Well, actually, LimeWire is a program, not a site used to download music. And to my knowledge, you get viruses from the files you download, not the actual program itself. People just need to exercise caution and common sense with the files they download.

This is why I just use google to find my .mp3 files.

That way, I can use an ftp proxy, and firefox scans files with my antivirus scanner before i open the files.

It works well that way.
