I'm pretty sure MMA would have been ready to drop tanks if the mutas started attacking medevacs. I don't think there were enough to actually kill the dropships in a single volley. It would definitely have turned out better for DRG though, but at the same time, you have to realize that broodlords make tanks near useless, so MMA was basically cutting his losses. The real risk was losing 2 healers, but that's still not a huge difference. He did something similar in game 7.

This was more DRG fucking up the engagement then MMA doing a great move.. he got kind of caught off guard by the BLs and that was kind of.. trying something out. DRG shouldve killed the medivacs flying to the BLs instead of focusing on attackingi the main army of MMA with lingbling and the mutas near the planetary and not waiting for the broodlords... guess he just thought he had the game won and got overconfident and just fucked up

he actually just killed one infestor and a half with that drop. what's important is that considering DRG was trying to adopt the perfect position this drop/split outright confused him. however MMA had a superior army and would have won anyway. this move is good but isn't 'amazing decision-making game-changing pure genius shit' like you guys seem to state.

it looked smart because drg didn't use mutas to kill medivacs....if drg did target medivacs it would have made mma look stupid like donating 2 medivacs and 4 tanks.....

@azngen1233 DRG never saw him put the tanks in the medivacs, he also wouldn't expect the medivacs to be filled with anything. To DRG it looked like a miss control by MMA, thats why he ignored them, it was more important for him to get the proper position with his army then delay it by killing "two empty medivacs".

@MrDanielGriffith it would have taken 2 seconds to kill both medivacs. drg was careless and it made mma look like a genius. not only did drg mess up big time by not spending the 2 seconds it would have taken to kil both medivacs he ran all him banelings into thors and didn't control infestors well.

basically drg messed up. he had the game won with his composition and mma sacrificing the 4 tanks 2 medivacs would have sealed drg the win

@azngen1233 he tried it assuming what drg would do and he ended up making the right decision. it doesn't matter what DRG shoulda done, it matters that MMA did it and he won because of it. mma knew he would lose a straight up battle so he tried something crazy like that because it was his best chance at winning if DRG fucked it up. I thought "Why didn´t he kill the 2 medivaks???" ... when you are ALL IN , you HAVE to kill each unit you get the chance to kill no matter what, mutas would have killed the 2 medivaks in a split of a second, it´s not like the terran player would have bought any time by doing that ...

I guess it is important to get the positioning right with his army but surely 2 free dropship kills would of added only like 5 secs more to get the positioning right. I don't know if i would call it "smart" but i love how only someone like boxer would have the balls to pull that off.

@MrDanielGriffith Proper position? Broodlord's can't attack Medivacs and they are the units that making this push work. Taking a nanosecond for Mutalisk to pick off two free Medivacs would of been the first thing that came to his mind reguardless of if he saw anything loaded it in it or not. This is too desperate to call amazing, it's a good last ditch effort to throw DTG off balance which work.

The idea was to throw DRG's attention else where not kill Infestors.

@vaporizeru no I'm master random, the medivacs could;ve been killed way easily. the tank only took out 2 infestors. The dropping of the tank did not change the out come of the fight anyway. DRG made a mistake running the banes in and did not pick a good fight
