  • Can't ruin a good song, apparently. The Clash version is badass, and yet this original has a vocal line that is melodic.

  • The drummer in this is my uncle :)

  • I think The Clash's cover's better, but that still rocks!!!

  • REAL BRITISH TEDDY BOY MUSIC. LONG LIVE THE TEDS

  • Teenage Head do a great version of this. Brings me back...

  • LOL!

  • @jeffstunes Cool, please say hello from Sweden and tell him that he was/is a part of rock'n roll history and we love him for that.

  • @swedefirebird70

I passed on you message. He drummed with other bands too such as Georgie fame and the Blue flames and the Everly brothers. He told me that he toured with the Everly's in the 60's and one of their stops was Copenhagen.

  • So Strummer did come up with the "Balls to your Back" line. That makes the tune...

  • Like crazy, dad!

has a few ghosts boppin around.

the premises cater for a more executive clientle now

    they were indeed fine days,

  • único e inigualable!

  • One of the few songs written by Vince. A true classic of R'n'R. Vince was extraordinary & wild on stage with his superb musicians The Playboys. Many artists have sung this song later and some penned their names on it. The first group to steal that song and have success with it were The Shamrocks in 1964 in a slower version and called it "Cadillac". A good version but they had no shame in pretending they wrote it.

  • We had a group here in Sweden called The Hep Stars that made a version of this song that vent to a great succes for them. But no version can beat the orginial version by Vince Taylor

  • @swedefirebird70 I dunno. I think The Clash does a particularly intense version of Brand New Cadillac.

  • Vince Taylor was in 1962 more famous than Elvis in France. Vince was the true King of Rock and Roll. You may have that other rubbish.

    Vince 4 Ever!

  • VINCE KING FOREVER !!!!!!!!!!!

  • viva Joe Strummer!

    Driiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiive

  • yeah i know is rockabilly but the riff is totally great. Happy punk bands should heard this.
