Watch here on YT the BBC Documentary, 'Guinea Pig Kids' & see how Dr's, Big Pharma & The City of NY treat poor, black & hispanic foster kids who are HIV positive. After viewing, please write Mayor Bloomburg & tell him this Nazi Genocide must stop!
For an interesting article Google: 'Guatemalans to sue US government for secretly infecting them with syphilis.'
I know he was there and wrote half of this song but together with Bono it still feels a little like a very good karaoke moment!! (with or without the karaoke machine!)
Itś like having 2 hard kick a** guys sing a girly 80s pop/rock hit HAHAHA...to funny but still bloody darn good!!
@Flamingjune20 actually, Bruce wrote and recorded this song for the Darkness on the Edge of Town. The producer Smith and Springtsteen were sharing gave a tape of it to Smith while she was in the studio next to him and she changed up the lyrics for her version. Thus the shared credit. He never put it on a studio album tho and she made it popular. So in that sense, it is her song and that is the context most people hear it in.
@Flamingjune2 I didn't mean to sound know-it-all-e, sorry! It totally has a karaoke feel on this video. If you like this you should listen to the version on the 1975-85 Live record. It is pretty amazing!
@drchangr The version on the 1975-85 box set is the worst version I've ever heard by Bruce. Should instead check out ones from soundboard darkness tour boots. The guitar solo is so much more intense. Or look around youtube. Passaic '78 and Largo '80 are good ones.
Haven't heard this song for so long! Brings back so many memories!
