i absolutely love this game and have been playing it since i've been able to hold a gameboy. it is AWESOME! i have to agree, it looks best on the GBA SP (i remember thinking how pretty it looked on the GBA SP when i got it - kids like color ;-) )

tetris FTW.

P.S.: has this happened to anyone else - you take turns playing tetris and the person you're playing with gets annoyed because you play so much longer than they do? ;-)

Yeah but I'm better. I can't stand playing Tetris on that ugly black and white green barf color. I've played Tetris on most portable consoles. My favorite version is the NES. I never played the Tengen version.

I love the GameBoy version of "Tetris". I love the beautiful NES version a lot too. "V-Tetris" on the Virtual Boy is pleasant but unconfortable. The CD-i version of "Tetris", despite all possible logic, is very good. I can't stand "Tetris Worlds" on the GameBoy Advance, which is a shame since I usually love the GBA, wonderful handheld, but bad port of Tetris. I played "Tetris 2" on the SNES once last year and am still trying to erase any memory of it from my mind...just awful.

@MattDi1994 Because the DS would be physically incapable of playing the games if you could fit them in there and they didn't want people to be confused why their DS couldn't run gameboy games.

Ah classic. I have the DX version, though unfortunately it doesn't have the famous Tetris theme, but a few different ones that are quite decent. A lot of fun also :)

I always hated the original Game Boy. Quality of the screen was shocking, plus the console itself was too big and heavy. I was glad when the Game Boy Pocket came out, but I think Nintendo took the piss as it should of been the Color Game Boy (we waited way too long for that). I've also got Tetris DX for the Game Boy Color.

When I was 8, my first Game Boy game was Tetris DX, and thanks to that game I had become seriously addicted to Tetris; for the longest time, I remember taking this game and Tetris Plus with me wherever I went. =D Road trip? Bring Tetris. Trip to the supermarket? Bring Tetris. Visit to Grandma's house? Bring Tetris. Wake up in the morning? Play Tetris.

Until Pokemon, Tetris was the only Game Boy game I would ever play -- I loved it that much. =)

I have Tetris DS and can clear the classic mode really easily, on this one? I've never have made it past Level 12.
