  • Imagine America as a grand pine tree.

Its roots are the Constitution, woven with love.

The trunk and lower branches are established growth.

At the top is the growth tip, amendments, cultural changes, improvements.

The tree must grow horizontally (conservatively) and vertically (liberally) to be healthy.

If you turn the tree upside down so the growth tip is buried and the Constitution is up top, the tree will die.

The Constitution must nourish the tree and keep it steady but not block its growth.

  • The Royal family runs America, not the President! If Obama's a Black Nationalist, So what, The Bush family are Nazi Sympathizers. No matter what, Zionist Bankers run all of this shit! and they fund it all!! If they dint want Barack as president, he wouldn't be!! 2 wrongs don't make a right, but don't act like there's a good side of the coin. The pope, the Queen, the President all evil!!

  • @sonicsoundwaveus So you said absolutely nothing and insulted a alot of people. Where are your intelligent comments? Bush as not a Nazi supporter... and Obama is not a Black nationalist - he's an idiot that follows the instruction of George Soros and other elites that are out to ruin this country. Grow up... and go back to school, one that tells the truth instead of filling you up with crap.

  • Then JFK the mudda flucker :) He ain't even born in America. Why are they keeping these documents of his birth certificate in Kenya a secret. You democratic fools voted in the devil to be your president :(

  • Then JFK the mudda flucker :)

  • Ugh. I voted for McCain. It's kind of upsetting to me that some of you are saying, "Oh yeah, I voted for him.. that was such a mistake." Come on PEOPLE. Research your Presidential candidates!! Barack made his intentions loud and clear years before he was elected president. This disgusts me.

  • @rolltideroll388 Most voters watch the evening news, listen to the biased reporting, then watch campaign ads and vote like they are buying a box of cereal. You know what's inside if you read the label, but you buy it anyway.

  • oh silly saunders have you never read, the secret of YHVH is with them that fear him.?

And again; the Lord YHVH does nothing without revealing his secret to his servants the prophets.

  • How easily the American people have been deceived by a CIA op.

Barrack Hussein Obama is the last president that this country will see.

God gives to the nations the leaders they deserve.

  • @8Anya8 How do you know he will be our last president? Your not God!

  • Yeah? Guess what Obomination? The AMERICAN PEOPLE REJECT YOU.

WE REJECT YOUR ATTEMPTS TO ISLAMISE AMERICA.

WE DESPISE YOU FOR WEAKENING THE SECURITY OF OUR NATION.

WE DESPISE YOU FOR ALLOWING CAIR TO HAVE YOUR EAR.

You will never get another term, you are the most HATED of all presidents who ever sat in the Oval Office. We know that your allegience is not to this country, but to your stinking stone-age death cult and we can't wait for your term to be over.

  • The 1930's depression was not as bad as what our "recession" was and is. Look up jobs lost, value of money, etc.

  • @TheFightingDoes VERY SCARY PLS STORE SEEDS WATER FOOD FOR SIX MONTHS OR MORE IF CAN NOW .......BRIANISYAHWEH

  • Aaaaarrrrrrgggggg!!! I hear this muslim quoting the "Holy Koran" time after time, and the reverence he has for it is blaring, but the one time he is heard speaking of the Bible, of which he CLAIMS to be a believer/not, he is laughing at it and mocking it. Dang how could we have been so stupid?!?!?!?!

  • You cannot go on endlessly complaining about muslims, immigration and social decay without going for the origin(ators) of the problems. The source of this destructive social manipulation is very clear once you understand it, and only by discussing it and removing the veil that covers it can we overcome it. Please watch my "Soros" and "Tony Blair" videos for an expose of the originators and why they are doing it.

  • @thegreatfearblog Yeah fuck the Pilgrims!!!

    LOL

  • @Pick1980a ????????????????????????????????

  • @thegreatfearblog Figured you would not see the irony

  • Just the way he pronounces the word Koran shows that he has a devout reverence for the handbook that encourages terrorism, pedophilia and murder.

    2012 Folks, we've gotta make a CHANGE in 2012.

  • P.S. I obviously do not care what you think, do I?

Right wingers used to be gun totting mavericks and now they all wine about how the world conspires against them. It's pathetic really.

There are quite a few Republicans which are business minded who would have given me a real debate on this topic but it is obvious you lack knowledge and the experience to provide that level of debate.

p.s. noticed you did not answer my question about tuck

  • RETURN TO JUSTICE & TO THE TRUTH, AMERICA!

    -

    Jesus __IS__ coming...

  • WE HAVE A WAR TO FIGHT AGAINST THE DEEPEST CAULDRON OF WAR AND BLOODSHED THE EARTH HAS EVER KNOWN AS TAUGHT IN THE KORAN and MANIFEST IN ISLAM, WHICH HAS INCITED WAR, BEHEADINGS, STONINGS MURDER AND SUICIDE FOR 1400 YEARS.

