  • She is one of the greatest guitarists in the world!

  • for peoples who want the pdf file of all 12 studies of Villa Lobos, contact me on msn, or send me your msn address,I have the original pdf

  • sham the sound is not good...can see at least that the playing is soberb...

  • guys where can i find notes ( PDF ) for this .. but free? please !

  • @iliev7 email me and ill send it to you.

  • this is sea black sea and im drunk!

  • caprona!!!heheheeheheh

  • Like waves in the ocean...

  • Tooo modern for me.

  • @vindic4479 yeah sometimes etudes sound a little less musical since the composer is focusing on a technicality of playing.

Check out his brazilian suite (Suite Populaire Bresilienne - has 5 movements)

  • My favorite. Dynamics and tension building are spot on. Comes like a swell, uh no, a tsunami!

  • No feeling at all, despite the fact its not as fast (which isn't always a good thing) segovia's version was much better

  • @Sturrfry No feeling? Really? That's a cop-out critique...

  • Comment removed

  • @Sturrfry based on what? technique? I saw Segovia a dozen times. He never even dreamed of having technique like that

  • @musikaNeues there are no dynamics,in segovia's version the bass is loud and clear and smooth, this version seems like a dull race to the finish. and he did have a technique like that, its just that they didn't have the ability to record him when he did. When he was her age i bet he was at least as good as her

  • @Sturrfry The Segovia recordings from the 1930s are a marvelous event... it was the main inspiration for Julian Bream when he was a child, listening to that.

You can certainly hear his technique in those early recordings, very clearly. It's simply not up to this quality.

Why? Because Segovia didn't have Julian Bream, John Williams, or Ana Vidovic to study and learn from!

He restored the classical guitar to the regard it was held in the early 19th Century & for that he'll live forever

  • @Sturrfry I have highest regard for Segovia, but he was certainly surrounded by a primitive sort of marketing strategy.

Ida Presti was always his equal, but who knows of her today? She died so young yet her legacy is on recordings for people to hear. Her tone was supreme!!

    Regards

  • @musikaNeues I listened to some recording by Ida Presti and i think some of her playing is better than segovia. Thank you helping me find someone new to listen too :P and i think the main reason segovia is more famous is because he kind of made classical guitar popular again. so people want to hear what he had to say so to speak. Segovia spoke through his music.

  • @Sturrfry He was a virtuoso... a word that gets thrown around too much & loses meaning.... but his name stands with Casals, Paderewski, Jeifetz & Rostropovich at the summit of those early recording years... and Presti's name should be there also

Interesting that if you listen to those early masters, they have an a great disregard for the metronome.

Their music, from BEFORE the recorded era, shows how music was played before our universities decided we all had to march to the same beat!!

  • @Sturrfry If I could find the tiniest inkling of neglect on our Ana Vidovich's mastery, it would be she has too much fondness for the metronome... music must breathe!!

  • I love how the tuning pegs glisten along with Ana's beauty, haha.

  • One of my favorite pieces by Villa Lobos. She's very talented, even though I also enjoy Milos Karadaglic's and Pepe Romero's interpretation as well. Well done!

  • All she does is play fast T_T

  • lol , 6 months for 1 measure

  • @Pikangu Obviously just to play the notes it took 5 seconds probably for the guy BUT to get it that fast and natural without tension in the hand, going up on the metronome 1 beat at a time, yes, I'm sure it took a VERY long time for EVERYONE, Ana Vidovic included :)

  • @Pikangu Yeah.

  • for you maybe i did it in one week

  • This song isn't hard to learn : After one measure, you can play the whole song.......But it takes you 6 months for one measure.

  • @AzafreakSM

Lol I agree but the whole song took me a week to memorize but i still havnt got to half the speed

  • @roberto4396 Yeah me too. I'm at my second month and ive recently reach 140ish but it needs to be cleaner.

  • @AzafreakSM haha so true

  • @AzafreakSM no actually i learned it in 3 weeks the only thing you got to do is studying the arpeggio very well and all the cords then you start getting more speed until you got it the whole etude :D... you just need to study

  • @AzafreakSM i learned how to play this song in about 1 and a half month, all i need to do next is speed it up and thats what methronome is for...by the way am 15 years old.

  • @AzafreakSM it is not that hard,...

  • @Doctor50120 so, play this song in 1:56 min

  • @marciosilvaguitar ok, i can do it, i can do it eaven better than you belive, but im not prof. anny longer.....

