This movie gets treated unfairly. I mean, think about its story: Its about a princess kidnapped by a kingdom of dinosaurs interested in consequence, and the efforts of two plumbers to save her, by going through an underground pipe.

It even has MNUS WORLD (the 'infinite' desert they land in.)

Really, this movie is everything a game movie should be. Nothing that makes newer video game movies stupid is present. And it actually follows the plot, such as it is.

Even though, I remember being a kid and being soooo excited because of a Mario movie that no matter how it was going to turn out I was still going to watch it.... and I did!

@etherraichu true. it is actually a decent movie considering it was made out of an video game, and the main complain, it is because it's not accurate to the games, but hell, no one went apeshit when Jackson changed 90% of the story on LOTR, i mean, you gotta agree that there is no plot holes, they did their best to make the movie make sense, and the characters are well developed, it is just an overhated, underrated and forgotten movie.

@etherraichu Oh, besides the fact that Mario is more like Luigi's father in this, there's no Peach, Mario makes out with this really ugly lady, Bowser (King Koopa) isn't a dragon thing, there are no real action scenes the Goombas look nothing like they do in the games. If you're going to make a game based on the biggest gaming mascots of all time, you should put some effort to make sure you're sticking to the source material.
