Most so-called Palestinians are descended from recent Arab immigrants to Israel, many let in by the British who kept out many European Jews who then perished in German concentration camps. Originally all of Israel, Gaza, West Bank and Jordan was promised as a Jewish homeland. The small rump left of the ancient Jewish homeland was still too much for Arabs who refused to accept ANY Israel and attacked in 1948 - and lost.

Just to clarify, when I mentioned the right of Jews to live in what in 1948 was a small part of their ancient land, I meant of course the ancient JEWISH land of Israel. Jews have lived in Israel continuously for thousands of years, there has been a majority of Jews living in Jerusalem since the 19th century, and now Jews are back in greater numbers from exile in many countries where they suffered much persecution and murder, the land of Israel is flourishing again, as predicted in the Bible.

Israel has given up much for peace, but frankly the more land we give away, the more will be used as launching pads for rockets fired at our citizens. Hatred is taught in Gaza and the West Bank, and maps of so-called "Palestine" include ALL of Israel. Israel is not the aggressor. The situation in Gaza is the responsibility of Hamas. Instead of channelling funds received into infrastructure, they have built up their weapons, firing rockets into Israel deliberately to kill civilians for YEARS. Israel left Gaza (which shares a border with Egypt as well) and the rockets only increased. Hamas's charter explicitly calls for the genocide of Jews and the destruction of the state of Israel, set up in a much smaller area than originally promised to the Jews, under the UN.

Some of the posters here need to learn some history. Israel has not "stolen" Palestinian land: there was never such an entity to begin with. While Jews have lived continuously in Israel for 1000s of years and have a long ancient connection with the land in their religion and in the Bible, most so-called Palestinians are descendants of recent Arab immigrants. Israel was almost desolated in the mid 19th century (read Mark Twain). Try reading Joan Peters' "From Time Immemorial" for some facts!

and i dont understand how u can say that "few number of civilians dead is a good news"
for me, even 1 civilian death is just as bad as 600 civilians. but i know u r being fed these thing through ur media and government. u must be sitting inside a bunker somewhere in israel, watching ur news channel where they are justifying killing of innocent people. but just think of those childern who have no place or bunker to hide inside. no siren to inform them of the israeli air strike.

How on earth could there be any "peace treaty" with Hamas , their Charter is more than clear , they declared a perpatual Jihad against the Jews & they are opposed to peace or any kind of negociations , see articles 11, 13 & 15 of their Charter & since you are Muslim , you understand that they quote the Quran & Hadiths that are Sahih & that they will never stop harassing Israel since they consider Israel to be a Land of Waqf (Islamic faith) , that must be ethnically cleansed of its Jewish people

the palastians have adopted themselves the jewish ethose - the return to zion and the holyness of jerusalem - and even built a mosque on top of the holyest place for jews, (a common muslim practice today...) but the city wich is holy to the muslims and "palastinians" is mecca, not jerusalem - jerusalem isn't even menssioned ONCE in the quoran!
...the "right of return" for the "palastinians" is only to arab countryes, not to zion...

For all these people know, these missile strikes are from qassam rockets missing their mark, which happens half the time one is launched from Gaza in their attempts to reach Israel.
Problem is, there have been so many cases of fabricated eyewitness reports that now every time a Palestinian eyewitness states something, its automatically accepted as the truth.
This has nothing to do with being insensitive, but rather cautious in what comes out of Arab media.

I don't see why Israelis expect Palestinians to greet Israelis with roses when Israel controls every aspect of their lives along with their airspace, sea access and border crossings. Their goal is to make the Arabs as miserable as possible so that they leave and Israel can have all of the land from the Euphrates to the Mediterranean. Land-thieving terrorists.

It never ceases to amaze me that Israelis and Westerns accuse Palestinians of using children as human shields because they fight from civilian areas considering Israel has forced a population of 1.5 million into 140 square mile strip of land! With a population that size in that small patch of land, where isn't a civilian area?! Also, there are many more documented cases by human rights orgs of Israel using children as shields.

The Citizenship Law (Temporary Order), introduced in 2003, establishes that the interior minister does not have the authority to approve residence in Israel for non-Jews. This destroys the rights for young Israeli and West Bank Palestinians, under 25 for women and 35 for men, to be able to marry and live together. The ban also covers Palestinians of all ages residing in Gaza.