  • @AzafreakSM So 7 months since your last comment already learned it?

  • @nefisstoss haha yeah

  • Très technique ce qu'elle fait.

  • *¬*

  • Wonderful!

  • fenomenal y hermosa ¡¡

  • Love you ana.

  • I play faster and cleaner than she!!! then I wake up from my dream and practice a little more...

    awasome!!!

  • i play faster and cleaner than she!! then i wake up from my dream and practice a little more

  • like the sea

  • Manque la fin!

  • she's hot and plays perfectly.CONGRATULATIONS

  • Sposami.

  • Gonzalo Salazar cannot match the beauty of her performances. One, because he's 100 times uglier and two, because she transmits her beauty from her self to the guitar...

  • marry me

  • woww!!! excelente y es tan hermosa *-*!

  • taco siesta burrito mucho!

  • Expectacular.. !!!

    No te querés casar conmigo?

  • gonzalo Salazar performs better in y opinion

  • Amazing!

  • F*** THE ACOUSTIC. I COULDN'T HEAR SUCH A BEAUTIFUL RENDITION PROPERLY.

  • is this the same song as etude no 1 from villa-lobos?

  • @MsAzz12345 yes. its Étude number 1

  • I don't think the acoustics in the recording are doing her playing justice!

  • one of the best performances. <3

  • She's beautiful. I would marry her easy. Genial!

  • This record is not so good, but, is possible to listen and, this is the best interpretation that I ever heard, best then Segovia. You doubt that? Listen to Segovia in Youtube and see with you own eyes...

She make music. I am brazilian (I know, my english is very poor) and listen this music a lot... all students play this study. But make music... few.

You can teach the brazilians lady!

  • I would like to meet those a..holes that dislike this interpretation. they would not have a face after that.

  • awesome

  • this is the best version of this estudio i heard so far...i like the clarity and the feeling she gives to it ;)

  • He's way better. watch?v=nTa3wbgFp80&feature=related

  • Damn you, vile woman...

  • me thinks, the mike aimed at the guitar is not switched on!! too bad.

  • me thinks, the mike in front of the guitar is not switched on!!

  • fuck she is GOOD!

  • ES MI MAMA , is my mother

  • 79 are jealous guitar critics.

  • @GameLevelEditor or 79 people are justin bieber's fan ... =)

  • Thats some speedy arpeggios and they sound fluid.

  • @Soulfree2008 yes.

  • you are great...

  • que pasada... increible, sin palabras!

  • Perfect !

  • Damn, I bet when she masturbates, she cums in like 5 seconds with fingers that can go that fast. Buenisimo!

  • ana ja te volim tebe

  • Excelente mano derecha!!

  • WOW EXCELENTEE!

  • her guitar had a 1:56 second orgasm..... :-)

  • great playing!

    ChrisPicking

  • That is possibly one of the most amazing things I have ever heard on guitar. WOW. I'm lost for words.

  • I can't believe she just performed Tacoma, Washington and I missed the opportunity to see her. I truly admire how her emotions flow with any piece she plays.

  • Hi, I think Ana Vidovic is Ana Vidovic. We should not compare her with anyone. She has her own style. The young often play better than the previous generations. In my opinion, she is the best guitarist in the world at our age. Thank you Ana Vidovic.

  • Magnífica Ana Vidovic. Magnífica!!!!!!!

  • schöner automat

  • She's second Segovia. It's a pitty that sound quality is poor here (badly positioned microphones). I LOVE HER!

  • plz someone, what does she exactly do, with her right hand? its awesome!

  • @3aBTpaKTyPuCTa with the fingering that Khithara gave you, here is what strings she hits. 6453423121324354 (repeat)

  • ...such economy of motion in the picking fingers... excellent.

  • its beautifull

    thank you for exist!!!!!!!

  • The reason the tuning is "off" is because when you are a solo classical guitar performer you don't always tune your guitar to 440 you tune it to the frequency that sits better with that specific guitar. They aren't all the same, some guitars resonate better in Eb like mine and hers might produce a better sound at this tuning, it just all depends on the guitar

  • How can a person give a dislike and not even have the common decency to motivate that choice. Very nice song and very well executed

  • Her arms look masculine. hr hr hrhr

  • speed up or not she has great dynamic control and incredible independance of p,i,m,a.

  • Nice. Hang in there.(TS)

  • Beautifully done!!!

  • Maybe the guitar sounds higher because she's playing so fast.

