either way, the gulf coast after the oil spill still looks nicer than most places in england, that country is gloomy & depressing and you practically have to pay to breathe..the only thing keeping me sane was the thought of my departure..
People believe or have big trust to government or big corporations that manipulate countries to save nations. Lost ability to think for themselves. In their subconscious mind believe that trusting someone would take problem away. Or some ordained one somehow would direct country into right path.
@joefish1988 Actually, you're right I don't know anything about comedy. My expertise lies in identifying dipshits. And you, are a freaking dipshit. You're a negative creep. You're a loser who likes to put other people down to make yourself feel good about yourself. You can dis people on YouTube all night long from your mama's couch, but nobody cares about your little negative thoughts. Nobody.
@eric8542011 BP's HQ is in Houston, Texas. It isn't even called British petroleum anymore and is mainly owned by Americans and the fault of the spill was on poor equipment and low quality cement owned and operated by the American sub-contractors. I really don't see why people are linking the spill to Britain at all. Btw England is only one country in Britain, they're 3 more (Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland).
The investigation already pinned the blame on the BP management in London, not the contractors. BP is shitty company just like every oil company. Get over it.
@fosterslover Yes the official investigation carried out by the US govt. who at the time and still do love a great scapegoat put the blame on BP, who neither operated or owned the cause of the oil spill. Becuase let's face it the American govt. would love to blame their dangerous oil industry on another country and it's industry. The blame should be place on the US govt. who make millions by not placing great regulation on the oil industry and stopping incidents like this.
So it's the governments fault that a company blatantly disregarded safety in its business practices? I agree that stricter regulations should be put in place help to prevent such incidents from taking place, but a company should always be putting safety and environmental protection at the top of their priority lists. BP failed to do that and, in turn, affected the livelihood of millions and poisoned a vast expanse of marine habitat.
@fosterslover A company is out their to make profit for their shareholders, and they're going to do that anyway they can. That is their no.1 priority & we shouldn't be so ignorant 2 believe that they wud think anyway differently. That means it is the governments job to make sure the industry follows environmental safety by regulating industry. The govt failed to do that, because the less regulations, more oil= more money at a larger risk. And BP didn't own or operate the failed equipment.
@98raza20 Companies are not little children that can't tell the difference between right and wrong. We're talking about basic business ethics. This is the 21st century, and corporations need to be held accountable for their actions. You can place blame on the government for enabling the crisis to take place, but that doesn't deflect blame from what BP did to cause it. The construction of the rig was rushed and warning signs were ignored in the lead up to the explosion.
@98raza20 ""put the blame on BP, who neither operated or owned the cause of the oil spill."" BP was in charge directly on the rig. They were rushing the process from start to finish. Their orders circumventing safe practices leading up to the blowout led directly to that blowout. BP has more safety violations than all the other major oil companies combined. A few years before this with their Texas refinery fire they were fined record amounts for safety violations. See the 60min report.
its beyond petroleum. it stopped being british petroleum when the majority ownership was AMERICAN. also the workers on the rig were AMERICAN. so the fact people are blaming an entire nation for something that was actually nothnig to do with them just shows the true stupidity of americans. hurr durr lets bring up a name from 1998 and blame it on that.
@tilster11 As an american who thinks british people should shut up and we're blaming the company not britain, I have to say: We're sorrrrryyyyyy. Sorry. We're sorry.
@DKM101 I think you should shut up. Because BP is only related to Britain by their former name (British Petroleum) which was changed to BP in 1998. No other connection to Britain. And as if by saying "I'm american" it changes the value of your comment???? If you were British, Italian, French, Canadian, South African i'd still tell you to shut up.
@98raza20 You see raza, sometimes when someone says something, you respond to the things that they said using words from their sentences! I think it's stupid for people like you to invent the idea that people think BP's disaster was the fault of anything british. I'm agreeing with you, but it seems like you're arguing a point that's already obvious. ("NOOO DONT YOU SEE, OBAMA'S BLACK!")
also look up "south park sorry bp" to get what everyone's been referencing.
@DKM101 Look at your own comment "we're not blaming the country we're blaming the company" which implies that the company is somehow related to the country when it isn't. BP is NOT related to Britain, Britain shouldn't even have been mentioned in the Oil Spill if it wasn't for pure ignorance.
@98raza20 No shit? That's not what I just said twice? Yes, when you only take my comment into account, I'm the only one who brought up britain (duh). However, since I replied to something, I wasn't the one who brought it up. I agree that BP is not related to britain. I especially agree that it shouldn't have been brought up at all, but I didn't bring it up, I'm saying that it's stupid to bring it up because no major group thinks britain had anything to do with it. Are you dense?
Don't you just hate it when you scratch your ass during a warm day, and when you come home and check your underwear there's a brown stain in them? Even more discusting is that I accidentally saw my mom going nom nom nom on the stain when she was doing laundry... even more discusting is that i was fapping while watching
ok guys it wosent his fult i watched a video on him in class at school and it was the enginers fault so fuck off ok hes a good guy by paying for all the oil in the gulf that wosent his fault
BP is a great company. They should have tax money clean up that spill. Why the fuck should they be forced to pay for that shit, the oil was already there.
Look up "how to boom correctly" and you will see how the BP clean up had about as much tact put into it as someone who shits on the side of your toilet seat, then smears it around trying to clean it up with one hand, then gets up, and say's "I tried".
"Keep you informed"? What about the hundreds of reporters who were denied access by BP employees and officials to many oil-soaked beaches? "Strong support of the Government"? Has anyone seen his hearing with the Senate where he gets verbally slaughtered by people twice his age? This is a hack and a complete lie. Tony Hayward should put a pistol in his mouth.

This is not the first disgusting thing BP does .. they also overthrough the gov in Iran from a democratic one to dictatorship of their choice. Because of oil ...
The attack on Iraq was also done after Iraq wanted a clear energy bill ... seems quite familiar ..
