it has windows live messenger built in, but AIM you would have to go on the mobile aim website and download it on the phone which of course it is free (same goes for yahoo). now carriers, all i know is that the unlocked versions work with At&T and T-mobile, i really don't know @ this point to whether it works with every carriers becasue i happen to have this phone and it works flawlessly with T-mobile.

yes it is in the USA, but there are companies that will get the phone STRAIGHT from the HTC factory I.e Ebay and etc, but be prepared to spend alot. plus they're unlocked so they work for certain GSM carries, like mee i have 1 and it works with T-mobile FLAWLESSLY. so idk about the other carriers. AT&T is another 1 that works too

There are advantages and disadvantages for either this and the iPhone. I guess big disadvantages for me with iPhone are the 2MP camera, and also lack of MMS (without 3rd party software). Storage is the main advantage.

I am not bagging either handset, but the HTC looks really nice :)