Moderate and Extremist is a pathetic good cop / bad copy ploy since MOHAMMAD himself WAS A BRUTAL MERCILESS KILLER.

Did Jesus kill anyone? Ever?? He raised the dead!!

  • Has this character ever said anything negative about the Islam faith? I know he isn't shy about criticizing religions b/c I've heard what he's had to say about Christianity. But all he seems to have for Islam is praise. People, we screwed up very badly. We have a job to do in 2012, even if it means crossing 100 party lines, we must get this imposter out of our White House. I hope we make it to 2012 w/o him doing something very dastardly against the USA. We makem heap big booboo.

  • Interesting how much he praises Islam, why is that? He might not be a Muslim, but sure does sound like a Muslim.

  • And he has not started. Just wait till his true colors are revealed.

The Great USA is now ruled from Saudi Arabia.

All these guys have used Saudi Petro dollars to come to power and pre-eminence

  • They bombed Our tallest building.

  • A disgrace. He's the evil dude written about in the bible. It was not Hitler - it is Obama~!

  • Muslims lie because Islam has no truth for Muslims to speak truthfully[w w w faithfreedom o r g].

    Hence:

    1] Muslims[Imam Rauf] speak LYINGLY to deceive all;

    2] Evil men become Muslim terrorists to advance themselves for greed by usurping authorities using Sharia laws to coerce all Muslims making them terrorists too;

3] Fearful people[OBAMA & M BLOOMBERG] are easily forced into siding Islam

    &

4] Jesus says in Rev 21:8 "THE FEARFUL & THE LIARS will go to hell to await judgement'.

    AMEN

  • @explainingwhy double-plus triple-good!!!

people in the grip of DOUBT will do extraordinary things to convince OTHERS !

Jihadists try convert others by force because they have NO FAITH themselves and can't understand WHAT IS THIS SLAM they are supposed to believe in??

Thats why we always hear from muZlims how many billions of people believe in iZlam too. They think it validates their choice in which they themselves are entirely UNSURE!!!!

  • Boy, this jackass sure has a lot of nice things to say about Islam. He just left out the small details, haha, about how Islam teaches to kill the Infidel (Infidel being ANY non-muslim), he left out how they start training boys at age 3 to be terrorists, how they chop your freakin head off if you abandon the faith. He must have been having a senior moment, just forgetful I'm sure.

  • Dear God, forgive us as Americans for the biggest MAJOR FAIL we have ever committed, on the day we elected a man named HUSSEIN as our president. An evil satanic, deceptive force had taken over the collective mind of America. But we will correct our terrible mistake/misjudgement in 2012. I'll vote for Mickey Mouse if he runs against B. Hussein, I don't care who it is I will vote for anyone to get this deceptive, crack-smoking, bisexual muslim and his family out of our White House.

  • @Bombeni Er, speaking of crack-smoking, did you light up just before posting this?

  • @Bombeni Lmfao, your comment cracked me up.

" Mickey mouse", "crack-smoking", "bisexual", lol!

  • @Universefreedom Well gee thanks universefreedom. I just like to stick to the facts. :)

  • @amor60643 You are crazy. Nothing you say makes sense, but at least you took my advice and are trying to improve your, uh, grammer, lol. (It's spelled GRAMMAR dumbass.) Have you even managed to pass a G.E.D. test? I doubt it; that takes minimal basic knowledge which you do not have. I would bet a thousand dollar bill your ho momma never once told you to sit down and do your homework; she was too busy roaming the streets trading your food stamps for drugs. Your rage is misdirected.

  • @Bombeni GED??? NIGGA PLEASE! YOUR GRAMMAR IS WHAT THEY TEACH MY DAUGHTER. "YOU ARE CRAZY"??? THAT'S YOUR BEST SHOT? PUT UP YOUR THOUSAND DOLLARS RIGHT NOW!! I GOT 2K THAT YOUR EITHER FAT & UGLY OR SICKLY THIN AND UGLY AND YOUR A COMPLETE LOSER.

  • @Bombeni .......but he himself embodies loneliness and fails at not just fantasy sports but at life in general and hides away for months, only to resurface and begin his cycle of cowardice all over again, each summer. (Urban Dictionary

  • @Bombeni TALK TO PEOPLE ABOUT IT , IN GROCERY STORES POST OFFICE ON THE STREET , AMERICANS ARE AFFRAIN TO SAY ANYTHING IN PUBLIC !! most are brainwashed with p.c nonsense, affirmative action is racism , LOOK UP MICHEAL SAVAGE HIS NUMBER 1 BOOK TRICKLE UP POVERTY

  • @oiyabastard I DO IDO , THIS SO SERIOUS

  • @Bombeni be fair to yourselves - you didnt vote for him, he was always getting in, unfortunately the american voting system is clearly corrupted but the american people will sort this out, its not a major fail rather a chance given and not taken - god bless america,

