Its only a four cylinder? Its only the four angriest cylinders ever. I reeeally want to get a four banger stang' and build up the motor with SVO aftermarket turbos and the like. Just becouse no one wants a four cyl mustang cept' me
@xsonz2 it might be cheaper to find a wrecked svo and swap the motor. there is just way too much rebuilding to make a n/a 2.3 turbo worthy, especially if you plan on any other mods and anything more than low boost. i lucked into one on craigslist and i live in the middle of nowhere so it shouldn't be TOO difficult to find
Dude that sounds so good for a 2.3 OHC I wonder y that sounds so good ive been thinking and mabey u can help me out thinking bout buying a 1984 Capri rs turbo he told me there was 1300 made 40xxx miles on motor and trans but interior needs restoring runs strong and lots of aftermarket parts for it all for 1500 so wat do u think o and is there a difference between the svo and the capri turbo???
Thanks man! That capri sounds great for the price. I got my svo for $2000 and it needed a new paint job with some minor work to the engine as well as the interior. From what I know, I don't think theres much of a difference from the two. I would have bought a capri or an svo depending on which I found first. Hope this helps, and let me know if you happen to buy the Capri :).
@Nitrider73 that is an excellent price for an 84 turboRS. Even fewer of those were made than the SVO, and in my opinion they are the nicest capri made in those years.
not to mention the 2.3 turbo has some amazing potential.
hey dude ! I'm your age and i just bought an 81 2.3l turbo mustang w/ 4g. standard gearbox... pretty cool ! Lil spark problem and a leakin rad, I'll fix it very soon (since I dont wanna drive it like this)... Always start RIGHT up, even when cold... gotta love it. And I¨m a Chevy fan^^
Nice! These turbo 2.3s are great, especially when you turn the boost higher and flip the premium switch and reach 3000 rpm haha its crazy. You gonna post up any vids on yours yet?
Well I wont mod this car since it's my daily, and I aint got that much money, and I gotta fix my Chevy Astro, so gotta spare !!! I bought this Mustang last friday, I¨m gonna take pictures and make a vid of it this afternoon, I¨ll post it, asap ! I'll keep you informed ! Cheers !
@Noejr10 hey i got a question. i'm doing an engine swap from an 85.5 turbo coupe to my 93 four banger. just swapping the whole engine. what do u mean by the premium switch? how does it work and do i NEED one?

That is a flowmaster. Did you mean to say a different one?
Noejr10 3 years ago
Sorry I meant the Dynomax instead of the flowmasters :p
