  • This is amazing!

  • I want one of these so bad, but I probably wouldn't be able to play as good as this :/

  • Molto bene! I play melodica myself, and you have some solid technique. :)

  • wheni saw the thumb nail i was like "sum guy found 2 other people that play pianica too??" then i watched and the scales are now balanced.

  • As er would say in Danish: langt ude!!:)

  • You're most awesomest EVER!

  • Totally awesome! Just got myself a melodica and found this. Thanks!

  • Excellent. Thank you.

  • Genius....genius of epic proportions, sir. I tip my hat to you. Hell, I take my hat off to you! Well done!

  • Waawww... GREATTTTTT!!! I just love it :D hugsssss

  • Well done! Bach himself would have appreciated your genius!

  • Bravo

  • cojonudo !!!!!....bravo!!!

  • props to you, man.

  • You should get shirts with a picture of the instrument on it, so you can wear a violin shirt for recording the violin parts, a shirt with a cello on it for the cello parts, etc. I think that would be pretty neat!

  • @EthanDavidson That is a great idea.

  • You are my hero.

  • @JulietGrabowski Thanks, Juliet. I recognize your name from the BYSO alum pages. I am also a former BYSO clarinettist. Small world, huh.

  • @JamesHowardYoung - wow, I had no idea. What a small world! I guess great minds think alike ...

  • I have never seen this instrument! I like

  • Floored!!! I've heard many versions of this, and must stay this is the most original. You really pulled it off, BRAVO!!!!

  • xD

  • Great!!

  • fantastically great! you made a simple instrument great honour. noble is all of bach music in any shape and colour! congratulations to you and your work.

  • This is wonderful! The musicality and articulation are first rate. The Brandenburg concertos are all wonderful compositions and I hope this will encourage people to do the same with all of them...

  • Outstanding! Excellent job.

  • jaw: on the floor.

  • cool.

  • My favourite bit at 3:28 and it sounds just like it should!

  • Just superb!

  • Youre fantastic, man! Great job!

  • the amount of views this video has is just beyond disappointing. my god.. this is really really really really kickass.. were you sight reading or did you have the parts memorized?

  • @sowhat123 I can tell from time to time he's staring downwards at something, so he's probably reading the parts to help him keep track with the other parts he's playing.

  • schön gemacht und ..... juhuu ich war der 5000 ste Seher!

  • @stelzvogel Danke! (und Glückwünsche :)

  • It's excellent!!!

    I loved it!

    From Argentina!!! :)

  • bravo! fantastico!!!!!

  • Haha!!! Well done :)

  • you move the head and body acording to the type of music you are playing. Cool-

  • Awesome!

  • How on earth does this vid only have 3000 views?!?

Your obviously not tagging or marketing it right - because this is pure genius and far better than most other musical vids on youtube. Great deal of respect for your setting this all up must of taken a while.

Keep up the great work :)

  • Wow... that must have taken a lot of effort.

  • Holy Shit... this is perfect.. just perfect.

  • braaavoooo

  • This just made me smile and smile and smile till my face hurt. I grew up with this piece performed by W Carlos late 60's. Some of the articulation is familiar. Fantastically done.

Now I would like to hear the last movement :-) that would be doubly cool!

    Keep up the great work.

    Simon

  • @simonpearce1966 Thank you for your comments. I did the 3rd movement a while back, it was one of the first videos I did. You can see it at: watch?v=Gs5DNHlnU8I

  • The dude needs to stop playing the mouth organ and get back to the texturing and painting of that room.

  • :D lol hilarious ^^ But i'm really impressed ^^

  • Toll! Die gute Idee überhaupt und perfekte Realisation!

  • Cool bro.

  • purely genious... :) thanks

  • AWESOME

  • A harmonica with keys! Hey, maybe I could play that! Don't have the wind though. There are musicians, and then there are guys this who defy the commonly held definition of "musician." Building his own music room, clearly has a handle on video editing, seems to be a computer geek, and he's an astonishing "musician" to boot. Geniuses. I feel so inadequate right now! LOL.

  • Bravo!

  • Brilliant!!!!! Encore! What model melodicas are those?

  • Thanks! Pro 37 v.2 Alto and B-34 Bass by Suzuki.

  • Congratulations! Nice sound... Wonderful experience.

  • That was wonderful! You deserve more hits.

  • Wonderful!

  • Amazing!

  • I'm speechless... I do similar crazy things in private, but this is way beyond anything I could have dreamed of...

    Great!!

  • An astonishing achievement :) Bravo!

Can we have the four-harpsichord concerto (arrangement of Vivaldi) soon? :)

  • Thanks, Marshall. That's a great idea, I'll probably do it next since I am missing a concerto movement. I'll maybe do the last movement since it's in 3 and I only have one of those so far.

  • I was quietly wondering what you were going to do for the middle movt of Brandenburg 3... ;)

  • Skip it!

  • Actually the smart thing would have been to do it then include a link to the final movement. But I also upload these to Facebook, which doesn't support annotations yet.

  • Hehehehe! A nice idea, but you've got those two figured chords to deal with :) Not tempted to make a nice melodica cadenza over them? :)))

  • Je-sus Christ...
