When I think of guitarists I think of Kerry King no Jeff Hanneman. It's because Jeff doesn't do much with the media so he doesn't get as much attention as Kerry does.
Most of the music is written seperatly, then they bring it to the table with the rest of the band. From there they flesh out the songs. If you look on the credits of their songs you usually can tell who wrote what. Hanneman actually writes alot of the lyrics.

No offense intended if that really is Jeff Hanneman. What I find striking as far as the vocal sound is that it really closely resembles the voice of the singer of a mediocre band named Dark Angel. Which goes to say thats why vocalists need to bring more than a P.A.
Yes, I think Gene Hoglan is a brilliant drummer. And some of the guitar playing excellent. Dark Angel never really cut a place for themselves. A big part of that was thier vocalist. Also I say thier best recordings like "Time Does Not Heal and The New Preisthood" just were mediocre

To me, guys like Zetro Souza or Chuck Billy are far worse than those two ever were, but Testament and Exodus are better known. if DA had any weakness, I'd say the guitars weren't always very tight sounding, especially live. but hell, the songwritting was just fkn outstanding.

No offense intended if that really is Jeff Hanneman. What I find striking as far as the vocal sound is that it really closely resembles the voice of the singer of a mediocre band named Dark Angel. Which goes to say thats why vocalists need to bring more than a P.A.

Yes, I think Gene Hoglan is a brilliant drummer. And some of the guitar playing excellent. Dark Angel never really cut a place for themselves. A big part of that was thier vocalist. Also I say thier best recordings like "Time Does Not Heal and The New Preisthood" just were mediocre

which vocalist are you talking about? I think Don Doty was great, Ron Rinehart was ok. To me, guys like Zetro Souza or Chuck Billy are far worse than those two ever were, but Testament and Exodus are better known. if DA had any weakness, I'd say the guitars weren't always very tight sounding, especially live. but hell, the songwritting was just fkn outstanding.