  • Comment removed

  • @Bombeni just like the devil in the desert.... you mean he didnt exist ? eh dont understand, or are you one of these bible bashers - if you are my sympathies go out to you, you may have voted for him but america as a whole, not so sure - he was always getting in to power, he is black and the real powers wanted a black man in especially during the economic mess, so that they could say they had a black man in and look at the mess he made... presidents are puppets, business controls america

  • Comment removed

  • @Bombeni well you know better than me aout wht he has donbe but what i am suggesing is that he was planted there to satisfy the black voters while at the same time being set up as a patsie for the disaster that followed the economic meltdown - the powers that be can only accept a failing black president so that it sets the example of why it cannot happen again - i dont think he is the devil, and i dont see how praying to some mythical sky creature is going to help you in reality but good luck

  • @utrapzab Obama and the Democrats since 2006 have had control. they have spent spent spent. They have handed out money to failing corporations like candy and yet do you see any jobs? Name one thing the stimulus did to improve the economy? Is housing back on track - no. Are you taxes going to go up 1/1/2013 - yes very much so.

  • @MeteorMega 2008.

my taxes arent going up. i live in the uk

  • @Bombeni Don't blame me, I voted for McCain.

  • @rolltideroll388 I voted for Ron Paul - write-in. Maybe people will get smarter this time around and learn the both parties are corrupt and that they actually pick who we will get to vote for. In Minnesota you can register another person to vote without any identification - and the person doesn't even have to be there.

  • @Bombeni LMAO..I couldn't of said it better...Bombeni for vice president 2012

  • @Bombeni ... We already have plenty of Mickey Mouses in our government. They're called the "Tea Party."

  • @emantabrizi No they are called concerned citizens of this country. They consist of people, both white and black, that hate what this country is becoming. We are nation of entitlement fools and people that won't work even if there were jobs. The producers and innovators in this country as still working, but not for long if the losers and lazy keep taking what they earn.

  • @MeteorMega ... Truly concerned citizens wouldn't push this country to the brink of default for absolutely no reason.

  • Islam is the religion of hate! Islam is the religion of terror! Islam is the religion of murder!

  • Some people are just so petty and trite.

  • He's everything: A Christian, a Muslim, a punk Marxist, a Saul Alinsky disciple, a cheat and a liar. And a Kenyan born, and a pervert closet bi-sexual.

There are two things that have to be done on this guy: A blood (DNA) test to determine who the real father is, Obama senior or Frank Marshall Davis; and prove me wrong: I believe he was born in Africa.

  • @JohnHenryReaves Yep not one word of that was true other than the Christian part and probably the liar comment. However, he is a politician and thats par for the course.

You gotta love the born in Africa people. Great litmus test for susing out the uneducated under achievers.

  • @Pick1980a Here is a website that gives the OTHER SIDE of the arguement. Not everything Republicans do is because they are evil hate-mongers and democrats want to save everybody. They way you present it is that all democrats have our best interests at heart. politico(dot)com/news/stories/0810/40516(dot)html

  • @31guitar Politico is a good site: In fact here is the story I spoke about politico(dot)com/news/stories/0810/40689.html. A republican blaming the dems for making the vote a 2/3 as though that excuses them from voting for a bill to help hero's. Hey how about everyone votes on the bill to help some hero's out!

I sure as hell don't think Dem's are perfect & I used to be a huge McCain fan until he completely sold out! I thought Obama would be able to push campaign reform further but he has failed

  • @Pick1980a Well, remember. Democrats obviously voted against it too. And if you read the article (I assume you did), the problem republicans had is paying for it. And I was not surprised that it of course included a tax :-/. But this whole bill sounds like a typical progressive move to me, a cheap political move.

  • @31guitar I suppose the money should have come out of thin fuckin air then. I thought the Republians were all about not adding to the debit.

THOSE FUCKING GUYS ARE DYING FROM EXPOSURE ASSHOLE and who fucking cares if it posturing if it helps those guys out.

Your not interested in helping this country or the people that risk and have risked their lives to make it incredible everyday. Your just interested in your fuckin agenda and how best to serve it. Those guys died for ur fellow Americans!

  • @31guitar HELLO HELLO HELLO

Hero's who risked their lives and health to help their country in a time of need. Naw fuck those guys we can't raise taxes on corporations to pay for them or help pay down the debit!

Obama is not my fucking hero & has let me down but no one has let me down more than you people & your ignorance! Your gonna fuck this entire country up cause your too busy hating people instead of making a progressive plan. If you were in business you would have been fired long ago.

  • he's saying that he is a muslim !!

  • Americans are waking up

    *** Barack Obummer ***

  • Obammy is a closet mooselame !

    watch?v=OzxiHfWvBGw

  • Nice editing job, you could probably work for faux news.

