  • 1:43 ROFL

  • he is singing "pretty maids - sin decade"...

  • Chucky! <3

  • damn his eyes are gorgous. i cant stop looking into ghem

  • This movie is so under appreciated it's criminal. "It's the smiles that keep us going. The bits of giggles and good cheer."

  • I had no idea brad was in this! I adore him. now I gotta watch the movie : )

  • When he starts singing....creepy!

  • I only came here to post this comment.Chucky.Nuff said.

  • @adshield Beat me to it.

  • This is the best and the only worthy sequel to the Exorcist. Although I hope someday they release the original version of Blatty's film. It's too bad that all the Exorcist sequels have a history of being finished the way they were intended then having the studio destroy the final product.

  • IMO The most compelling actor of the 20th century.

  • HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH

  • he should have been the joker.

  • @xxMisterJxx my thoughts exactly!

  • man, i never caught on that this was him. it doesnt even really sound like him haha.

  • Can anyone Plz tell me what is the song at 0:40 and who is the singer ?

    Ty :D

  • omg who the hell would think that the creepy guy singing is beautiful. it freaked me out. i thought he was possessed and sounded like a woman singing. weird, but freaky.

  • @Armaguile I know right! But he's like really good..

  • Exorcist III-One of the most highly underated horror films in American cinema. In fact, Ive enjoyed all the follow up films of The Exorcist. Each movie holds its own in it's own right! I even adore II..even tho it's hippy-dippy, freakey-deakey psychadelic?...Anyway, back to III-Great casting and a Great follow up of part 1...Outstanding story with great suprises and dialouge throught the plot! If Exorcist III were a woman I'd marry it...Then take her directly to see Max Von Sydow for a "visit"

  • From 0:40 to 0:54, WHAT IS THAT? I seriouly want to know. It sounds so beautiful. if anyone can tell me, I'd very much appreciate it.

  • this guy would been a better joker who agrees?

  • @Maskedheroful He probably would have been a good joker, but Nicholson still nailed it in1988! Dourif is a great actor though.

  • @Lennon4ever1 oh yeah most definatly these two actors kick ass XD !

  • @Maskedheroful

he will be the best if he do it

  • Is it just me, or at 1:22 does Brad Dourif actually look like Tom Hanks!?

  • I didn't even realize there were tears running down his face the entire time.

  • hes amazing i love him <3

  • He plays the KKK cop in Mississippi Burning

  • Damn, it’s insane how good he was here.

  • no tienes la pelicula en español latino?

  • 2 people got posseseds by teh devil

  • 4:05 Epic bitch slap :)

  • Just goes to show that the right actor in the right role can scare people more than just relying on jump scares and gore.

  • @Ghostbait1 Damn straight

  • the role of Brad Dourif scariest I've ever seen

  • He would not win award simply because he not a a list actor.

  • @TheWhoLive73 It swhouldn't matter if he isn't a a listed actor he still shoulda won he should be a top actor he is a billion times more talented then tom scifi cruse

  • That's true. True actors are those who enjoy their craft for the love of it as opposed to those who thrive on the Oscar. Heath Ledger loved his work but I guess he wanted the Oscar just to have it.

  • it' a WONDERFULL!!! life infact for some

  • brad makes ledger look like noob lol

  • thats creepy 0:45

  • That is riveting! was uncomfortable and angry the whole way through...which i guess is what the scene is ment to do. Great writing, performance and direction imo

  • What is he singing at 0:40 - 0:54

  • @hannabeth32

    this, i want to know

  • @PickYourVenom I know. Isn't it annoying when you hear something great but you don't know whar it's called.

  • incredible scene. way too underrated movie, one of the best psychological horrors ever made.

  • He's been in Lord Of The Rings,The Halloween Remake and the voice of Chucky he is a GOD

  • He woulda been a good joker too, because he has both the sense of humor and sinister attitude.

  • the gemini killer is my favorite type of murderer he is random with his sayings

  • yep that's chucky alright

  • Zodiac Lves and wishes you a happy life, whats left of it that is.... Now then , lets discuss how 200,000 little fuckers simply disappear into the void each year, sold to rich gooks for sex slaves, or sacrificed at the Bohemian Club each late July, or homeless scooped up by fema and brought to a work/death camp in Bulgaria...The fun has just begun....What do you do for fun. Best prepare for the fun & games, cos it hasn't even started yet......666....ha...ha...ha

  • WHACK!!!............Oooo, a few boos from the audience. It's okay. I understand. I've been dull. Well, I shall liven things up a little bit Lieutenant!! Funny and frightening at the same time! Love this movie!

  • lmao Brad Dourif's song sounds remarkably similar to Pippin's song in Lord of the Rings.

  • @BaremyiahZ wait, are you suggesting that while pippin is singing Grima Wormtoung is off seranading sauruman?

  • A+ Cast

    A+ writing

    A+ Acting

Doesn't get any better than this !

  • @10stringmaster How about direction?

  • @Mintsauce27 great direction to !!

  • @10stringmaster Just Checkin' :)

  • does anyone know what song hes singing?

  • One of the most chilling and otherworldly performances ever. If the devil could ever inhabit a man, this is what it would look like. This haunted me for days.