  • I thought about her tuning the guitar higher, but to me it seemed more like this video is sped up. In this video, she plays much more faster than 120 a quarter note, which is unusual of this piece.

  • @michelle761017 shes a world class player lol she can play however she wants this vid isn't sped up in my opinion

  • @GhostzMind But how do you explain this tuning? It's not really any kind of tuning, I know she tend to play her pieces fast, but this really wouldn't make any sense playing in this kind of tuning. 120 a quarter note is decent fast for this piece, she is way faster. That tuning is just not right.

  • Her guitar seems to be tuned a half-step up.... interesting

Great technique but the recording is not the greatest. She is a great guitarist, I don't understand why a lot of people don't like her. Is there a video of her doing Villa-Lobos No. 12?

  • @oscarivera9 -Anyone who doesn't like this woman are just simply jealous of her looks and talent!

  • Sounds like it was recorded in an underground bathroom with a broken microphone.

    Pity.

  • Beautiful interpretation of this Villa-Lobos study.

  • excellent quelle main droite !!!

  • PONOS SRBIJE!!!

  • ONA JE PONOS I DIKA SRBIJE!!!

  • Well done! Such a nice face! Such a beautiful dress! Such a fine guitar! And such a pleasant sounding playing! This famous study of Villa Lobos .All combine perfectly!

  • excelente version

    felicidades!!!

  • Comment removed

  • that is not E minor... is almost F minor... but she plays awesome!!

  • orales tocaas muy bonitooooo very very niceeeeeeee

  • orrible

  • IGUAL QUE TU ORRIBLE SIN HHHHHHHH!

  • I love her! .great job..

  • I certainly like to hear him play, but sometimes you feel like turning the goddam piano over. I think it's because sometimes when he plays, he sounds like the kind of guy that won't talk to you unless you're a big shot.

    The Catcher in the Rye

    Holden Caulfield in Chapter 11

Watch Glen Gould... different than ana...

  • Ernie's a big fat colored guy that plays the piano. He's a terrific snob and he won't hardly even talk to you unless you're a big shot or a celebrity or something, but he can really play the piano. He's so good, he's almost corny, in fact. I don't exactly know what I mean by that, but I mean it.

  • Too. Much. Reverb?

  • This was a great execution of this piece from all perspectives.

  • Ive seen her a bunch live... asked her out even... I still like barruecco's best, but she's beyond. one of his few students i believe....

  • @username74back asked her out? Don't you see she spends 25 hours a day practicing? lol

  • she always surprises me,so perfect technique

  • she is cro

  • shit this is so empowering omg.... i fucking love her

  • she tunes to a 445 usually

  • Excelente técnica e interpretación. Ana Vidovic es una gran guitarrista. Saludos desde México.

  • Th most mechanical right hand i've ever seen

  • she's fly

  • AMAZING, I am working on this, and looking forward to play it like yours. Thank You

  • very different from segovia's on youtube. Less melodic, but very expressive.nice

  • i dont know why people are thumbsing you down... its true segovias version is more melodic and melow and slow, vidovic' has more intonation to it tho (i dont know the term im not a musician) but some notes are very strong and some are very soft.. shes rly good at that

  • @19Gui86, She's version has more dynamic (or dinamic?). That's the term.

  • She is a great player but she is playing this piece too fast - most of the bass notes are lost.

  • @jefftribute...yeah sure, but youre just saying that because u can't play it like this

  • my dream girl. beautiful, foreign, a virtuoso at classical guitar.......sigh.....

  • she is hot, but also a great musician none the less...

  • I love how the lights shine off the head stock

  • Very good point, off the tuners... gives it a dreamy effect!

  • I have never known why people play the segovia version and not the original -- the original is far better.

  • what is the segovia version?

  • this one! -- he changed most of the Villa Lobos pieces. In the original each arpeggio on a chord is only once not twice and the end harmonics are different. Both chords have a harmonic and there is one harmonic that Segovia added to the section before that should be an open (e)

  • Segovia knew Villa-Lobos personally and probably discussed this with him.

The music is only a map of the territory.

Composers often make additions, amendments later to their pieces that only someone in the know would know about.

  • thanks for pointing out something I already know. And that has nothing to do with my original statement. You should read first. Or do you just like to type?

  • Actually I addressed your point. You were making a case for the original manuscript.

I'm saying that the changes Segovia made were with the approval of the composer. Segovia was in a much better position ,knowing the composer, than you,