  • 58 people watch too much glen beck.

  • all of you saying "let us stop muslim haters" clearly do not get the grand picture here.

The proximity of this mosque to ground zero really is not the core issue, it is what sparked interest in WHO is building the mosque and WHY.

I am all for religious freedom, but you must understand that there ARE extremists out there and there happen to be many financial+ ties between extremists and members of the US government, and this particular mosque. interestingly enough they can also be tied to 9/11.

  • @99Eternal They are not extremists do your homework. He practices Sufi Islam which is not at all radical.

Ugh I don't wanna speak Mandarin before I hit 40 get your shit together US.

  • @Pick1980a When you say "he" who are you talking about?

More than one person funds this mosque, and how can you be so sure of their true beliefs? I cant be either, just highly suspicious.

And yes, many WEALTHY people go to the US for health care. the majority cannot afford a $200,000 operation in the states even if they saw it coming a decade in advance. Here in Canada we do not worry about that. Yes, we may have to wait couple months, but rarely does that become a problem here. Research it.

  • @99Eternal Where did ya get the stat about Wealthy people going to the US? Stats Can, Forrester Research, Environics, Nielsen Research? Any place credible or did you just pull it out of your ass?

You can be suspicious but without any evidence of any sort your just a douchebag with an opinion. The building plan calls for a Muslim Community Center and the fact that you don't even know that when it is the central point suggests you are not a stickler for detail.

  • @Pick1980a Why did Belinda Stronach, former liberal member of the Canadian Parliament and Cabinet member (one of the health care systems touted as “superior” to the US) abandoned the Canadian Health Care system to undergo her cancer treatment in California?

  • @31guitar First of all Stronach is in no way indicative of the average canadian leader as her father owns Magna and is a billionaire. Bill Gates or Rupert Murdoch would go to the best hospital regardless of where it was, Geneva, London, Berlin etc.

Also 1 politician who bought her way into government does not equate to "numerous world leaders". Chances are if you ever get cancer you will not have enough money to go to that hospital anyway so what does it matter?

  • @Pick1980a Why are you making a money issue out of this? We both agree that the US systen as it was is broken. Companies should not deny care to people because they were born with a problem. That doesn't change the fact that the US has some of the best hospitals, research facilities, and doctors in the world

  • @31guitar Because it is free vs paid healthcare retard. You pay way more for less.

  • @Pick1980a Lol, you people keep saying free healthcare, which is kind of funny. There is no such thing as "free" healthcare. Btw, you also pay more for better quality. How much in taxes do you pay in healthcare? I know people in some European countries pay at least 50% of their income in healthcare alone.

  • @31guitar "Canada also ranks above the OECD average in terms of total health spending per capita, with spending of $4,079 USD in 2008, compared with an OECD average of $3,060 USD. Health spending per capita in Canada remains nonetheless much lower than in the United States (which spent 7,538 USD per capita in 2008), Norway, and Switzerland."

    Reference: oecd.org

  • @31guitar European countries do not pay 50% of their income in health care. Stop watching Glen Beck and do a little research. 50% Jesus how fucking gullible are you? Some European nations do have a high tax rate but no one and I mean no one pays 50% of their income to Health Care alone!

I bet you think the moon landing was faked!

Try going to the OECD site which is an impartial international organization. They don't give a fuck about any American agenda and just report the facts as they are.

  • @Pick1980a No, I'm pretty sure it was Germany I think that paid up to 50% in healthcare taxes. Btw, I know the moon landing was real. The mythbusters did a whole episode on it ;-). An "impartial international organization"? Enough said. Again, I'm not arguing spending or money problems. I was arguing quality. How the hell did we get into a healthcare debate on this video anyway?

  • @31guitar If you are single and earning the national average then you pay around 51% tax. However, that money supports an immense social system and not just health care. A Canadian with same attributes only pays 31% where an American pays 29% which is not that big of a difference when you consider how much i get of my extra 2%.

We got on this cause you brought it up and because it is all a part of this retarded tea party platform that relies ignorance more than facts.

  • @31guitar I am sure your not a bad guy but you have to look at what is really going on in your country and not let people tell you what is going on.

Last week or the week before Republicans voted down a bill that would cover 9/11 workers health issues because the bill would have paid for it by closing a loophole that allowed corporations to avoid paying US taxes on their earnings. Isn't that more fucking outrageous than this? Thanks for risking your life but you are on your own now!

  • @Pick1980a I don't recall hearing about that bill. But that is messed up, and no doubt republicans are out to take care of their businesses. But is there a down side to the bill that you didn't mention? Probably, if most democrats wanted it. Both parties are corrupt. I haven't denied that the system was broken.

  • @31guitar Your comment is more revealing than almost anything else you have posted. You assume Republicans had your best interests in mind when they voted down the bill. The country is so polarized that no one can get anything done!

