@punnkypo Thanks for the comment ^^ I shot this video 2 years ago, so I don't remember the setting on top of my head...

But what I usually do is compressor at 10% with 50% gain, EQ at 10-5-3, no efx, and little bit of reverb. The bass I'm using in the video also has active EQ on it. I usually set the pickup switch to the middle, and have the EQ at max bass, 50% mid, and 70% treble.

I just get defensive about my bass playing, because usually people expect bassists to do a certain thing (root notes, follow the drum beat, etc), and when bassists do something that's slightly out of the box they get uncomfortable and criticize it. It was just my defensive mechanism, don't worry about it lol

Funny you heard it that way. I haven't done any classical guitar training, but I studied little bit of Bach cello suites and stuff like that on the bass. Maybe a little bit of that is trickling down on my bass playing :)

@ai4281 i took classical for 3 years, and the trick to lots of pieces is being able to play both the bass line and the melody together.

a good example is "edgar cruz", he takes lots of contemporary and classic rock songs and plays them on classical guitar with the lead and rhythm. he's on youtube, check him out.
