket it bulges out.... even if you have baggy pants on. But anyway its a decent phone i wouldnt count on getting it for a two year plan but my mom and dad bought it for me and this sunday i get to get a new phone...btw im getting a lg vu

This cell phone is perfect . The camera is very clean and clear . the style of the phone rocks and is simple . This cell phone provides a great sound quality and very loud , without distortions .

You should really try this phone . People always say that there's faults with this and that but you have to try it yourself . and from my hands on Experience Its 100% PERFECT FOR ME :)

Actually the buttons are not hard to press. I also got 6131 and it has serverd me pretty well. I have taken 200 pictures, 34 over 4 MT video clips all in my memory card. :) I've been planning to buy KU990. *sigh* It pwns. God I want it.

The cellphone seems good for a few months, then problems will follow one after another and eventually the screen will go out randomly every few seconds, this is without dropping, damaging, or getting the phone wet. Do not get this phone!

I think 6085 has beaten that cellphone for Sound quality. 6085 has a speaker that beaten N 70 and N 73 lols. 6085 almost beat N95... N95 has two speaker so...

yeah, i totally agree with you, i have this phone too, i haven´t have any problem still, i am happy with the nokia 6131, i have the nokia 6230i too, i love nokia´s phones, because they are usefull and resistant. I always recommend nokia´s phones. So congratulatios for it. Take care! bye!

i agree this is indeed a good phone to music and messages and all kind of multimedia. but the camera is also okay. i can strongly recommend this phone its very good. my girlfriends had one of those a few months ago and she was sick of the camera. but i really want one now, but it is not in stores in denmark where i live right now, so im buing the 6290 instead :)

this phone does scratch easily, but other than that i have had no problems. it does however have a pretty small memory so a memory card may be necessary. all in all i am really pleased wit hthe phone and it's features.

To DmcG120. You must buy a new memory card. I have in my nokia 2 GB card and I don't care about memory. I had the same problem so don't wait and just buy memory card. It doesn't cost much.

Like many other reviewers the underlying operative system is totally forgotten. Nokia 6131 has Symbian 4.0 which is a poor choice because there are very few applications for it. N70 has Symbian 7.0 with loads of applications. On all other aspects am very satisfied by my 6131.

"It's forgotten" because 6131 doesn't run on Symbian. It is Nokia Series 40 Interface phone, using Nokia's proprietary software (firmware) and not Symbian. Nokia smartphones (as the N70) run on Symbian S60 (ex Series 60)

I have the Nokia 6126, which is the United States version of this phone and I LOVE IT! The battery life on this phone is not that great. I can tell you that now. The phone is much easier to use and it works great for what I use it for. I highly recommend it for anyone who wants a high tech phone. :)

My 6131 battery lasts about 5-8 days depending on use. Very first time you load the battery, phone informs after about 2 days of use "battery is low, charge!" but in fact it's not low. Just keep phone on and it can last even for 36 hours after that. When phone turns off by itself, load battery. After you have done this 2-3 times battery life increases significantly, at least mine did.

This is the best phone i ever had. It is so easy to type text with it, thanks to big keys and pad. Other phones have too small keys and pad, and they are too close to each other, a pain in the donkey to use. Thank you Nokia, for creating the best phone (for me) to use, ever. But the lack of 3G and the screen will be a little loose, after a while, but i dont care.