I bet most of them think we should help 9/11 workers but want to get re-election money more.

Again what's worse a community center in NYC or abandoning the 9/11 works for corporations who do not want to pay their share?

  • @Pick1980a I don't assume anything. The only assumption I'm making is that there are both sides to the arguement, and you only gave one, therefore, I don't want to fully trust what you say before I hear the other side of the arguement. The country is polarized. The founders warned about this but knew it was inevitable. As for whats worse, I would say the Islamic mosque, because if they build that, everything those 9/11 workers did is for nothing.

  • @31guitar I don't think a majority of workers would think that. Even Bush would be behind religious freedom! Remember stem cell research? Wonder where health care would be now if the worlds richest country had backed that.

And if you think letting hero's that assisted your country in a time of need die is worse than offending some ignorant people who can't tell the difference between a mosque and a community center and don't live in NYC then your missing the point entirely!

  • @Pick1980a Its a mosque too. It has a prayer room. Which makes is a mosque as well. In my opinion, letting these radicals celebrate their victory in New York by building the mosque is a clear slap in the face to those heros who risked their lives!

  • @31guitar The airport and hospital have prayer rooms! Are they FUCKIN CHURCHES? MORON

So your saying its cool if the people who are still alive die because you wanna believe all muslims are radical without a shred of proof.

Dude your a fuckin moron and I done with this conversation. Have a great life!

I am gonna go learn mandarin cause people like you are gonna fuck this country

    Hate ain't a strategy

  • @Pick1980a Hospitals aren't fucking christian cultural centers. Stop reading liberal talking points. Never once did I say all muslims are radical. Never once did I say I didn't want to help those 9/11 heros. You are the hate monger! You hate anybody who has a slightly different opinion than you. You go off on these rants about shit that I didn't even imply. your progressive ideology got us in this mess in the first place. You're what they like to call, a "useful idiot"

  • @31guitar If there was ever a case of "projecting"... My god your it!

Your position on the 9/11 health care is what then? You wanna help them but not fucking pay for them? Or you will pay for them but not force corporations to pay for it? Which is it?

You know where the facts are, you know which site to go to, you can get all the facts so do it and come back with an answer. An EDUCATED ANSWER based on the facts. Whatever you opinion is is fine but base it on the facts.

  • @Pick1980a Should a man in Minnesota have to pay more taxes for someone to get care who only may have been connected to 9/11? The bill is very open to abuse and fraud. You know how they can compensate these people? Pay for it with some of the 366 billion dollars remaining from the stimulus, instead of taxing foreign companies who hire Americans, and giving Americans who can barely put bread on the table and don't live near NYC to bear the burden. I would support a smaller program...

  • @31guitar Corporations Corporations Corporations Not some guy from Minnesota. It's only been in every post about this topic.

By that logic Louisiana should have foot the bill for Katrina? P.S. I love how you plant the seed of doubt about whether the people had anything to do with 9/11. No Proof.

Also in case you didn't know the stimulus $'s are dreived from National taxes, so if you use it, it just adds to the national debit. Just a little economics 101 for you. Or Math 101 really.

  • @Pick1980a The problem is this bill could've passed, if democrats weren't so stubborn, they made is a suspension bill, requiring 2/3 vote because they didn't want republicans to add a couple of amendments that probably would've saved some money and a couple of jobs. This is an attempt from republicans to say NO to anything dems do, and it was clearly an attempt by dems to create a slush fund program. Partisan politics across the board at play here.

  • @31guitar I really don't understand how the 2/3 stragety excuses people from voting to help 9/11 hero's. (Or perhaps not in your case! I bet they are all Illegal Alien Muslims! Lets just say inflamitory things without any proof at all! Perhaps they were Nazi loving Muslims?)

Either you are ok with taking money from corporations for 9/11 workers or your not. Your obviously not.

Thats fine at least your honest about it FINALLY!

I think that put your and your views into perspective.

  • @Pick1980a I don't see how you don't understand that the bill would raise our taxes, raise debt, be full of waste and fraud cases. If democrats would've allowed maybe some compromise, the bill would've been passed. You clearly don't understand this was a political game played by the Progressive democrats, which you've obviously fallen for. My question is, why did some democrats vote against it?

  • @31guitar WOW agian the bill was going to use taxes from C-O-R-P-O-R-A-T-I-O-N-S (lets see if he gets it?).

Read the Politico articles on the issue, read what the actual issues were! You had the link, you had the website which would tell you all the facts & yet here we are agian with you wondering about fraud cases & "waste" eventhough nothing on politico would suggest that that was even an issue! I could & have quoted you facts & still no penetration.

Whatever, listen have a nice life.

  • @Pick1980a Because maybe I like to look at other news sources other than politico. I dont know what you do, but its pretty clear you limit yourself to one opinion.

