Why exactly do you need to clean dominoes in the first place?

if he had them sorted before washing it would take longer because he would have to do a wash for each color. and if he sorted them before and washed them together they would get all mixed up, and would have to sort them again after anyway.

My concern is dominos breaking in the dryer.
