If anyone who sees this would like to check out what im working on email me at motbcomics@yahoo.com or message me on facebook- the march of the bull

  • what exposure do you normally use? btw excellent tutorial

  • @93ally001 The exposure you use will just depend on how much time you have and how subtle you intend the variations to be. A high exposure will give dramatic results, but limit your detail. A low exposure takes patience, but will make your shading more substantial. Thanks :), glad it helped.

  • This is a pretty decent series. Great for people new to this. There's one thing I'd like to add, and it's something you might want to consider using in the future. Create a copy of your flats layer before you start rendering. Set the opacity of that layer to zero. That way, you are always able to select any parts you have to later on.

I don't know how many times I've been asked to change certain colours for some spots and having a backup flats layer is a life saver. Makes selecting easier.

  • Excellent tutorial. I use GIMP and PSE and this was still easy to follow and very informative. I wish they had some decent books out there with this info in them. I have two, but they are pretty basic or don't explain stuff quite enough.

  • There are a lot of great resources out there, the problem most of us have is that we don't know where to look. That's why I created this page. I study form a multitude of different sources, and I try to crawm it all in to one easy to follow method. I'm currently doing a lot of studying and sort of recharging for a new round of tutorials coming soon after the first of the year. Thanks for the comment, and thanks for watching!