  • @31guitar LOL your the one who recommended the site FUCKFACE! I remember providing & citing more than one source. Ur realize that they do not erase our posts, there is plenty of evidence. I would also remind you that you have not cited anything on this issue aside from your opinion.

Listen I get it you are not interested in residing a tax loophole for corporations to fund health care for 9/11 responders. I also get they you would be unwilling to incur any extra cost to pay for them.

  • @Pick1980a I get it too. I get you want to waste money, increases taxes, lose jobs. You want to collapse the system, just like Obama. Instead of compromising, you want to call names and engage in this partisan shit. You are a pawn for the democrats, or shall I say the progressives who are looking to destroy this country

  • @31guitar Not sure where all that came from! No proof as usual.

I love how progressive has become dirty word.

If you check my comments in on other video's you would find me to be extremely anti-union, anti spending, pro bank regulation, Pro bail out for automotive companies (provided there where cuts), Pro freedom of speech (no matter what is said), Pro Capitalist (If only you knew what I did for a living), Anti-censorship, an atheist and anti army but pro vet (less testing, more equip)

  • @Pick1980a You are pro bail out and pro capitalist? How does that one work? You're anti-army? Would u rather we dont defend ourselves against muslim extremists. Everything you said about yourself backs up what I said you are, and you are very contradicting. Pro bank regulation, pro bail out, but anti-spending and anti-union? How does that work? Well whatever, I'm done with "useful idiots" such as yourself

  • @31guitar Easy, I am a pragmatist. I am for what works & I don't subscribe to one side or the other because they are often both wrong. Pro bank regulation has nothing to do with capitalism. Your an absolutist; you see things in black & white, I believe the world is grey.

Bailing out a company is not socialism, owning one is. And spending millions on weapons programs which are obsolite instead of giving equipt to the people in the field and paying down the debit is insane.

  • @Pick1980a that's why we have bankruptcy laws in place. the unions made out on the GM deal. period.

  • @TrishtheDishNY That's a comment which smacks of a person who knows nothing about the subject or the industry.

Your right the situation is black and white and no more complicated than chapter in a grade 12 Business Text Book!

  • @31guitar The car industry for instance: Obama required GM to cut brands & jobs in order to be more competitive. The suppliers which make parts for GM also make parts for Ford, Chrysler, Toyota etc. & would have also suffered great losses. It's a little more complicated than sink or swim.

How much would have cost to put all those people on E.I.? VS lending them money which will be paid back. To me that sounds like a better ROI. Good business decision.

The banks we should have hammered.

  • @Pick1980a Nissan came out with a car similar to the Chevy Volt. The Nissan leaf goes 40 more miles on electricity and costs almost 10,000 dollars less. The difference is Nissan isn't under government control. Ford did not recieve a bailout. They didn't go under. Bailing out irresponsible companies is a waste of our tax dollars. It is very much anti-capitalist. It doesn't allow for FAILURE. Thats the whole point of the market.

  • @31guitar You obviously don't know anything about the automotive industry because Nissan was bailed out in 99 when they were near bankruptcy & before the Renault deal. Keiretsu’s allow for the existence of companies that simply do not make a profit. It’s part of why their economy has been stagnant. 2nd the battery is inferior to GM’s & the car does not have a gas engine to extend range beyond the electric. So ur paying not to be stuck on the highway & not to replace the batteries 5 years in.

  • @Pick1980a I'm talking about Nissan being bailed out recently, not in 99. How is the battery inferior when it goes 100 miles on electricity, and GM's only goes 60 miles on elecricity. You dno't understand that all the money being spent on bailouts has to be paid for by our future generations? I think the bailing them out will end up costing us more than if they went under, but thats just me.

  • @31guitar 4th time i have had to say this. It is an insanely simple concept!

IF THEY REPAY THE LOAN, HOW DID YOU LOSE MONEY?

    1) If I loan you $100 (or $1000 for that matter) to get back on your feet and you pay me back a year later

    VS

    2) I don't help let you go bankrupt and now I have to pay for your food, your rent, and general living expenses for say the next 2 years.

Which is better for YOU financially?

Its your money what do you wanna do?

  • @Pick1980a Ok, you are going on the assumption that they will pay the government back soon and not need any bailouts in the future. Hopefully thats true, highly unprobable since most economists are calling for a double dip recession, and the requirements for the Hindenberg Omen were just recently met. Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac are perfect examples. Two extremely irresponsible companies that keep taking bailouts, and keep losing money. they are examples of our money being wasted.

  • @31guitar They are paying the government back IDIOT GM is putting forward their IPO in a few weeks so the fed can sell off a majority of their holdings in the company. It will likely be one of the biggest IPO's ever!

Most are not calling for a double dip recession and GM is nowhere near as fragile as it was a year ago.

Few people are this arrogant without the knowledge.

Also I remember saying i was pro bank regulation didn't I?