  • in almost every movie i've seen with him in it. he plays a creepy psycho lol. that's why he's great though :].

  • does anyone know the song that damien sang in the movie?

  • One of my Favorite Actors. He should have won an award for this performance.

  • @GESSO217 And every other he has done. Brad Dourif is a GREAT and UNDERRATED actor.

  • @GESSO217 The whole cast and crew deserve awards. It is a great movie.

  • what's that stuff that brad starts singing? what would you call that? it's kinda creepy I like it

  • @gonzo99x Gregorian chant.

  • 3:13 on sounds just like chucky. love his voice

  • @dumpedcorolla so do i. i'm glad to know i'm not the only one lol.

  • what is that music that brad begins to sing in this scene what would you call that?

  • This is the all time creepiest acting scenes ever! It took alot out of him to take on this role! He really became the part! cheers to you Brad D. My worst nightmares came from this movie and this scene...thanks

  • Very true. It's so rare that two actors can play a scene with this effect. No props, no music, no unusual editing or quick cuts.

It works so well, and scares the shit out of you.

  • I've been telling my mates to watch this flick to show them that Heath Ledger was basically channelling Brad Dourif in that role. Dourif is such a great actor. Personally I think character actors are the very best there are.

  • I could listen to this guy for hours.

  • when he describes killing the priest by bloodletting, it sounds like a cooking show. "Lift the legs and squeeze till drained of blood. Place in oven for 40 minutes until golden brown."

oh yeah, "I LIKE PLAAAAYS!" nice

  • not only is this his best performance that i've seen, it's the best bad guy in a horror movie ever! badass!

  • saw this movie for the 1st time yesterdai, was amazing, random question, was the gemi murderer acc a real murderer?

  • no, it's fictional for the movie.

  • @chrislpurdy Well it was loosely based on the real life "zodiac killer"---amazing performance!!!

  • @kwijjyz who was the zodiac killer?

  • Another thing that makes Brad so creepy in this scene and the following scenes, is how he is constantly crying.

  • 3:14 the chucky voice started 2 kick in lol

  • i love brad. he lives in manhattan where i live and i'm hoping to see him walking down the street someday. truly underrated actor. love love love this guy!!!

  • wondered that if they were to ever do a proper TV series based around the famous Serial Killer Jack The Ripper then I believe that Brad would be the number 1 man to play that evil deranged murderous individual It would simply be an absolutely perfect role for Brad he could really bring a sense of intensity to the character and make him out to be very believable and not some hokey figure that dresses up in a black cloak and hides constantly in the shadows while awaiting to kill innocent people

  • Brad Dourif what a truly fantastic actor he is I have always loved seeing him especially when he plays an unforgettably great bad guy those roles have always been his specialty and I honestly believe that Graveyard Shift 1990, and Mississippi Burning 1988, have to be his 2 most brilliant roles as a nasty evil despicable villain and in Blue Velvet he's even more nastier and mean as one of Dennis Hoppers goons he's just such a wonderful charming person who I greatly admire and I have always

  • I'd like to restrain him and then introduce a small Butter Ball Turkey into his Anus!

  • There are few actors that put so much intensity into their roles.

  • Brad Dourif is an underrated actor. Look at the "Mississippi Burning".....

  • This Scene should be his resume lol Forget everything else lol

  • Great actor and his intensity in this film was amazing.

  • Brad Douriff Rules!!!!

  • Watched this the other day. GREAT FILM!!!

  • genial!!!!!!!!! bravo!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • That has GOT to be one of the greatest bitch slaps ever.

  • is that Hildegard of Bingen he's singing at 0.40?

  • No one can deny that these are some of the best scenes in the film. The first relied on alot of images and Mercedes McCambridge for the voice of the demon. But here it's what we're hearing that's so disturbing. The original is the best of course, but that's not to say any of the later movies were terrible. 2 and Dominion didn't do alot for me, but they were interesting in some parts. But Brad does such a great performance in these scenes. This is a huge and terrifying monolouge!

  • This Movie For Some Reason Scared The Shit Out Of Me It's So Dark And Evil I Actually Liked It Better Then The Origanal! I Know Don't Hate People Everyone Has Their Own Opinions But The Original Didn't Scare Me For Some Reason?

  • i love the first one ,none to less ,but legion ,man as a kid a couldn't sleep for weeks ,dourif realy scared the living shit out of me :) the entire movie is a grown up horror movie ,great directing ,great dialogue, cool effects ,great actinng ,just only greatness here

  • I was glad when he hit him

  • Best actor on the planet!

  • @joe6panther6 yes he is :]!

  • This is one of the best movies ever made... so underrated. And Brad is awesome! It's the movie that got me into him. :)

  • I came here to say exactly that!

  • Awesome! :)

  • CHUCKY

  • Brilliant...Just Brilliant. Dourif is a genious, there is no doubt.....

  • Dourif is a brilliant actor. He would be brilliant as Ledger's replacement!

  • I love this movie.

  • WHEN He was getting angry i herd the chucky voice its so awsome chucky an exorcist forever

  • HES AWSOME ACTOR

  • if they made another batman...i def think this dude could pull off the joker!