  • @Pick1980a we lost freedom by allowing these socialist/marxist/communists in office to bail out public companies with private taxpayer money. it sets a bad precedent.

  • @TrishtheDishNY Yet another comment which isolates you as an individual who has never been to an actual socialist country.

Pretzel logic? Let me guess you learned that at Harvard Business School, no Booth or Tuck?

I have to admit I can't see how lowering your overhead and eliminating product lines which cannibalize each others sales could possibly improve a business.

    Buddy PICK UP A BOOK!

  • @Pick1980a what are you talking about?! competition is healthy in business. it leaves choices as well as lower costs to the consumer. to everything there is a season, including business. there's a reason why they fail, and they should be allowed to do so so that they (and/or the government) can learn from their mistakes. that's the problem with socialism...the government plays God with everything from people to businesses to its own mistakes.

  • @TrishtheDishNY

Wow you really have no fucking clue what your are talking about.

If the banks had been allowed to fail we would be in a depression right now. research the 1930's would ya.

I despise stupid elementary people who think they are smart. I can handle people who have a different viewpoint who are educated but your comments reveal how little you know about commerce. Do yo even know what Tuck is?

And Actually I am American living in Canada for work. I grew up outside Allentown Penn

  • @Pick1980a i'm not certain exactly what would have happened if the banks were allowed to fail do you? in any event i was responding to your post about the GM bailout which was illegal for a few reasons: (1) that congress gave authority to treasury department to do so which they do not have the authority and (2) because they overlooked paying the bondholders. and i think people who resort to insults, name-calling and cussing in their conversations are childish and can't be taken seriously.

  • @TrishtheDishNY Your the one who brought up my citizenship so I answered the question and I have lived for a year in Norway which is socialist which makes me more qualified than you to speak about what socialism is and is not.

Lastly, the 1930's which i suggested you read about gives a half way decent example of what happens when there is a run on the banks. And I fail to see how bailing out GM or the banks is any different? By your logic these are both examples of bad gov't intervention.

  • @Pick1980a and so now youre an authority on socialism because you're an American living in Canada? great! so stay there!

  • @Pick1980a ...and let me guess--you've never lived in America.

  • @31guitar Your really are linear in ur thinking & it is obvious you read one line into my posts or choose to forget them all together because I have answered many of the questions you are asking. 1) Ford didn't go under because their suppliers didn't go under because GM was saved. Mulally said that himself. 2) The gov’t would have spent more on unemployment assistance to all the GM & supplier employees that have been put out of work than simply lending them the money which will be returned.

  • @31guitar

Your better off keeping people in their jobs if the company is viable because you will spend a great deal more when you have to subsidize their entire lives. GM is doing that right now not us.

    It’s a pretty simple concept

I as a tax payer save more money if GM and Chrysler exists because then my Taxes don’t go to welfare!

It may not be the strictest view of capitalism but in my version I save more money. Again Grey vs Black and White.

  • @Pick1980a I'm sorry, I made a mistake. Upon doing further research on the two cars. The GM car only goes 40 miles on electricity, and they claim it has I think it said 240 mpg. Nissan, using the same formula GM used, calculated their mpg to be 367, on an all electric car. O, and the Leaf is expected to cost 25,000. and the Volt 40,000.

  • @31guitar OOOOk

For starters you can not calculate MPG if the car does not have a gasoline engine. Second I think I mentioned that you are paying NOT TO STOP ON HE SIDE OF THE HIGHWAY when there is no more juice and NOT TO REPLACE THE BATTERY AFTER it has run it's course (2nd time i said that). Also weight has more to do with the range and if you have an engine it obviously adds weight. The leaf could not be use in the suburbs whereas the Volt can. Which is a bigger car market? THINK JESUS!!!

  • @Pick1980a Idk what Jesus has to do with this. I know you can't have mpg on an all electric car, so basically Nissan showed GM calculations are a joke. Btw, How many of us would drive the car knowing the battery was low? In my opinion, the leaf will do better on the market. Save money, and in the long run, the global warming freaks will be raving about an all electric car. I think the main difference is the fact that Nissan came out with an all electric car, while GM has just another hybrid

  • @31guitar GM DEVELOPED A CAR WITH A GAS ENGINE FUCKTARD! GAS ENGINE. IF YOU PUT A GALLON OF GS IN THAT CAR HOW FAR WILL IT GO? HOLY FUCKING CHRIST YOUR STUPID!!!!

SECONDLY, How many people own or purchase cars in the city and how many live in the suburbs? Why would I develop a product for a niche audience when I could go mass and make more?

I hope to Christ you work in a profession that does not require any form of Accounting or Business theory because you do not have an aptitude for it.

  • @Pick1980a Ok, you obviously aren't getting what I'm trying to say, so I'll just leave it alone.

  • @31guitar NO YOUR STUPID

"Hey I got a solar powered car that gets 100mpg. Yeah I dump 2 gallons of gasoline on the seats and then i can drive it for 200miles." WTF?????