  • I was thinking that the same way.

  • I memorized that monologue years ago and I still remember most of it! I love Brad!

  • brad dourif was sooo sexy wen he was younger like in 1 flew over the cuckoos nest but its a shame hes gettin older - great actor tho'

  • he still has the most amazing eyes though :D

  • yea i know. i dont like him with blonde hair and a mustache. he looks real good brunette but the mustache makes him look older n its not a good thing to look older lol...

  • lol its sooo not fair how ppl hv 2 get older

  • Wow that was Amazing! but wait a dicapatated head can still see for 20 more seconds?

  • he was the voice of Chucky..lmao!

  • did he lower his voice for this movie? or did they alter his voice, it dus sound like it may have been changed by computer....

  • its all pies and anchoivies.

  • and then of course no one notices pearls before....... bammmm!. fuckin brilliant

  • I saw this in the theatre when it first came out and this performance has stuck with me since. After watching Batman I feel the same way. Here is the new joker...but even better.

  • I just came from seeing "The Dark Night", and as good as I thought Ledger was, there was something bugging me about his performance. It was reminding me of another actor, but I couldn't place it. Then it dawned on me after about 20 minutes. He was channeling Brad Dourif's performance from Excorsist III.

  • Holy crap, man.

I was thinking Brad Dourif would be a great choice to replace the late Mr. Ledger if The Joker came back for the sequel to Dark Knight.

  • I was thinking of that the same way too.

  • I haven't seen this particular movie, from watchin a few vids i'm not completely understanding it. Probably because its something you must see the full version to understand. Brad is truely an amazing actor. He has in been so many movies i like, i found him in some others i didn't even know he was casted in, like the rob zombies, halloween. This was great acting, how the fuck he started singin like dat is unbelievable.

  • Brad Dourif is such a brilliant actor...

  • Brad Dourif hahahah Chucky

  • just imagine how awesome it would be if brad dourif was casted as rorschach in the watchmen movie.

  • lol this guy was in MIAMI VICE SEASON 3

  • wao brad dourif in this exorcist is greath

    god video

  • glory to the lord of traidors, your force is needed by the king...thats what the song says

  • Brad Dourif is one of the best

  • Brad has the singing voice of an angel. lol.

  • ha! yes, singing was the best part...

  • does anyone know whats the songs name at 40 seconds??

ive been searching it for years plis help:(

  • To those who want to know more about the song, it's called "Gloria, laus et honor (tibi sit rex Christe redemptor)"

    by bishop Theodulf of Orleans.

  • He uses the word 'incidentally' a lot.

  • Demons tend to use that word a lot.

  • doesnt the guy at the start turn back into the devil at the end ?

  • Um...(if I remember correctly) I think what happened was the priest that came into the cell to get rid of the demon (but ended up getting pinned to the wall by the demon/soul of gemeni killer) manage to finish his reading his exorcism so that Father Karras could hold back the demon/soul of the Gemeni Killer inside of him long enough for Lt. Kinderman to shoot and kill him. Sorry if that answer sounded confusing but so was the film.

  • sorry my grammar was awful in my last response. let me repost that: Um...I think what happened was the priest that came into the cell to get rid of the demon (but ended up getting pinned to the ceiling by the demon/soul of gemeni killer) managed to finish his reading of the exorcism so that Father Karras could hold back the demon/soul of the Gemeni Killer inside of him long enough for Lt. Kinderman to shoot and kill him.

  • doesnt the guy at the start turn back into the devil at the end ?

  • wow... he got bitch slapped

  • epic. i used a portion of this soliloquy for a multi-media art piece in college.

"...of course it takes knowledge... pride in your work. good showmanship... the effect!"

thanks for putting this out there. what an unfortunately overlooked piece of acting, and all in all, a pretty good film.

  • It isn't normal : he makes me laugh. And yet... it isn't funny at all. ^^"""""""

  • batshit crazy!

  • I went on a website and it said Brad Dourif was the worst actor in this.....but i watch this and he's freakin awesome!!!!

  • jesus what idiot said that? I consider one of his best roles.

  • idk, but i was pretty mad at that person. Me too, he did really good in this.

  • you can hear the chucky voice at 3:15

  • you means charles lee ray?

  • his chucky voice comes out of him sometimes lol

  • great movie very entertaining

  • Eh, blow off, you dunce.

  • shut up

  • tottaly psycho but i like him!!!he's a fucking ascholl

  • Part of this scene is cut off. Does anyone know where I can get the full scene with Father Caras at the begining?

  • brad dourif is awesome...he's chucky....

  • totally....

Thos idiots want to take out Brad dourif for the remake of the original child's play...and Chucky aint Chucky if he isn't voiced by Brad Dourif!!

  • i always wanted to get that song

  • Do you know where it's from? It sounds familiar, but I just cant place it.

  • ITS CHUCKY D: AGH!!

  • what a psycho..great scene

  • Such a great scene. Brad Dourif is a truly unique and talented actor. He's so underrated. The way he can bring tears on que is amazing.

  • Yes ! So beautiful ! :-)