You can only base that calculation on the cost of the oil or the energy each machine expends per mile. Either way it is not an apples to apples comparison.

And its 100 miles per charge & once it is done it 20hrs to recharge fully on a conventional plug. autoblog()com/2010/07/27/2011-nissan-leaf-first-drive-road-test-review/

  • @Pick1980a it's all a smokescreen to make you think corporations/banks=bad...government=good.

how does making GM cut brands and jobs make them more competitive? that sounds like pretzel logic to me. like spending trillions to avoid a bankrupt country.

  • @31guitar You assume that because some Canadians go to the US that your care is somehow better in quality.

please keep in mind that, the disadvantage of the CDN system is sometimes having to wait in line. Understandably, CDNS who can afford to go to the US (again, majority cannot) are able to avoid this wait time.

You are literally sitting there showing how your US healthcare system prefers wealthy foreigners over your own citizens that cant afford care. You brag about this. ignorant maybe?

  • @Pick1980a There is no stat, simply common knowledge, that the average Canadian citizen cannot afford to go to the USA for healthcare, nor do we need/want to lol. We are fine with the care we currently have, you'll find Americans complain about it more than Canadians (ignorance to blame yet again).

It is you people who keep mentioning wealthy CDNs who go to the US, not me! I don't know of anyone making under 100,000 that could afford to go down there.

Statistics are not necessary my friend.

  • @99Eternal I think we are making the same point but the way your post was worded suggested that you were saying that all wealthy Canadians went to the US for health care.

A number of other people in this comment section have been make statements that have no basis in fact. I assumed you were another one of them.

  • ATTENTION WORLD!!! BAN THE KORAN

For 1400 yrs the Q'uran has been a force for oppression, censorship, gender inequality, gross overt fascism, war and murder in the name of Islam.

    We can FIGHT ISLAM!!

ISLAM and the Q'URAN are IN DIRECT VIOLATION OF TREASON, SEDITION, INSURRECTION, INCITEMENT TO MURDER LAWS and various clauses of The UNITED STATES CONSTITUTION.

Umayr removed the suckling babe and then plunged his sword into the poet. The next morning in the mosque, Muhammad, who was aware of the assassination, said, 'You have helped Allah and His Apostle.' Umayr said. 'She had five sons; should I feel guilty?' 'No,' the Prophet answered. 'Killing her was as meaningless as two goats butting heads.'"

  • @GentleIslam Wow quite a story about bloody horny old Mo. I've come full circle on Bush bombing the hell out of the middle east. For awhile I thought oh great he has really stirred a hornet's nest. But it needed stirring. The muslim world aims to destroy us all (infidels). But we will be ready for them next time. We stopped Hitler in his tracks. We stopped Japan in their tracks. I'm all for a bombing raid across the entire middle east now; time to get their attention.

  • Scary.

  • What a great and clear example of the american simple way of thinking.

You allow a mosque, you are not white, we have not see your birth certificate (as we all have seen each other´s)... Then, it is clear, you are a muslim.

    Monkeys.

  • I bet he will be off to Kenya within 24 hours of losing the presidency, resume training as an imam and sell American state secrets to enemy muslim groups and countries. Preach hate about America and its allies, hate about the Christian religion and joke about the lies during his time in office. Hell as the 'holy' koran tells him he may even take up flying lessons.

  • Yikes. Wrong place to show reason and hospitality. Everyone here is a xenophobic bigot. As you were.

  • @chrisklecker Yup, go back to your savior. Better yet, get out of your moms basement and get a job. Im quite sick of paying for your welfare check

  • Islamism is a cancer on all civilized societies!

  • Please provide sources so Americans can judge for themselves... thanks

  • You people are SHEEP that buy into everything your talk radio and news anchors tell u to believe.

Most republicans will never make more than $250,000 a year, could definatly use cheaper health care & a majority of the benefits Democrat bills attempt to put in place. Unfortunately most americans never look into laws or programs & just listen to people who will say anything to stay in or regain power.

This includes both parties mind you but republicans seem less inclined to do the research.

  • @Pick1980a Actually, most, if not all research is showing a soon increase in healthcare costs for business big and small. Maybe you need to do the research

  • @31guitar Naw I use more than one source and reference; well the rest of the world. Seems to me that every other Western country has managed to sustain and implement health care without going bankrupt. For instance Canada has Health Care and survived the recession and has an economy which is 10 times more stable than the US's. The question really is how much does it cost America as a whole. And if you are not making $250,000 plus and need a heart transplant like my uncle your shit out of luck!

  • @Pick1980a Canada has horrible healthcare. In the US, we get better treatment, and quicker treatment than any other country. Why else do most world leaders come here for healthcare? I agree that the system is broken, but Obamacare is going to drive up prices, as every business is predicting
